Michaels, Carl Eugene, age 82 of Knoxville, passed away Monday January 22, 2001. Mr. Michaels was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Rockford Masonic Lodge #469 F&AM;, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He was a HAM Radio operator (WA4TKN) and was retired from both Trucker Steel Corp. and Beverly Steel Corp. Survived by wife, Nina Belle Hawn Michaels; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Brett and Beve Lea Teasley Michaels; granddaughter, Rosa Lea Michaels, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. S. L. Spangler, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 6632 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 or Shriners Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502. Dickerson, Dr. Robert V., age 83, of North Knoxville, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001 at St. Mary?s Medical Center. He was former Pastor of Long Beach Bible Presbyterian Church, Long Beach, CA; Assistant Pastor of Bible Presbyterian Church of Collingswood, NJ; Supply Pastor to several churches in the Knoxville area. He was also a board member for the Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions. He was a member of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. He was a First Lieutenant in the Air Force during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dickerson; daughters and sons-in-law: Beth and Rev. G.W. Fisher; Debby and Dr. Ed Gross; son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Joan Dickerson; grandchildren: Miriam, Matthew, Joy, Glenn, and Andrew Fisher; Charity, John, Faith, and Hope Gross; John, Emily, Rebecca, Sarah, Robert, and Ashley Dickerson; sister, Phyllis Dickerson of Ypsilanti, MI; brother, Charles Dickerson of Ypsilanti, MI. Joseph Franklin Carr, Jr., age 88 of Sevierville, passed away Friday, January 19, 2001 at Ft. Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. He was the only son of the late J. Frank and Selma Carr. Mr. Carr was a member of the Sevierville Church of Christ, an Army veteran and was a well known and retired businessman of the Sevierville community for 55 years.
