Mr. Michaels was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Rockford Masonic Lodge #469 F&AM;, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He was a HAM Radio operator (WA4TKN) and was retired from both Trucker Steel Corp. and Beverly Steel Corp. Survived by wife, Nina Belle Hawn Michaels; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Brett and Beve Lea Teasley Michaels; granddaughter, Rosa Lea Michaels, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. S. L. Spangler, Jr. officiating. He was former Pastor of Long Beach Bible Presbyterian Church, Long Beach, CA; Assistant Pastor of Bible Presbyterian Church of Collingswood, NJ; Supply Pastor to several churches in the Knoxville area. He was also a board member for the Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions. He was a member of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. He was a First Lieutenant in the Air Force during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dickerson; daughters and sons-in-law: Beth and Rev. G.W. Mr. Carr was a member of the Sevierville Church of Christ, an Army veteran and was a well known and retired businessman of the Sevierville community for 55 years.
