Herbert O. “Hoss” Murrell, age 73 of Seymour, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 6, 2002. Mr. Murrell was a member and inactive deacon of First Baptist Church, Seymour. He retired from the Aluminum Company of America – Tennessee Operations in 1992 after 39 years of service. Mr. Murrell served as chaplain of the United Steel Workers, Local 309. He was an original member of Company B 180th Infantry, 45th Infantry Divison (Korea). Frankie Temple Cutshaw

Frankie Temple Cutshaw, age 76 of Sevierville, died Monday, November 4, 2002 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Marietta, Georgia. Frankie, the first child of John Ellis and Effie Benson Temple, was born September 3, 1926 in Oak City, Tennessee (Sevier County). She moved with the family to Sevierville in October 1934 and lived there until November 1998 when she moved to Atlanta to reside near her children. Frankie graduated from Sevier County High School in 1944 and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1948. She married H.A. Cutshaw, Jr. in 1948. During her University of Tennessee years, Frankie was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. After graduation she was secretary/treasurer of Temple Milling Company from 1948- 1993 and helped the family develop and operate the family business. She was a teacher at Sevier County High School 1952-1953. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville, where she served as director of the two year old nursery department for many years. She was active in PTA of Sevierville Elementary School, serving as President and was State Secretary of PTA. She was Past Matron of Sevier Chapter # 138 Order of the Eastern Star. She helped organize and was the first President of the Sevier County University of Tennessee Alumni Association. She was a member of the Tuesday Evening Music Club and GFWC of Tennessee Manthano Club. Frankie was the organizer of the first Teen Board in Sevier County in 1961 and served as an advisor until 1993. She served the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce many years as a director and treasurer. She was preceded in death by husband H.A. Cutshaw, Jr., parents John and Effie Temple, brother-in-law Russell Hughes, niece Jane Elizabeth Temple, grandnephew John Russell Hughes.
