Naomi (Mimi) Sloan
Mrs. Naomi (Mimi) Sloan, age 80, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2004 in Indiana.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Anderson and Woodard Funeral Home with burial in the Siloam Cemetery.
Mrs. Sloan was born in Bethpage, Tennessee on December 8, 1923 to James Thomas Hammock and Vergie May Hammock who preceded her in death. Naomi was married to Joseph Sloan of Indianapolis, IN. She was a retired worker for Indianapolis Power & Light, a school teacher for Chestnut Grove School in Hartsville in 1942, a member of Eulia General Baptist Church and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post #64.
In addition to her husband, other survivors are daughters: Patricia Ann Godsey of Muncie IN; and Barbara Joe Gilmore of Lebanon, OH; sisters: Thelma Louise Lambert of Gallatin; Willie Mae Scruggs and Mary Jo Gregory, both of Westmoreland; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Rocky Stephens
Rocky Stephens, 38, of Pleasant Grove Road in West-moreland, passed away Jan. 30, 2004 at Summit Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, 3 p.m. at Lakeside Church with Bro. Leon Graves and Bro. George Wallace officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 19, 1965 in Gallatin, TN, a son of Willard Stephens and Alline Andrews Stephens of Westmoreland, who survive. Other survivors include a brother, Billy Stephens, Marietta, GA; and a sister, Kaye Holmes, Westmoreland.

Jeff (O.G.) Sullivan
Jeff (O.G.) "Bunny" Sullivan, age 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Macon County, TN, passed away at the Nathan Adelson Hospice Care on January 5, 2004 from cancer. He was cremated in Las Vegas.
He was born April 17, 1949 (Easter morning). He was the son of Marie Goad Sullivan Hall of Lafayette and the late Clarence Alvin Sullivan of the Green Grove Community. Besides his mother, he is survived by several cousins and an uncle, Herman Sullivan, of the Fairview Community of Macon County.
Jeff was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church.

Terry Driver
Terry "Jackhammer" Driver, 44 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born July 4, 1958, and was a 1977 graduate of Macon County High School. He was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church and was the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Lafayette Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Duffer Driver; a son, Nathan Driver; his father, Clyde "Pete" Driver; his mother, Jessie York Driver; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Donna Driver, all of Lafayette, TN; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Johnson, Kingston Springs, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Terry "Jackhammer" Driver were conducted at Wednesday, September 24, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Richard Wilson, Eld. Anthony Hale, Eld. Don Curtis, and Lafayette Fire Chief Keith Scruggs officiating. Burial was in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Troy Brawner, Michael Cothron, Michael Duffer, Barron Smith, Scott Sadler, Nicholas Jones, Rick Gann, and Terry Gann. Honorary pallbearers were members of Lafayette Fire Department and all City of Lafayette employees.

Mary Nixon passed away September 18, 2003, at Macon County General Hospital.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Wilson C. and Altie Mae Hire Claiborne. She was married to Norman J.P. Blankenship who preceded her in death on January 28, 1957. She married Loyal Edmond Nixon who preceded her in death on december 30, 1983. She was also preceded in death by sons Larry and Billy Wayne Blankenship; and brothers Cordell and Roy Claiborne. She retired from Marlene Industries in Hartsville, TN where she worked in shipping and packing.
Survivors include: daughter Kathy Blankenship, Westmoreland; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayland and Brenda Blanken-ship, Lafayette, Charles and Mary Ann Blankenship, Seymour, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gracie and Audie Smith, Madison, TN, Louise and Limon Gammon, Indianapolis, IN; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Dixie Claiborne, Greenbrier, TN., 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.

Fannie Mae Knight, 95, of the Galen Community and formerly of 1303 Oldham Lane, Lafayette, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at her residence. The Macon County, TN native was born November 26, 1907, a daughter of the late Harvie Knight and Minnie Lester Knight. She was a homemaker and member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church since 1932.
Stephen Donque Parker
Stephen Donque Parker, 53, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. The Macon County, TN native was a road designer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a former member of the Odd fellows Lodge and attended Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Reba Taylor Parker, of Lafayette; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donque Parker, on June 12, 1999.

Funeral services for Sharon Lynn Turner Wilder, age 39, of Red Boiling Springs, TN, were conducted Tuesday, July 17, 2003, 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN, with Bro. Tim Eaton and Bro. Terry Howard officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Interment was in Smith Chapel Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs.
