Carolyn Snow Allison, age 56 of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. She was the daughter of Nicholas J. Pustay, III and Katherine Meyer Pustay of Canton, Ohio. She was a graduate of East Canton, Ohio and was a former resident of Canton, Ohio and Siler City, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas J. Pustay, III; grandparents, Nicholas J. Pustay, II and Jenni Miga Pustay all of Canton, Ohio; grandparents, Carl A. Meyer and Caroline Nass Meyer of Chicago, Illinois. Survivors: Husband of 36 years: David Leroy Allison, formerly of Canton, Ohio and Siler City, North Carolina Son: David Leroy Allison, Jr. of North Carolina Daughter and Son-in-law: Kathleen Marie Allison Windham and David Windham, missionaries under appointment to Romania, currently of Lakeland, Florida. Donald J. McKendrick, age 75 of Sevierville, Tennessee died July 24, 2002 at Home. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Claire (Benhardt) McKendrick, and brother Peter Jr. Don, was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and resided most of his life in South Brunswick, New Jersey. He worked as a member of Plumbers and Pipe fitters Local 9 Union, retiring after 47 years of service in 1992. In 1993 he then relocated to Sevierville, Tennessee, then moved to Maiden, North Carolina, Spring Hill, Florida before returning to Sevierville in 1999. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII as well as the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Holly Cross Catholic Church in Pigeon Forge, TN and the American Legion 104 of Sevierville, TN. Don, was active all his life with Racing Pigeons and was a member or the American Racing Pigeon Union, pre-retirement he belonged to Bound Book, Perth Amboy and Queen City Pigeon Clubs in New Jersey later in life he joined the Catawba Club in North Carolina, and the Gulf Coast Club in Florida. Mills, Frances Wells, age 87, of South Knoxville, expired July 25, 2002 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was born in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee on February 27, 1915. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Mills; son, Paul Morgan Mills; infant daughter, Betty Sue Mills; parents, Floyd and Mary (Mab) Reynolds Wells; and grandparents, Asa and Florence Sullivan Wells; and George Wesley and Margaret Annye Gentry Reynolds. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and cherished mother-in-law. She was a lifetime third generation member of First Christian Church of Knoxville (Disciples of Christ). She retired from a career of 26 years as an assistant in oral surgery to Dr. Harvey and Dr. John E. Sullivan. She was an avid fan of NASCAR. She and husband, Paul enjoyed pleasure boating on the TVA lakes. As members of the National Outboard Association, she participated by scoring for races and time trials. She enjoyed spending summers in Townsend at Big Valley Resort and Trailer Park. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1931 and was active in the KHS Alumni Association until she became handicapped. Grandsons, Kevin Paul Mills and wife, Melissa Wood Mills, of Collierville, Tennessee; and Steven Morgan Mills and wife, Patricia Reese Mills of Tustin, California; great granddaughters, Sarah Morgan, Elizabeth Frances, and Kathryn Marlene Mills of Collierville, Tennessee; and Jennifer Ashley Mills of Tustin California; sister, Marguerite Wells Henry of Maryville, Tennessee ; niece, Mary F. French, Chattanooga, Tennessee; nephew, Robert Henry of Maryville, Tennessee; and daughter-in-law, Beulah Mills of Seymour, Tennessee. Funeral service at First Christian Church, 12 Noon on Saturday.
