Jessie Laverne Driver
Jessie Laverne Driver, 85, of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Quality Health Care in Lebanon, Tennessee. The Allen County, Kentucky native was born Wednesday, February 5, 1919, a daughter of the late Burford Wilson Driver and Lizzie Stinson Driver. She was a homemaker, a member of White Oak Church of Christ, and wife of the late Blon Johnson Driver, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1981.

William Fay Dulworth
William Fay Dulworth, age 85, of Celina, TN, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004 at Cumberland River Hospital.

James E. Green, Sr.
James E. Green, Sr., age 52, of Bethpage, passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004.

Alphus Earl Keen
Alphus Earl Keen, 81, of the Rocky Mound Community, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Compre-hensive Care Center in Hartsville, Tennessee. The Allen County, Kentucky native was born Tuesday, April 3, 1923, a son of the late Marvin Lee Keen and Fonzie Mae McGuffee Keen. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II, a member of Trammel Lodge #436 F.& A.M., a member of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church since 1947, where he has served as a deacon since 1956, a treasurer and assistant treasurer from 1956 to 1995, and was a retired employee of General Electric in Hendersonville, Tennessee. On November 16, 1946, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Louise Meador Keen.

Ethel McFerrin
Ethel McFerrin, 78, of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tennessee. The Louisiana native was born Wednesday, October 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Willis J. Duhon and Olivia M. Miller Duhon. She was a homemaker and member of Lafayette United Methodist Church. On March 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to George McFerrin, Sr.

Edward C. Nixon
Edward C. Nixon, age 76, of Covington, GA, formerly of Macon County, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 in Covington, GA. The body was cremated and burial will follow at a later date in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Hubert Franklin Tuck
Funeral services for Hubert Franklin Tuck, age 66, of 730 Wilder Lane, Red Boiling Springs, TN were conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Pallbearers were Mark Evans, Allen Blake, Billy Estep, Lawerence Sanders, Joe Hill, Jake Tuck. Interment was in the Whitley Cemetery.

Lester Porter Tuck
Funeral services for Lester Porter Tuck, age 89, of Lafayette, TN, were conducted Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN with Elders Jerry Gammon and Jeff Blackwell officiating. Honorary pallbearers were his great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as active pallbearers. Interment followed in Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Beatrice White
Beatrice White, 86, a resident of Knollwood Manor in Lafayette, TN, and formerly of the Highland Community, passed away Monday, September 27, 2004 at Knollwood Manor. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Tuesday, April 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Luther Holland and Myrtie Scott Holland. She was a retired inspector for Trousdale Manufacturing Company and a member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. On September 17, 1936 she was united in marriage to George William White, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1995.

Oma J. Whited
Oma J. "Susie" Whited, 87, of Lafayette, Tennessee, and formerly of Bethpage, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tennessee. The Sumner County, Tennessee native was born Monday, October 9, 1916, a daughter of the late Sam Escue and Martha Carter Escue. She was a homemaker and member of Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church. On June 26, 1934 she was united in marriage to James Whited, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1996.

Virginia Lee Troutt
Virginia Lee Troutt, age 73, of Westmoreland, passed away August 9, 2004. Visitation with the family was from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Services were held at the Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Johnny Carver officiating. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery.
Virginia Lee Troutt was a daughter of the late Elvin and Grace Phillips and was a member of the New Hope Church in Westmoreland.
Survivors include two sons: Ronnie (Linda) Troutt of Westmoreland and Roger Troutt of Westmoreland; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a sister: Thelma Perry of Louisville, KY.
Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home in Westmoreland was in charge of arrangements.

Roy C. Bandy
Roy C. Bandy, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Macon County, Tennessee native was born March 24, 1910, a son of the late Robert Bandy and Canzada Bandy, a United States Navy Veteran of World War II,, a retired supervisor for Uni-Royal Rubber, where he worked for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Willie Bandy.
Graveside services for Roy C. Bandy were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2004 at Haysville Cemetery with Eld.
G. W. Knight officiating.
Alexander-Goad Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rosie York Bryant
Rosie York Bryant, 65, of Tompkinsville, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, at the Monroe Co. Medical Center in Tompkinsville. She was born in Ohio Co., KY on August 19, 1938, to the late Quinten Duncan and Ora Mae Bratcher Duncan. She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker. She was first married to Ernest B. York, the father of the children, then to Lowell Bryant.
She is survived by her husband: Lowell Bryant of Edmonton, KY; one son: Johnny York of Tompkinsville, KY; four daughters: Wilma Ammons of Knoxville, TN, Sheila Howard of Bowling Green, KY, Brenda Jessie of Glasgow, KY, and Patsy Osgatharp of Lafayette, TN; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Rex Duncan, James Duncan, & Ernie, all of Ohio, KY; 4 sisters: Dorothy Whitler, Mary Jo Crawford, Alice Willoughby, & Lwanda Whitler, all of Ohio Co., KY. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul York.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Bro. Donnie Jessie officiated. Burial was at the Rocky Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Heath Hagan, Brian York, Daniel York, Jamie Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Seth Graves.

Sarah Jane Cassetty
Funeral services for Sarah Jane Cassetty, age 55, of Red Boiling Springs, TN were conducted Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Her pallbearers were George McCrary, Rick Shoulders, Josh Shoulders, Lee Tenut, Steve Parrish, and Michael Slate. Interment was in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
Sarah Jane passed away Sunday morning, August 8, 2004 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn Canter Cassetty. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: sister, Carolyn (Dennis) Ponder, Westmoreland, brother, Barry (Sheila) Cassetty, Nashville, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
