Billy Land Jr., 60, passed away April 8 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted April 11 at the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Easterwood and Rev. Lloyd Bone officiating. Interment will follow in the Shipley Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Randy Richards, Terry Land, Dustin Roberts, Doc Lee, John Stephens and Glen Allison.
Honorary pallbearers included: grandchildren.
Billy Land Jr. was born Jan. 22, 1947 in Hamilton County. He was a U.S. Post Master with U.S. Postal Service, of Baptist Faith and Associate Pastor at Union Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include wife, Diana Land of Cookeville; sons, William Alex Land of Cookeville and Gary Wilmoth of Livingston; daughters, Stephanie Land Roberts of Cookeville and Regina Wiggins of Cookeville; brothers, Terry Land of Bakewell, Mike Land of Graysville and Mark Land of Hixson; grandchildren, Dustin and Alyson Roberts, Peyton and Kendall Land and Benjamin Wiggins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Margaret Brewer Land.

Harlin McCoy Benson, 73, passed away June 13 at his residence in Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services were conducted June 16 at Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Interment followed in the Copeland Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: R.D. Stout, Darren Stout, Wesley Stout, Alan Turner, Donald Turner and James Bilbrey.
Harlin McCoy Benson was born Dec. 31, 1933 in Overton County. He was a dispatcher for a trucking business.
Surviving relatives include wife, Mary Katherin Long Benson of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Linda and husband Allen Turner, Debbie and husband Donald Manifold and Teresa Roberts and grandchildren, Matthew Roberts, Macy Manifold and Micah Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlin and Alma Maggie Wood Benson.

Ruby B. Taylor, 86, passed away June 13 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted June 15 at Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Buck officiating. Interment followed in the Keen Cemetery.
Ruby B. Taylor was born Jan. 11, 1921 in Clay County. She was a personal sitter and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include nephew, Odus Johnson of Livingston and niece, Linda Darnell of Cookeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flutie and Ethel Susie Burchett Holman and sisters, Ruth Johnson and Opal Reels.

Lonza Harrison Stover, 83, passed away June 13 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted June 16 at Speck Funeral Home with Dr. Lyle Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers included Ronnie Gunnels, Rick Gunnels, Lonnie Stover, Larry Stover, Jerry Stover and Tim Corrick.
Lonza Harrison Stover was born Oct. 20, 1923 in Overton County. He was a mill wright, a life member of V.F.W. and veteran of U.S. Navy.
Surviving relatives include sons, Lonza V. Stover of St. Petersburg, F.L. and Larry Stover of Livingston; daughters, Paula and husband Tim Corrick of Akron, O.H., Patsy and husband Joseph Shamholtz of Petersburg, W.V. and Portia Stover of Akron, O.H.; brothers, Joe Stover of Barberton, O.H. and Kenneth Stover of Stow, O.H.; sisters, Aletha Gunnels of Livingston and Amelia Hanana of Marion, O.H.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Virgil and Nova Ethel Sells Stover; sister, Oleeta Smith and brothers, Ronald Stover, Malcolm Stover and Edward Stover.

Jerry Harris McCormick was born July 24, 1943 in Overton County. He was an auto factory worker.
Surviving relatives include wife Joan McCormick of Dunlap; son, Jerry McCormick of Columbus, OH.; daughters, Melissa Hernandez and Patricia Kiner both of Columbus, OH and Peggy Woronec of Lambertville, MI.; sister, Mary Foster of Allons and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Orpha Myrtle Todd McCormick and brothers, Ward, Robert and Ray McCormick.

Lillian Anne Stumpf, 72, of Rickman passed away June 10 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Lillian Anne Stumpf sang with Mastersingers and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville.
Surviving relatives include her children, Skeeter Flowers and Binney Stumpf of Overton County, Daniel M. O達rien of Libertyville, IL and Chip O達rien of Silverton, OR; sisters, Carol Bentley and Arlene Earley; grandchildren, Kristen and Kelsey O達rien, Francis J. O達rien IV and Zachary D. O達rien.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank J. O達rien Jr and Thomas J. Stumpf.

Emily Maxwell was born March 27, 1906 in Overton County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hilham Church of Christ.
Surviving relatives include stepdaughter-in-law, Elena Maxwell; nephews, James Hicks and Jack Pigg; nieces, Louise Warren, Joyce Ramsey and Imogene Webb; eight stepgrandchildren, five stepgreat grandchildren and three stepgreat great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Jane Smith Pigg and Noah Webster Pigg; husband, Burr Maxwell; brothers, J.B. Pigg and Resa Carmack and sisters, Ruth Pigg and Rosa Hicks.

John Frank Dotson, Jr. was born Oct. 31, 1946 of Hazzard, KY. He was a diesel mechanic.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Rhonda Jane and husband Danny Nelson, Rickman; sons, Jeff Dotson of Monroe, Owen Frank Dotson of Cookeville and Kevin Jay Dotson of Gainesboro; sisters, Carol Ostander, Wanda Mitchell, Trula Dotson and Angie Harris all of Michigan and Cindy Suddeth of Minnesota; brothers, Estelle and Joseph Dotson both of Florida and Burl Dotson; five grandchildren and several other family and friends.
