Robert Earl Gentry, Sr.

Robert Earl Gentry, Sr., 65, of Nashville passed away June 20 at the Metro General Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were conducted June 23 at Cubb Creek Cemetery. Interment followed in the Cubb Creek Cemetery.
Robert Earl Gentry, Sr. was born Aug. 21, 1941. He was a roofing and siding contractor and of the Protestant faith.
Surviving relatives include son, Robert Earl Gentry, Jr. of Nashville; stepfather, Roy Graham of Hendersonville and brother, Jimmy Gordon Gentry of Baton Rouge, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Wesley Gentry and Jo Ann Carnahan Graham.

Willie B. Bill Edmonds
Willie B. Bill Edmonds, 77, passed away June 21 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted June 23 at Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Reed officiating. Interment followed in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Fred Spicer, Stacy Dickerson, Buddy Reed, Daniel Bowman, Kevin Keller, Jimmy Edmonds, Vernon Dickerson and Scott Ray.
Honorary pallbearers included: Bud Swallows, Phillip Sullivan, Jim Manis, Carlon Loftis, Kevin Loftis, Dewayne Loftis, Mike Moody, Terry Moody, Ronald Dodson, Randall Dodson, Brian Gentry and Kenny Walker.
Willie B. Bill Edmonds was born Jan. 6, 1930 in Overton County. He was the owner of Edmonds Paving Company.
Surviving relatives include wife, Bonnie Davis Edmonds of Hardy’s Chapel community; daughters, Julene and husband Hugh Lee Dickerson, Joann and husband Buddy Reed and Linda Dickerson all of Hardy’s Chapel; six grandchildren; 12 great grand children; sisters, Bonnie Moody of Hardy’s Chapel, Maybell and husband Jim Manis of Cookeville and Willene and husband Bob Kirby of Livingston; brother, Jimmy Edmonds; 10 nieces and nephews and special friends, Phillips Sullivan, Bud Swallows and a host of friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beulah Lee Edmonds; daughter, Carolyn June Edmonds; grandson, Josh Dickerson; sister, Beatrice Stroub and brother, Arnold C. Edmonds.

Johnny Lee Nelson
Johnny Lee Nelson, 55, passed away June 23 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted June 26 at Hall Funeral Home in Rickman with Bro. Earl Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Crawford Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Donnie Breeding, Billy Breeding, Jimmy Dickerson, Jimmy Reed, Norman Ferrell, Carl Hill, Roger Shelton and Raliegh Thompson.
Johnny Lee Nelson was born Oct. 26, 1951 in Overton County.
Surviving relatives include wife, Virginia Nelson of Hardy’s Chapel; son, Johnny Ray Nelson of Hardy’s Chapel; sisters, Pearl Breeding, Carolyn Thompson, Mary Sue Dixon all of Hardy’s Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brownie and Hariett Edith Hooks Nelson; brothers, Junior, Jimmy and Donnie Nelson and sisters, Agnes Nelson and Corenia Nelson.

Mary Kathleen Lawson
Mary Kathleen Lawson, 46, passed away June 13 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted June 18 at Hall Funeral Home in Rickman with Bro. Bud Hargis officiating. Interment followed in the Lawson Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Jeremy Blevins, Adam Blevins, Mark Blevins, John R. Lawson III, Steve Brown, T.J. Smith, Casey Blythe and Donald Edmonds.
Mary Kathleen Lawson was born May 26, 1961 in Lebanon, Ohio.
Surviving relatives include son, John Lawson, III; daughters, Bertha and husband Scott Murphy of Gainesboro, Lois and husband Nicholas Rameriez of Gainesboro, Amber and husband Brian Smith of Mississippi, Amanda Lawson of Gainesboro and Sandy Lawson of Louisiana; sisters, Linda Key and Emma Brown both of Celina, Fran Helton of Florida, Else Masters of Hardy’s Chapel and Laura Brown of Gainesboro; brother, Steve Brown of Ohio and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Palo and Lois Nichols Brown; husband, John Ray Lawson, Jr. and brothers, Paul Brown and Billy Brown.

Rebecca Jean Garrett Matthews
Rebecca Jean Garrett Matthews, 79, passed away July 23 in Anderson, IN. Funeral services were conducted July 27 at Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Interment followed in the Okalona Cemetery.
Rebecca Jean Garrett Matthews was born Sept. 6, 1927 in Pickett County. She was a homemaker and a hospital volunteer for 40 years.
Surviving relatives include sons, Gary and wife Camille Matthews of Oaklandon, IN. and Alan and wife Debbie Matthews of Indianapolis, IN.; daughter, Pamela and husband Mark Naughton of Tulsa, OK.; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren and sister, Brenda Jean and husband Harold Stockton of Livingston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenard Matthews; parents, Emery and Jesse Riley Garrett and brothers, Bill and Lester Garrett.

Donald W. Williams

Donald W. Williams, 57, passed away July 22 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted July 26 at Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Ledbetter officiating. Interment followed in the Williams Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Robert, Billy and Dawn Williams, Don and Richard Palmer and Michelle Ryan.
Donald W. Williams was born Nov. 9, 1949 in Peoria, IL. He was a manager of a RV rental business and a member of Unity Church in Tucker, GA.
Surviving relatives include father, I.W. Williams of Livingston; brother, Robert Williams, Lincoln, R.I.; uncle, Billy Williams of Livingston; nieces, Michelle Ryan of Germantown, MA. and Dawn Williams of Providence, R.I. and eight cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Elizabeth Stealey Williams.

Shirley Reagan
Shirley Reagan, 58, passed away July 25 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted July 27 at Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Hoover Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Gary Reagan, Joey Reagan, Tyler Reagan, Bobby Reagan, Dustin Winningham, Jeff Smith, Jake Smith and Derrick Poston.
Shirley Reagan was born Jan. 11, 1949 in Overton County. He was a roofer, carpenter and an associate pastor at Standing Stone Praise and Worship Center.
Surviving relatives include wife, Ruth Buck Reagan; sons, Chris and wife Mindy Reagan of Livingston and Timmy Reagan of Tiptonville; daughter, Jennifer and husband Jason Dillon of Rickman; grandchildren, Haley Reagan, Brooklyn Reagan and Conner Dillon; brothers, James Reagan and Gary Reagan both of Monroe and Bobby Reagan of Livingston and sisters, Carolyn Sue Thompson of Livingston, Linda Joan Carter of Cookeville, Kay Reagan and Billie Poston both of Monroe, Shelia Winningham of Byrdstown and Lessia Smith of Allons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Farley and Myrtle Taylor Reagan.

Mitzi Regina Seber
Mitzi Regina Seber, 38, passed away July 26 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted July 28 at Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Terry McCloud. Interment followed in the Hunter Cove Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Dale Hargis, Andy Gray, Mark Barnett, Adam Hill, Jonathan Stevens and Gary Seber.
Mitzi Regina Seber was born May 28, 1969 in Cookeville.
Surviving relatives include husband, Bobby Seber; daughters, Emily Brook Thrasher, Ashley Nichole Thrasher and Tori Gray all of Livingston and Natasha Rose Lee of Rickman; parents, Billy and Rosa Nell Gray; brother, Stanley Gray and sister, Michelle Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Garlon and Ruth Clark and Hershel Gray and grandfather-in-law, Arvis Seber.

Richard Norrod

Richard Norrod, 60, of Murfreesboro passed away July 27 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Funeral services were conducted July 30 at Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Billy Joe Hedgecough officiating. Interment followed in the George M. Phillips Cemetery in Hanging Limb.
Richard Norrod was born April 25, 1947 in Hanging Limb. He was retired from Nissan, attended the Middle Tennessee Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Hanging Limb and an Army Veteran.
Surviving relatives include father, Barton Norrod of Hanging Limb; wife, Sharon Norrod of Murfreesboro; daughter, Cynthia and husband Greg Taylor of Cookeville; sons, Rick and wife Sabrina Eitelman of Kokomo, IN. and Sean Norrod of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Tyler and Korey Eitelman and Mason and Madison Taylor and sisters, Sue Norrod of Hanging Limb and Sherry Gunter of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Bowman Norrod.
