William Horace Dickerson, 85, passed away March 17 [2008] at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held March 20 from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Brother Donald Cobb officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers included: John Mutz, Lance Ruble, Steve Shane, Joey and Brad Mosley.
William Horace Dickerson was born Aug. 13, 1922 in Overton County. He was a Veteran, a Chrysler worker, a barber, a member of First Baptist Church, a former Lions Club member and a member of Acasia Masonic Lodge in Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Essie Maxwell Dickerson.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Johnnye Warden Dickerson of Livingston; sisters, Marie Stinson of Akron, OH., Joyce and husband Frank Mutz of Manassa, VA.; brother, Kenneth Dickerson of Livingston; nieces, Linda and husband David Stokley of Akron, OH., Maria and husband Don Latham of Virginia, Theresa Dickerson of Ohio; nephews, Mike Dickerson of Ohio, John and wife Amy Mutz of Indiana; sister in law, Geneva and husband Charles Burris and a special little girl that lives next door, Beth Hasey.

Vonda Myrtle Roberts

Vonda Myrtle Roberts, 88, passed away March 27 [2008] at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held March 29 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. James Hunter and Bro. A.J. Looper officiating. Interment followed in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Houston and Beau Whitfield, Andrew Barry, Keith Smith, Jim Deck and Ben Gilpatrick.
Honorary pallbearers included: Luther Gene Coffee, Donald Dale, Dale and Jeremy Mars, Billy Neal Carmack, R.L. Ogletree, Kenneth Hunter, Ray Lunsford, Dr. W.G. Quarles, Dr. Truman Smith, Wayne Hancock, Ed Gilpatrick, Rev. Newsome Harvey, Lois Bybee, Ruth Dailey, Amanda Cox and employees of CareAll Quality Home Health.
Vonda Myrtle Roberts was born April 25, 1919 in Overton County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Beulah Hawkins Ogletree; husband, James Alexander Roberts and brother, Cecil Ogletree.
Surviving relatives include: son, Jim and wife Barbie Roberts of Crawford; daughters, Linda and husband Houston Whitfield of Florida, Judy and husband Keith Smith of Livingston; grandchildren, Heather and husband Andrew Barry, Beau and wife Crystal Whitfield, Jimmy and wife Michelle Roberts, Rachel Anne Roberts, Ashley and husband Michael Lawson; great grandchildren, Colin Alexander Barry, Abilgail and Audrey Lawson; special friend, Hazel Webb.

Manda Jane Janie Savage

Manda Jane Janie Savage, 94, passed away March 27 [2008] at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held March 29 at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Interment followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Mike and Kyle Copeland, Richard and Colby Boykin, Mike Savage and Dewayne Bilbrey.
Manda Jane Janie Savage was born Jan. 2, 1914 in Overton County. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ, a factory worker, nanny and housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Effie Carmack Swan; husband, Lester Hubert Savage; son, Carl Ray Savage and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Mary Ruth and husband Ray Reeser of West Memphis, AR.; brother, Elmo Swan of Hartsville; grandchildren, Janice Murphree of West Memphis, AR., Rita Copeland of Monroe, Jimmy Reeser of Memphis, Mike Savage of Livingston and Regina Boykin of Rickman; close family friend, Joyce Bilbrey of Livingston; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Atwel D. Bilbrey
Atwel D. Bilbrey, 98, passed away March 28 [2008] at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held March 31 from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Wilson and Bro. Craig Green officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers included: Willie H. Bilbrey, Jackie Kirby, Carmen Bilbrey, Jerry Bilbrey, Billy Bilbrey, Randall Bilbrey, Dewey Bilbrey and William Carvel Bilbrey.
Atwel D. Bilbrey was born Sept. 2, 1909 in Overton County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Susie Robbins Bilbrey.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Judy and husband Jerry Norrod of Livingston; brother, Raymond Bilbrey of Cookeville; granddaughters, Jennifer and husband Larry Taylor of Cleveland, Amy Jo and husband Bruce Fletcher of Livingston; great grandsons, Logan Taylor, Micah and Bryson Fletcher.

Teresa Jean Abbott
Teresa Jean Abbott, 41, of Livingston passed away on April 25 [2008] at her Mother’s residence. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Bro. Jimmy Buck. Interment followed in the Fredonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Travis Staggs, Donnie Staggs, Bobby Smith, Daniel Scantland, Wesley Scantland and Justin Scantland.
Teresa Jean Abbott was born on June 3, 1966 in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by father in law, Jack T. Abbott.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Ricky Abbott of Livingston; sons, Travis Staggs of Rickman and Donnie Wayne Staggs of Livingston; daughter, Heather Gentry of Hilham; mother, Pauline and husband W.J. Staggs of Livingston; father, Bobby and wife Irene Smith of Monroe; sisters, Ann Stover of Rickman and Connie Scantland of Livingston; brothers, Bobby Smith Jr. and Jeff Staggs both of Livingston; mother in law, Betty Jane Abbott of Livingston; two grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

James Phillip Boles

James Phillip Boles, 49, of Nashville passed away on April 15 [2008] at Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas Hospital. Funeral services were held at Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed at Turkeytown Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Brandon Boles, Mark Hunley, Jesse Boles, Bobby Gene Lee, Danny Lee, Timmy Boles, Jackie Doles, Jimmy Boles and Ralph Boles.
James Phillip Boles was born on Aug. 27, 1958. He was a deck hand on a barge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Guy Edwards and Alfie Lizzie Boles.
Surviving relatives include sisters, Evelyn Jennie Hunley of Cookeville and Kathy Crouch of Indiana; brothers, Leo and wife Brenda Boles of Nashville and Ricky and wife Rose Boles of Livingston; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Clara Ann Smith Hunter
Clara Ann Smith Hunter, 78, of Tallahassee, FL. passed away April 2 [2008] at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Smith and husband Donald L. Hunter.
Surviving relatives include: sons, Donnie and wife Wanda Hunter of Tallahassee, FL., Steve and wife Melissa Hunter of Crawfordville, FL., Jim Hunter of Tallahassee, FL., Mike and Clara Hunter of Crawfordville, FL., Sam and wife Michelle Hunter of Tallahassee, FL.; daughters, Diane and husband Ronnie Hartsfield, Lisa Brandon all of Tallahassee, FL.; brothers, Walter Smith, Vernon L. Smith, Franklin D. Smith, Bruce Smith and Talmagh Gene Smith all of Overton County; sisters, Ruby Lee Maynard and Virginia Harlow both of Overton County; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Debbie Flesher, 48, of Muddy Pond, passed away on April 28 [2008] at her residence. Funeral services were held May 2 from the Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.
Debbie Flesher was born on June 6, 1959 in Anderson, IN. She was a factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Baxter Wilson and son, Jesse Foley.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Vauda Jones Wilson of Muddy Pond; daughter, Yulanda and husband Greg Walker of Pall Mall; son, Lee and wife Michelle Foley of Jamestown; sister, Donna Wilson of Clarkrange; brother, Danny Wilson of Anderson, IN. and grandchildren, Isaiah York, Austin Walker, Ethan and Wyatt Hawks, Mallory and Makeely McWhorter.

Willard Mansell, 56, of Livingston, passed away April 29 [2008] at Livingston Regional Hospital. A memorial service was held on May 3 at his residence.
Willard Mansell was born on Sept. 29, 1951 in Overton County. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Bertie Dickson Mansell.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Patti Mansell of Livingston; son, Steven Mansell of Kentucky; daughters, Amy Burchett of Kentucky and Angie Brasier of Indiana; brother, John Mansell of Livingston; sisters, Willo Dene Hill of Texas, Carolyn Rose of Indiana and Rita Snelling of Indiana; 10 grandchildren and special nieces and nephews, Johnny, Jeremy, Josh and Marcia Mansell.
