She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Martha Evelyn Ethridge Benson; husband, Cecil Mainord; sister, Stella Mae Johnson and brothers, Virgil, Horace, Jay, Gilbert, Johnny, Ernest, Milburn and Ted Benson.
Surviving relatives include: sons, Billy and wife Debbie Mainord of Mt. Juliet and Donald Mainord of Nashville; daughter, Margaret Mainord of Antioch; sister, Berella Swallows of Cookeville; sisters in law, Alma Benson of Cookeville and Doris Carr of Jacksonville, FL.; brother in law, Mitchell Mainord of Cookeville; grandchildren, Scott, Jessica and Justin and wife Kelly and great grandchildren, Jason, Brooklyn and Dixie.

Odell Haney Jared, 88, of Cookeville passed away May 31 [2008] at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held June 2 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Sebastian officiating. Interment followed in Browns Mill Cemetery.
Odell Haney Jared was born March 11, 1920 in Putnam Co. She was retired from Idea Cleaners after 30 years and was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Newman Haney and Nannie Lou Cumby; husband, Albert J. Jared; son, David Paul Jared; granddaughter, Michelle Wassom and brothers, Charlie and Clyde Haney.
Surviving relatives include: daughters, Ann and husband Roy Randolph of Livingston and Nancy and husband Randall Whiteaker of Algood; sons, Eddie and wife Linda Jared of Sparta, Robert G. and wife Nancy Jared of Cookeville, Wayne and wife Sandra Jared of Smithville and Michael Jared of Cookeville; sister, Ora Lee Whiteaker of Algood; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

J.D. Cantrell, 56, of Livingston passed away July 7 [2008] at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held July 9 at Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Ovle Tinch officiating. Interment followed in the Okalona Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Jerry Garrett, Joe Garrett, Tommy Paul, Mike Cantrell, Mark Cantrell, and Jim Bo Melton.

J.D. Cantrell was born Oct. 12, 1951 in Overton County. He was a mechanic and was affiliated with the First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilbert and Hessie Hammock Cantrell.
Surviving relatives included: wife, Gail Robbins Cantrell of Livingston; daughters, Jennifer Ruble of Nashville; sons, Joey and Jason Cantrell of Livingston; sister, Cornelia Linder of Livingston; brothers, Jewell Cantrell of Allons and J.C. Verla Elizabeth Gentry was born Dec. 13, 1922 in Pickett County. She was a seamstress at Cherokee Furniture and attended Midway Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Trammel and Ida Smith Hinds; husband, Willie Dawson and son, Ronnie Dawson.
