Annie L. Taylor, 96, of Livingston passed away July 14 [2008] at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held July 17 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Interment followed in the Good Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Shawn Maynord, Travis Maynord, Josh Ledbetter, Steve Ledbetter, Terry Allen and Johnny Vaughn.
Annie L. Taylor was born Oct. 19, 1911 in Overton County. She owned and operated Bush’s Radio Shop and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burr and Lou Alfa Lewis Ledbetter; husband, C.B. Bush Taylor; son, James Edward Taylor and great nephews, Danny Allen and Andrew Bilbrey.
Surviving relatives include: brother in law, Frank Bilbrey of Livingston; nephews, Carl and wife Reba Bilbrey, McCoy and wife Betty Ledbetter all of Livingston and Steve Ledbetter of Maryville; nieces, Carla and husband Tim Hall of Indiana, Anna Ve Reed, Ardie Ray Ledbetter and Adison Ledbetter all of Pennsylvania; great nieces, Jamie Gibbons of Livingston and Debra Maynard of Loudon and great nephew, Terry Allen of Cookeville.

Carey Harlan Carlock, 97, of Livingston passed away July 15 [2008] at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held July 17 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Halliburton and Ken Castleman officiating. Interment followed in the Good Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Gerald Maynard, L.G. Puckett, III, Dan Smith, Henry Starnes, John West and Charles Maynord.
Honorary Pallbearers included: Men’s Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.
Carey Harlan Carlock was born July 19, 1910 in Overton County. He was a manager for Jenkins and Darwin Dry Goods Store and was an active member and a Sunday School teacher at the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ward and Minnie Ellen Neely Carlock; brothers, Charles Carlock, John Douglas Carlock and Ward Reeves Carlock.
Surviving relatives include: son, Jim Carlock of Cupertino, CA.; daughter, Linda Denton of Louisville, KY.; sisters, Edith Freeman of Algood; grandchildren, Brandon Denton and Mandi Hunt and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe May and Janie Mae Ledbetter; sister, Lyda Grace Speck and brother, Othel Herron Speck.

James Gilbert Gib Hill was born July 6, 1941 in Overton County. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retired vending supervisor with Tennessee Tech University and a member of Fairview Church of Christ.

Anna Jean Phillips was born March 18, 1936 in Overton County. She was owner of the Phillips Grocery in the Mineral Springs Community. She and her husband also operated Joseph’s Store House for low-income families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Biddie Phillips Looper; sister, Bertha Key; brother, Arthur Looper.
Surviving relatives include: husband, Everett Phillips of Monterey; son, Wayne and wife Melissa Philips of Clarkrange; daughter, Connie and husband Clifton Bishop of Monterey; brothers, A.J.
