BREWER, DONNA MCGINNIS, 49, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away Friday, November 20, 1998 in Atlanta. She was a member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Homer Lynn Brewer of Atlanta; parents, Bill and Jean McGinnis; brother, David McGinnis and wife Sherry; two nephews, all of Morristown; and a special friend, Allison Caldwell. Funeral services will be 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday in Jarnigan Cemetery. BARR, LULA, age 77, of 2521 May Rd. Talbott, TN. passed away Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred L. Barr in Feb. 1998. She was a native of Olinger, Va. CARTER, CLIFFORD, M., age 83, of 274 St. Johns Road, Morristown, passed away at his residence November 20, 1998. He was a member of Alpha Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. Survivors include: wife, Fannie B. Carter, Morristown; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Peggy Carter, Morristown, Doyle and Cecilia Carter, Morristown; three grandchildren, Larry Carter II, Maryville, Natalie Carter, Nova Scotia, Canada, Brent Rorie, Morristown; two great grand-children, Lauren Carter and Andrew Carter, Maryville; sister, Odessa Miller, Jefferson City; brothers, Irvin Carter, New Market, Carl Carter, Maryville, California. JARNIGAN, CURTIS EDGALEE (BUDDY), 63, of 4063 Teri St., Morristown, born August 4, 1935, passed away on November 19 at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville. He was a faithful member of Kidwell’s Ridge Baptist Church, serving as Trustee for 19 years. He was a charter member of W.HCVFD, where he served as Chief for several years, as well as numerous other offices. He was employed by Lea Industries for 18 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ollie Jarnigan; and brothers, Dean and Beby James. He is survived by wife, Bonnie (Evans) Jarnigan; daughter and son-in-law, David and Tammy Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Amy (Cope) Jarnigan; granddaughters, Jennifer and Julie Watson, all of Morristown; sisters, Mrs. Ray (Flossie) Horton of White Pine, Mrs. Herbert (Marzilla) McAmis of Mosheim, Betty White, Mrs. Charlie (Benny) Simmons, Mrs. Hal (Janice) Fox, Morristown, Mrs. Bill (Blanche) Russell of Whitesburg; brothers, Sammy Jarnigan, Jackie Jarnigan, both of Russellville, Willie Jarnigan of Morristown; sister-in-law, Gloria Jarnigan of Morristown, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Seay owned and operated Seay’s Apartments in Whitesburg and was a member of Speedwell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janie Dean Seay; four sisters and three brothers.
