SMITH, HAZEL G., age 82, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Jefferson City Rehabilitation Health Care Center. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. THOMAS, LILLIE RAY ROBERTS, age 77, of Royal Care Nursing Home of Pigeon Forge, formerly of Rutledge, TN. passed away Friday morning November 20, 1998 following a long illness. She was a member of the Helton Springs Baptist Church and was retired from the Rutledge Hosiery Mill. She was the daughter of the late John Butler and Nellie Edmonds Roberts and was preceded in death by brothers, Jake and Kenneth Roberts and sister, Marjorie Roberts Owens. Survivors: husband, Pershing Thomas; daughter, Emogene Couch of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters, April and Crystal Couch; sisters, Louise Myers of Townsend, Bertha Hopper, Ruby Floyd and Monnie McElhaney all of Rutledge; brother, J.W. WARNER, EARL HADEN, 64, of Meadowview Lane, Morristown, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson City, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Security Guard at universal Furniture, and a singer with The Happy Travelers Quartet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jodie Warner; brothers, Jack and Gary Warner; sister, Ruth Harrell. He is survived by two sons, Steve Warner of the home, Bill (Melissa) Warner of Bulls Gap; three grandchildren, Daniel Warner, Chelsey Warner and Dustin Collier; four sisters, Betty Green, Velma Lamb and Loretta Story, all of Bulls Gap, and Judy Warner of Knoxville; four brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, W.H. and Guy Warner all of Bulls Gap. Several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Survivors include her husband, Homer Lynn Brewer of Atlanta; parents, Bill and Jean McGinnis; brother, David McGinnis and wife Sherry, all of Morristown; stepchildren, Lakiea Ensley and Brooklyn Kennedy of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Dwight and Cynthia Renee Brewer; 2 nephews; and a special friend, Allison Caldwell. Ms. Perry was retired from Standard Knitting Mill of Knoxville after 37 yrs. of service. She was preceded in death by Eugene Perry; parents, Robert and Pearl Crumpley; brother, Mirrell Crumpley. Survived by sons and wives, Donnie E. and Ann Perry of Blaine, Gail T. and Margaret Perry of Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law, Shirrell and Judy Crumpley; grandchildren, Bridget N. RIAL, J.C., age 75, of Rutledge, died Thursday morning, November 19, 1998 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Roma; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Josephine Rial of Tucson, AZ., John and Mindy Rial of Ann Harbor, Mich., and Terry and Diane Rial of Rutledge; daughter, Julie Rial of Phoenix, AZ.; grandchildren, Jessica, Laurin, Aliza, Jason, Jefferey, Johnathan and Madison; and one brother, Carl Rial of Bradford, TN.
