SMITH, HAZEL G., age 82, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Jefferson City Rehabilitation Health Care Center. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Monday at Mayes Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Carter Cemetery. Mayes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH, MARTHA D., 72, of Strawberry Plains passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 1998 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. Graveside service 1 p.m. Sunday, Westview Cem. with Rev. James Large officiating. The family received friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market. Fielden Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

THOMAS, LILLIE RAY ROBERTS, age 77, of Royal Care Nursing Home of Pigeon Forge, formerly of Rutledge, TN. passed away Friday morning November 20, 1998 following a long illness. She was a member of the Helton Springs Baptist Church and was retired from the Rutledge Hosiery Mill. She was the daughter of the late John Butler and Nellie Edmonds Roberts and was preceded in death by brothers, Jake and Kenneth Roberts and sister, Marjorie Roberts Owens. Survivors: husband, Pershing Thomas; daughter, Emogene Couch of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters, April and Crystal Couch; sisters, Louise Myers of Townsend, Bertha Hopper, Ruby Floyd and Monnie McElhaney all of Rutledge; brother, J.W. Roberts of Corryton. Funeral services, Monday 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Marvin Phillips officiating. Interment graveside services, Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Grainger Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday evening 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, 411 W. Broadway Ave., Jefferson City TN. (475-3892). Farrar Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

WARNER, EARL HADEN, 64, of Meadowview Lane, Morristown, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson City, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Security Guard at universal Furniture, and a singer with The Happy Travelers Quartet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jodie Warner; brothers, Jack and Gary Warner; sister, Ruth Harrell. He is survived by two sons, Steve Warner of the home, Bill (Melissa) Warner of Bulls Gap; three grandchildren, Daniel Warner, Chelsey Warner and Dustin Collier; four sisters, Betty Green, Velma Lamb and Loretta Story, all of Bulls Gap, and Judy Warner of Knoxville; four brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, W.H. and Guy Warner all of Bulls Gap. Several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Jimmy Dockins officiating, with interment in McCollough Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Bulls Gap. Wilson Funeral Home in Bulls Gap in charge of arrangements.

BARR, LULA, age 77, of 2521 May Rd., Talbott, passed away Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Westside Chapel with Rev. R.J. Seal officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday 7-9 p.m. at Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown. Westside Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

BREWER, DONNA MCGINNIS, 49 of Atlanta, GA., passed away Friday, November 20,1998, in Atlanta. She was a member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Homer Lynn Brewer of Atlanta; parents, Bill and Jean McGinnis; brother, David McGinnis and wife Sherry, all of Morristown; stepchildren, Lakiea Ensley and Brooklyn Kennedy of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Dwight and Cynthia Renee Brewer; 2 nephews; and a special friend, Allison Caldwell. Funeral services were 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family received friends 6:30-8:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MOSS, MRS. EDNA M., age 85, of Beth-Carr Road, White Pine, passed away at 5:17 a.m. Monday, morning, November 23, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Farrar Funeral Home, 1806 Main Street, White Pine, Tennessee, 37890, Phone (423) 674-2441.

PECK, MRS. OPHELIA, age 84, of Jefferson City, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Sunday evening, November 22, 1998 at the family home following an extended illness. PERRY, RUBY LOUISE CRUMPLEY, age 72, of Rt. 1, Rutledge, TN., 37861, passed away November 22, 1998 at her home. She was a member of Joppa Methodist Church. Ms. Perry was retired from Standard Knitting Mill of Knoxville after 37 yrs. of service. She was preceded in death by Eugene Perry; parents, Robert and Pearl Crumpley; brother, Mirrell Crumpley. Survived by sons and wives, Donnie E. and Ann Perry of Blaine, Gail T. and Margaret Perry of Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law, Shirrell and Judy Crumpley; grandchildren, Bridget N. Perry, Heidi and Tony Whaley, Bucky Perry, Jana Rines and Jody Rines; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hollis Dunsmore and Rev. Ronnie Maness officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Grainger Memorial Gardens. Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge is in charge of arrangements.

RIAL, J.C., age 75, of Rutledge, died Thursday morning, November 19, 1998 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Roma; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Josephine Rial of Tucson, AZ., John and Mindy Rial of Ann Harbor, Mich., and Terry and Diane Rial of Rutledge; daughter, Julie Rial of Phoenix, AZ.; grandchildren, Jessica, Laurin, Aliza, Jason, Jefferey, Johnathan and Madison; and one brother, Carl Rial of Bradford, TN. A private gathering will be held by the immediate family in honor of Mr. Rial. Friends may call at their convenience. Arrangements made by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.

TROSINO, SYLVIA “DARLENE,” age 36, of Knoxville, passed away November 22, 1998 at U.T. Medical Center. She was employed by Kroger Company. Survivors: husband, Danny Fields of Rutledge; mother, Clara Mae Davis of Morristown; father, Lindy Davis of Greeneville; daughters, Jennifer, Carla, Jamie and Jessica; sisters, Debbie Brown of Knoxville, Sandy Wolfe of Morristown, Brenda Lee of Morristown, Robin Lopez of Eljay, GA.; many extended family members, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mayes Mortuary with Rev. Doug Cox officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Mayes Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
