LINDSEY, F. REECE (J0JO), age 73, of Morristown, TN., and formerly of Walland, TN., died Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at UT Medical Center. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Helen Miller Lindsey; parents, J.M. and Clara Lindsey; step-mother, Mincie Haynes Lindsey; sisters, Jessie Covington, Maude Cates, and Grace McCammon; brother, James S. Lindsey. Survivors: daughter, Martha L. Stewart of Morristown, TN.; granddaughters, Stacy S. Terry and husband Scott Terry of Knoxville, TN., Beth Stewart of Morristown, TN.; brother, William Burl Lindsey of Seymour, TN.; sister-in-law, Ruby Guffey Lindsey; several nieces and nephews. ALLSUP, DORIS L. YOUNG, 67, of White Pine, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998 at E.T. Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.
CARPENTER, JOHN C. (CURT), born July 13, 1922, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 18, 1998 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He was a resident of Morristown. Curt was a faithful member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church for many years, also a local business man for many years. He owned and operated Wolfe Dairies for sixteen years and was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific four years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Clara Mustin Carpenter and brother, Glenn Carpenter. He was a loving husband and father, survived by wife, Iva Harrell Carpenter; son, Johnny Carpenter and daughter-in-law, Louise Carpenter; grandsons, John, Matthew and Kevin; great-granddaughter, Roxy; sisters: Mary Stapleton Munsey and husband, Glenn, Helen Carpenter Brock and husband, James; sister-in-law, Dorothy Carpenter. He was a second father to youngest sister, Trixie Sue and husband, Bob Clowers. A host of loving nieces and nephew; many, many devoted friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be Thursday, 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. J.B. Gulley, Dr. Sid Nichols and Rev. Carl Triplett officiating. YOUNT, IRA WILLIAM (DREW), age 68, passed away Nov. 18, 1998 at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, after a long battle with cancer. He was a Korean War Veteran; a loving husband and father and a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a member of Noeton Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jesse Yount and Jessie Jarnagin Yount; step-mother, Catherine Yount; and brother, A.J. Yount Jr. Survivors: wife of 44 years, Martha (Aileen) Atkins Yount; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A, Yount Sr. and Mary Lynn Yount of Morristown, Douglas Stewart Yount and Angela Renee Yount of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Robert A.
