LINDSEY, F. REECE (J0JO), age 73, of Morristown, TN., and formerly of Walland, TN., died Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at UT Medical Center. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Helen Miller Lindsey; parents, J.M. and Clara Lindsey; step-mother, Mincie Haynes Lindsey; sisters, Jessie Covington, Maude Cates, and Grace McCammon; brother, James S. Lindsey. Survivors: daughter, Martha L. Stewart of Morristown, TN.; granddaughters, Stacy S. Terry and husband Scott Terry of Knoxville, TN., Beth Stewart of Morristown, TN.; brother, William Burl Lindsey of Seymour, TN.; sister-in-law, Ruby Guffey Lindsey; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 2:30 p.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, for graveside service and interment. Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Atchley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

ALLSUP, DORIS L. YOUNG, 67, of White Pine, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998 at E.T. Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.

CARPENTER, JOHN C. (CURT), born July 13, 1922, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 18, 1998 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He was a resident of Morristown. Curt was a faithful member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church for many years, also a local business man for many years. He owned and operated Wolfe Dairies for sixteen years and was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific four years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Clara Mustin Carpenter and brother, Glenn Carpenter. He was a loving husband and father, survived by wife, Iva Harrell Carpenter; son, Johnny Carpenter and daughter-in-law, Louise Carpenter; grandsons, John, Matthew and Kevin; great-granddaughter, Roxy; sisters: Mary Stapleton Munsey and husband, Glenn, Helen Carpenter Brock and husband, James; sister-in-law, Dorothy Carpenter. He was a second father to youngest sister, Trixie Sue and husband, Bob Clowers. A host of loving nieces and nephew; many, many devoted friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be Thursday, 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. J.B. Gulley, Dr. Sid Nichols and Rev. Carl Triplett officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. in the Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial donations may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 3039, Morristown, TN., 37814. Westside Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

CARPENTER, B. RALPH, 61, of Mooresburg, passed away Wednesday evening in Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Stetzer Funeral Home of Morristown.

SEAY, JESSE, age 66, of Bulls Gap, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 1998, at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, 8:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. in the Speedwell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. prior to the services. JOHNSON, JAMES P., age 82, of Jefferson City, formerly of Sneedville, passed away suddenly at 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning, November 19, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. YOUNT, IRA WILLIAM (DREW), age 68, passed away Nov. 18, 1998 at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, after a long battle with cancer. He was a Korean War Veteran; a loving husband and father and a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a member of Noeton Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jesse Yount and Jessie Jarnagin Yount; step-mother, Catherine Yount; and brother, A.J. Yount Jr. Survivors: wife of 44 years, Martha (Aileen) Atkins Yount; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A, Yount Sr. and Mary Lynn Yount of Morristown, Douglas Stewart Yount and Angela Renee Yount of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Robert A. Yount Jr. and Ashley Michelle Yount of Morristown, Maratha Marie Yount of Jefferson City, and Andy Moore of Kodak; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Lee Street of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Noeton Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. John Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Westside Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

BAKER, MR. AND MRS. LESLIE, of Inverness, Fla., died in Spartanburg, S.C., Monday as a result of an auto accident. Mrs. Baker is the former Charlcie Solomon of Bulls Gap. She had relatives and friends in this area. Funeral services Saturday at Evergreen Funeral Home, Louisville, Ky. Evergreen Funeral Home in charge.

BUELL, PAUL EWING, age 24, of Morristown, passed away as the result of an accident in Bean Station. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Ruth Maratellos. Survivors: parents, Steve and Freda Corbett and Anthony Maratellos; sisters, Krystal and Tammy Jarnigan; brother, Dewayne Stewart; grandparents, Ewing (Doc) and Dorthy Buell, Carl and Lillian Corbett; nephew, Beby Jarnigan; special love, Lee Ann Null and son, Derek; several special aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Friday at Stubblefield Chapel, Morristown, with Rev. Eugene White and Rev, Dale Brooks officiating. Interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown. Stubblefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

JINKS, SAM, of Mooresburg, born December 12, 1913, passed away September 15, 1998 in Morristown. He was a farmer and member of Spruce Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Spruce Pine Grove Baptist Church, Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Stubblefield Funeral Home, Mooresburg in charge of arrangements.

GIVENS, EARL J., age 71, of Sneedville, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 1998 at the Laurel Manor Nursing Home in New Tazewell. He was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Leona Givens; sisters, Ruth Jones and Madeline Smith. He was saved at an early age. Survivors: sons and daughters, Bobby, Jennie, Patty, Joanna, Earlene, Susan and BeBe, all of Maryland; brothers, Carlos Givens of Knoxville, Lon D. Givens of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday at the McNeil Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Ray Cope officiating. Interment in the Harrison Burke Cemetery. NEASE, MR. AUBREY FRED, of Parrottsville, Tennessee, born June 4, 1916 in Greene County, passed away September 15, 1998 in Greene County. He was retired from American Enka, retired dairy farmer. Services will be held at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 1998, Interment in the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday evening. Costner-Maloy Funeral Home in charge.
