WORKMAN, MOLLIE B., 86, of Mascot, passed away Sunday, September 13, 1998 at Ft. Sanders Medical Center. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday at Fielden Chapel with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Interment in Caledonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market. Fielden Funeral Home in charge.

RAINES, XEN (RED), age 74, of the Solway Community, passed away Monday, September 14, 1998 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge after a lengthy illness. He was the owner of Solway Exxon. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Owena Raines; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Ray and W.W. Jones. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Howard Leffew of Solway, Susan and Kerry Burleson of Johnson City; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Arlene, Ray and Janie, Donald and Donna, DeWayne and Angela, all of Knoxville, Phil and Linda of Morristown; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; niece, Joanna Jones; nephew, Claude Jones. Family and friends will assemble 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m., graveside and interment service with Rev. Mickey Leffew officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Methodist Regional Cancer Center, care of Methodist Medical Center Foundation, 990 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN. 37830. Friends may call at their convenience at the home of Yvonne Leffew or Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel, 6200 Kingston Pike. Rose Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

NELSON, CARROLL A., age 83, of White Pine, passed away Monday evening, September 14, 1998 at the Jefferson Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a retired electrician and was a member of the J.B.E.W. Preceded in death by wife, Jean Huffaker Nelson, Mrs. Bertha Nelson Stuart, aunt, and parents, John B. and Pauline Arnold Nelson. Survivors: sons, Stuart Nelson of White Pine, James Nelson of Chuckey, TN.; grandchildren, John Nelson and Cynthia Jenkins; great-grandson, Colton Jenkins; sister, Earnestine Bailey of Orlando, Fla. Funeral services Wednesday, September 16, 1998, 8:00 p.m. at Farrar White Pine Chapel with Rev. Dwight Kenney officiating. Interment graveside services Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Kidz Kountry, in care of City Hall, P.O. Box 66, White Pine, TN. 37890. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to services at Farrar Funeral Home White Pine. Farrar Funeral Home in charge.

JINKS, SAM, of Mooresburg, born December 12, 1913, passed away September 15, 1998 in Morristown. He was a farmer and member of Spruce Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Spruce Pine Grove Baptist Church, Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Stubblefield Funeral Home, Mooresburg in charge of arrangements.

TURNER, THOMAS DELMUS, of Morristown, born December 29, 1916., passed away at the Life Care Center, Jefferson City, September 14, 1998. He was retired from Berkline Corporation. The family will receive friends at Stubblefield Funeral Home Wednesday, September 16, 1998, from 6:30- 8:00 p.m. with funeral at 8:00 p.m. Interment 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Hamblen Memory Gardens. SEAL, SARAH BURKETTE, age 88, of West Andrew Johnson Hwy., Morristown, passed away September 8, 1998 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Seal; parents, James and Martha Marion; sister, Orpha Johnson; brothers, Grover, Henry and Campbell Marion. Survivors: son, Kenneth H. Seal of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Lou and Jimmy Peoples of Morristown; grandson and wife, Scott and Dee Dee Seal of Germany; granddaughter and husband, Sarah and Doak Gilliam of Morristown; brother, Wilbur Marion of Sneedville; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Panther Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Garland James officiating. Interment will be in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made to the building fund or the organ fund of Panther Springs United Methodist Church. Mayes Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

CALDWELL, NOLA K., 317 N. Hill St., Apt C. Morristown, passed away September 8, 1998 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. She was a beautician. Dockery Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

GOINS, THOMAS RALPH, age 42, of Henard Town, Rogersville, passed away Monday, September 7, 1998, at his residence. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Robinson and Dorothy Goins; two brothers, Earnest Goins and Elmer Goins; parents, Arcie and Leona Goins. He is survived by his son, Richie Kerley Goins of Rogersville; two daughters, Crystal Young and Tracy Goins, both of Rogersville; three sisters, Martha Price, Brenda Worley, and Betty Johnson, all of Rogersville; seven brothers, Daniel Goins, Stanley Goins, Doyle Goins, Jerry Goins, Charlie Goins, Worley Goins, and Eugene Goins, all of Rogersville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of Charlie Goins, 333 Hillcrest St., Rogersville. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville.

ROACH, PAUL KENNETH, age 62, of Bean Station went to be with the Lord Monday, September 7, 1998 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church and was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Virgie Roach and brother, Harold Roach. Survivors: his wife, Susan Roach; sons, Jeff Roach and Tim Roach; daughter, Teresa Woods, all of Morristown; step-daughters, Tammy Farmer and Debra Townsley, both of Bean Station; brother and sisters, Shirley Carpenter of Morristown, Clyde Roach Jr., of Russellville, Mary Fassler of Talbott, Susan Williams of South Carolina; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9 at Stubblefield Chapel with Rev. Lester Byrd and Rev. Randy Seals officiating. Interment in Helton Cemetery. FERGUSON, CLAY, age 68, of Bean Station, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 1998. He was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church in Sneedville and was retired from NCR. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Rhea Ferguson; brothers, Homer (Buck) Ferguson and Clarys Ferguson. Survivors: daughters, Lana Ferguson, Bean Station, Vivian Ordonio, Prattville, Alabama, Lorie Gibson, Mooresburg, Vickie Hattaway, Morristown; sisters, Gladys Seal, Sneedville, Edith Woodruff, Sneedville, Imogene Hillburn, Red Oak, Oklahoma; grandsons, William, David, Philip; granddaughters, Erika, Jessica, Melanie. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Friday at Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. David Alder and Rev. David Lawson officiating. Interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens. BARKER, DOROTHY L., 88, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 1998 at Life Care of Jefferson City. Funeral service will be announced by Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.

LAY, ELNORA, age 64, of Morristown, TN., passed away Sunday, September 6, 1998, at Ft. Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 9, 1998, 8:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel with Dr. Richard Emmert officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Westside Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
