HOPKINS, BOBBIE JUNE, age 57, of Talbott, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, September 8, 1998, at the Life Care Center in Jefferson City after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Hopkins was a faithful member of the Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church of White Pine and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Hopkins. Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and the late Howard Hill, Virginia and Horace Greene, and Sarah and Escoe Smith, all of Talbott; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Douglas Hopkins of the home, J.T. and Helen Hopkins of White Pine, Marshall and Betty Hopkins of Talbott, Coy and Louise Hopkins, and Fred and Margaret Hopkins of Talbott; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts and uncles, Grace and Jean Hill, Elmer and Julia Knowling, Palmer and Mildred Hopkins, all of Talbott, Horace and Kathleen Knowling of Billings, Montana; numerous cousins, Hazel Knowling of Morristown, Lorraine Hopkins of White Pine, and Edith Hopkins of Talbott; special friends, Dee and Opal Cameron and Mae Welch of Talbott. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, September 10, 1998, from the Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Potter, Reverend Phil Hopkins, and Reverend Leslie Griffin officiating. GOINS, THOMAS RALPH, age 42, of Henard Town, Rogersville, passed away Monday. September 7, 1998, at his residence. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Robinson and Dorothy Goins; two brothers, Earnest Goins and Elmer Goins; parents, Arcie and Leona Goins. He is survived by his son, Richie Kerley Goins of Rogersville; two daughters, Crystal Young and Tracy Goins, both of Rogersville; three sisters, Martha Price, Brenda Worley, and Betty Johnson, all of Rogersville; seven brothers, Daniel Goins, Stanley Goins, Doyle Goins, Jerry Goins, Charlie Goins, Worley Goins, and Eugene Goins, all of Rogersville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. PRATT, ROBERT LEE, age 55, of 309 Mohawk Street, Morristown, passed away at his home Wednesday, September 9, 1998. He was of the Holiness faith. He was the son of Kathleen Myers and the late Wayne Pratt. Mr. Pratt served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a fire fighter for Hamblen County for 7½ years and worked for Lear Seating for 12 years. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Jeff Swanson (Tammey), Mrs. Rick Lindsey (Wendy); grandchildren, Brad Clark, Pam Swanson, Samantha Lindsey; brother, Donald Wayne Pratt and sister-in-law, Jerry; uncle, Harold Linkous; several aunts, nieces and nephews; very special friend, Shannon Sue Pratt. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Whitlock; two brothers.
