BUCHANAN, LUKAS E., age 71, of Tazewell, passed away Saturday morning at
his home. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at

BUNDREN, IVA, age 74, of Graham, N.C. formerly of Grainger County and
wife of Fred Bundren has passed away. Funeral service will be Sunday, at
2:00 p.m. at the McClure Funeral home with burial to follow in Graham,

HEDRIC, ROBERT B., age 65 of Thorn Hill was born on January 24, 1934 and
Passed away April 22, 1999 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. He
served in the United States Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Korean
Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Ann
(Mallicoat) Hedric. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Hedric of
Franklin, Ohio; son Robert B. Hedric, Jr. of Franklin; daughters and
sons-in-laws, Jacqueline and Rick Brown of Treadway, Tenn., Robin and
Scott Hendrix of Madison, N.C.; grandchildren, Jessica DePriest,
Christina Brown, Bernie Brown, Heather Brown, Meghan Hendrix, T.J.
Atkins; great grandchild, Destiny DePriest; brother, Orville Hedric of
Gatlinburg; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and
friends. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 1999 at the
Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.C. Dalton officiating.
Music will be by the Liberty Quartet. Pallbearers will be Rick Brown,
Bernie Brown, Scott Hendrix, Skip Reece, Tim Holt, Robert Hedric. Burial

HOPKINS, KATHLEEN, age 54, of Harrogate, passed away Thursday at her
home. The family received friends on Saturday at the Coffey Funeral
Home in Harrogate. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Harrogate. Burial will be in the Harrogate

MARGETJAK, HELEN ELAINE, age 53, of Rogersville passed away Friday,
April 23, 1999 at her residence after an extended illness. She was
customer service manager at Holliston Mills, Church Hill and a member of
Persia Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Stephen Margetjak,
Sr. of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Andrew
Ellison of Rogersville; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Stephen and
Melissa Margetjak, Jr. of Rogersville, Rev. Brett and Kim Margetjak of
Chesa-peake, Va.; four grandchildren, Mitchell and Gabriel Ellison of
Rogersville, Kennedy Margetjak of Rogersville, and Lauren Margetjak of
Chesapeake, Va.; parents, Macon and Mary Rogers Hataway of Fairhope,
Al.; five sisters, Brenda Kay Hataway of Naperville, Ill., Etta Word,
Faye Bishop and Bonnie Bishop, all of Fairhope, Al.; Bobbi Grosskopf of
New Cannaan, Conn.; one brother, Larry Hataway of Phoenix, Ariz.; a
number of nieces and nephews. Calling hours were Saturday, April 24,
1999 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral services will be
conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 1999 at Persia Baptist Church
with Dr. Bobby Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church

TALLEY, ROBERT E. (BOB), age 49, passed away Friday, April 23, 1999 in
Morristown-Hamblen Hospital after suffering a massive stroke. He was of
the Baptist faith and was a valued employee of Mor-ristown-Hamblen
Health System for 25 years in the Laboratory and Respiratory Department.
Bob was a U.S. Army veteran whose service to our country included two
tours of duty as a medic in Vietnam where he was a prisoner of war for a
brief period. He was an avid fan of Alabama's Crimson Tide. He had
achieved the rank of Shodan (Black Belt) in the Zen Tokukai Association
and was an active instructor of children in Kiyokan Dojo. He was
preceded in death by his father, Robert Talley; brother, James Talley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Austin Talley; daughter and
son-in-law, Beth Goodson Moffit and Myron Moffitt; grandchildren, Joey
and Katie Moffitt; daughter and friend, Melanie Talley and Todd Dailey;
son, Charles Russell Talley all of Morristown; mother and stepfather,
Myrtle and Ed Talley of Lakeland, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Colin
and Linda Talley of Orlando, Fla.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Kathy and Tony Gordon, Jim and Darlene Joyce of Greenville, S.C.; nieces
and nephews, Chystal Lane Colina, Casey and Christie Talley, Ashley and
Allyson Joyce, Brad and Ben Gordon; mother-in-law, Ida Austin;
grandmother, Myrtle Barfoot of Luverne, Ala. Bob will be fondly
remem-bered and greatly missed by his numerous good friends and family
in Tennessee and Alabama. Military graveside services will be 10:00 a.m.
Monday, April 26 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive
friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Stetzer Funeral Home in Morristown.

HAYES, ALMA COX, age 83, of Dandridge, TN., passed away Tuesday, April 21,, 1999 at Community Hospital in Indianapolis, IN., following a brief illness. She was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and attended the Deep Springs Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of the Jefferson County School System having worked at the Dandridge Elementary Cafeteria for many years. After her retirement she also worked for the Jefferson County Nursing Home. Preceded in death by husbands, Marshall “Mutt” Cox and John Hayes. LEWIS, MRS. OLA M., age 83, of Greenlee Street, Dandridge, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 1999 at the Life Care Center in Jefferson City. Mrs. Lewis was the widow of the late James Edgar Lewis; mother of the late Mamie Louise Lewis; and daughter of the late Perry and Emma Sizemore Messer. ARNOTT, PAULINE, 86, of 103 Short Road, Rogersville, Tenn., died Friday, May 28, 1999 at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital in Rogersville after a brief illness. She was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church and the daughter of the late Robert L. and Sallie Bacon Arnott. Ms. Arnott was a retired school teacher, having served in the Hawkins County School System for 37 years. Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte A. Horner and Georgia Lucille Arnott, both of Rogersville; two nephews, Wayne Lauderback of Savannah, Ga., and Robert Turner of Canby, Oregon.
