ATKINS, DAHL, of Morristown, passed away Friday, May 28, 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Arrangements to be announced later by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.

BUTCHER, BILLY JOE, age 57, of LaFayette, Ind. Son of Mr. Willard Butcher of Tazewell. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Coffey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CARTER, VIOLET (SUE), 44, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, May 29, 1999. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, John C. Shaw, daughter Angela (Shelly) Carter, sons Robert Carter, James Carter; granddaughter Kristin; parents Lillie and Robert Harris; brothers, Roy, Terry, and Jimmy Harris; father of her children, Johnny Carter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday at Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. George Dodson officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown. Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown is in charge of arrangements.

CROWE, WILLIAM POWELL, 58, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, May 29, 1999, at the home of his son. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, a Vietnam Army veteran and a retired ASARCO employee. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gregory (Pete) and Kim Crowe, Dandridge; daughter Janet Seals, Jefferson City; grandchildren, Jimmy Seals, and Ashley Crowe. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Sunday at Fielden Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Carr officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at Eastview Memorial Garden for a 3 p.m. interment. Military honors by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market. Fielden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FRENCH, HARVEY RAY, 73, died Friday, May 28, 1999 at Baptist Hospital, Knoxville. Born March 22, 1926 in Jefferson County, Tenn., he lived on Russell Gap Road, New Market and was retired from Candora Marble Co. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 30, 1999 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel at 8 p.m. Interment will be at Deep Springs Cemetery, 10 a.m. Monday. Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge is in charge of arrangements.

GILMORE, MAUDE, 103, of Rutledge, passed away Saturday, Mary 29, 1999 at Ridge View Terrace Nursing Home. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Survived by nieces and nephews and their spouses, Nadine Cruze, Oak Ridge, Jane and Richard Forester, Elvin and Mary Gilmore, all of Knoxville, Melvin and Kayo Gilmore, Ga., and Jack and Ida Gilmore, Seymour; niece-in-law, Joyce Gilmore, Gatlinburg. Graveside service 10 a.m. Monday, May 31, at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kirk D. Wallace officiating. A memorial service will be at Buffalo Baptist Church Sunday, June 6, 1999, following the morning worship service. Memorials may be made to the Youth Department of the church, Rt. #4, Rutledge, TN, 37861. Friends may call 1-6 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at their convenience at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market. HABEGGER, OPAL V., age 76, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 28, 1999 at her home in Morristown, Tenn. Mrs. Habegger was a retired floral designer and homemaker. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Annabell Young; husband Christian Habegger, and sister Elaine Waser. Survivors include her son, Christian Habegger and wife Trish of Hilliard, Ohio, Breck and wife Donna of Morristown; grandchildren, Jennifer of Ohio; Christian, Paul and Philip Habegger of Morristown; brother George Young of Youngstown, Ohio, and twin sister Olive Morehart of Ashtubula, Ohio. Mrs. Habegger is being transported to Lane Funeral Home in Youngstown, Ohio. The family will receive friends at Four Mile Run Christian Church, 701 N. Four Mile Run Rd., Youngstown, Ohio, from 12–2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 1999. Service to follow with burial in Green Haven Memorial Park in Youngstown. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio, 2685 Armstrong, Wooster, Ohio 44691. HANSARD, MRS. LOIS IRENE, age 84, of Harrogate, Tenn., passed away May 28, 1999 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was born August 28, 1914. She was a member of Pump Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, George and Minervia Arnold, husband Willard Franklin Hansard; two daughters, Georgia and Glenda Hansard; brothers, Fred, Elmer, Jack, Cogar, Warren Arnold; sisters, Stella Chumley, Mertie Fergerson, Cora Greer, Cecil Shipley Cunningham, Inez Drummonds, two great-grandchildren, Alex Taylor Massengill & Trevan Farmer. Survived by children: daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and J.D. Pierce of Harrogate, Tenn., sons and daughters-in-law: Doyle and Phyllis Hansard of Nashville, Void & Eva Hansard of New Tazewell, Ron & Katherine Hansard of Bellevue, Ohio, Mike and Nancy Hansard of Harrogate, Larry Dean Hansard of Atlanta, Ga., 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 1999 at Coffey Funeral home Chapel in Tazewell, Tenn. The body will lie in state 30 minutes. Ministers: Rev. Casper (Tip) Moore, Rev. Gary Miller. Singers: Liberty Quartet, Carolyn Lowery. Pallbearers: grandsons & grandsons-in-law Billy Cox, Jerry Walker, Mark Hansard, Kenny Lowery, Richard Hansard, Gerald Hansard, James Pierce, Dennis Farmer. Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Arterburn, Lance Massengill, Ben Pressnell. Burial will be in the Moody Cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home, Tazewell, is in charge of arrangements.

HOLBERT, BOBBY, 64, of Kodak, died Saturday, May 29, 1999 in Sevierville. Born Jan. 29, 1935 in Sevier Co., he lived on Bryan Road in Kodak, Tenn., and was retired from APAC Co. after 41 years. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Farrar’s Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral services will be Monday, May 31, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Kodak United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Kodak. Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City, is in charge of arrangements.

HUTCHINS, BILLY CURTIS, age 64, of Greeneville, passed away Saturday morning, May 29, 1999, at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, following an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Hutchins, Jr., parents, Emory Curtis and Dorothy Lee Hutchins; grandparents, William and Ida Belle Vaughn. He is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Louise Greer, Robin Lee Looney, Cindy JoAnn Mullins and Wanda Collins, all of Rogersville; two sons, Lester Dale Herron and Roger Herron, both of Rogersville; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Miller of Maryland; special nephew, Curtis Compton of Maryland. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Colboch-Price Chapel with Rev. Dewey Hickman officiating. Military graveside honors will be held Wednesday at the Mt. Home National Cemetery in Johnson City. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the services at Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville. Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville is in charge of arrangements.

WOLFE, JEFFREY PAUL, age 25, of Morristown, passed away on May 29, 1999 at his home. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers - Everett Ferguson, Clyde Wolfe, and uncle Donnie Ferguson. He is survived by: mother, Phyllis & Kim Stephens, Russellville, Tenn.; father, Kenneth & Sequoiyha Wolfe, Jefferson City; sister and brother-in-law, Marti And Ricky Lane of Morristown; step-sisters, Nikki and Erica Stephens; son, Shane Wolfe of Morristown; maternal grandmother, Ethel Ferguson; paternal grandmother, Etta Wolfe; nieces, Jessie & Erin Jones; several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 31 at Mayes Mortuary. The Rev. Donnie Bible will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Mayes Mortuary. Interment will be in the Hamblen Memory Gardens. Mayes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
