Haynes, Mrs. Fannie, age 90, of Jefferson City, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning April 18, 1999, at the Jefferson County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Haynes was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and an active member of the Home Demonstration Club. She was the widow of the late Don Haynes and mother of the late Bobby Haynes. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Gladys Haynes and John Snyder of Brick, N.J.; granddaughter, Julie Snyder of Arlington, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 1999, from the Farrar Funeral Chapel in Jefferson City with Reverend Ben Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be given to the Jefferson County Nursing Home, 914 Industrial Park Road, Dandridge, Tenn. 37725. NICHOLS, ANNIE B., age 90, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, April 15, 1999 at her home. CANNON, JOE, age 91, of Talbott received his eternal promotion Sunday, April 18, 1999. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cannon; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Willistene Cannon of Talbott; daughter, Betty Joe Hill of Morristown; seven grandchildren, Mark, Mack, and Richard Hill, Donna Dearing, Barbara Henson, Kay Williams, Shirley Purkey, all of Morristown; and eight great-grandchildren. SCOTT, DR. CHARLES SEALE, age 75, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, April 17, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Charles Sidney and Lonora Katherine Seale Scott. Dr. Scott attended Lincoln Memorial University and Carson Newman College, where he was with the Navy V12 program. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1947. He was an intern at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Scott was in general practice in Middlesboro, Ky. from 1948 to 1952. Dr. Scott served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany, Saudi Arabia and North Africa from 1952-1954. He completed his residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1958. Dr. Scott began his East Tennessee OB-GYN practice in 1958 in Morristown. He was active in the Lakeway Medical Society, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and had been the Chief of Staff several times at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Survivors include: wife, Billie Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dale Allen of Knoxville, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Cathy Scott of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Danny Stapleton of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Doug Hamilton of Walla Walla, Wash.; step son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Patty Bireley of Sevierville; sisters, Edith Harber, Harrogate, Tenn. and Lenora Scott Jones, Lexington, Ky.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty S. and Lloyd Riggsbee, Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Norma Scott, San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Brian F.S. Allen, Adam M. Allen, Julianne S. Edwards, Holly A. Collins, Lea Ann Swann, David Stapleton, Shonda Johnson, Sarah Lynn Bireley, Brian Bireley and Jonathan Shelton; great grandchildren, Charles Scott Edwards, Andrew Swann and Griffin Johnson. Funeral services for Dr. Scott will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Mayes Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until 8 p.m. prior to services. NEWMAN, WILLIAM JEFFREY, age 30, of White Pine, passed away Sunday, April 18, 1999, at his residence. He was a member of Sartain Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ray and Francis Newman. He is survived by one son, Cody Newman of the home; mother, Phyllis Newman of Morristown; father, Tommy Newman of White Pine; and grandparents Richard and Juanita Pollard of Talbott; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. COLLINS, BILLY C., age 58, of Morristown, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 17. He was a member of Morristown Baptist Tabernacle Church, and he was an army veteran. He is survived by three sons, Bobby Collins of Morristown, Darren Collins of Virginia and Terry Collins of St. Clair; one daughter, Donna King of Burnside, Ky.; two sisters, Shirley Buttry and Julia Adkins both of Morristown; two brothers, Buster Witt of Rutledge and Ronnie Witt of Morristown; and five grandchildren, Shane Collins, Jacob King, Tyler King, Megan Collins and Jeremy Collins. Funeral services for Billy Collins will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morristown Baptist Tabernacle. The Rev. Ralph Benfield will officiate. Interment will be in the Hamblen Memory Gardens. Smith of Houston, Texas; sisters, Bettie L. Helton and Mrs. Fred Beal; brothers, Troy B., Earl B., Harry R., and Marvin Smith, all of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews. MORRISON, MILDRED C., age 80, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Morristown, died Saturday afternoon, April 17, 1999, at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Charles and Zora McCurry Morrison; and a brother, Kenneth Morrison. Ms. Morrison was an employee of the Bell Telephone Company for over 40 years in Morristown and Tucson, Ariz., and she was a member of Farragut Christian Church. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Maxine Morrison; nephews and their wives, Mike and Pat Morrison, and Ted and Stacy Morrison, all of Knoxville; nieces, Vickie Meacham of Franklin, Tenn., and Donna Day and husband Randy of Ooltewah; grand nieces, Cassi Morrison and Crissie Meacham; and grand nephew, Zachary Day. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Monday at Allen Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Smith officiating. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Bob Mize presiding.
