COWAN, MARY EDITH, age 82, of Morristown passed away Friday morning, April 16, 1999 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church. She was born August 4, 1916 to Guy S. and Sophia Victoria Pruitt Neese in Wytheville, Va. She was preceded in death by brothers Earnest, Bruce, Roy and Dewey. Survivors include her husband, Claude William Cowan; children, William "Sonny" Cowan and daughter-in-law Kathryn of Morristown, Kenneth Cowan and daughter-in-law Sue of Morristown, Patsy Cowan Snowden and son-in-law Stanley of Maryville; sisters, Thelma Garland and Oneida Garland of Wytheville, Va., brothers, Guy S. Neese, Jr. of Blountville, Raymond Neese of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Tammy Sutton of Florida, Douglas Cowan of Morristown, Angela Snowden of Maryville, Tim Snowden who is in the U.S. Navy, Brian Cowan of Ohio, Mark and Aaron Cowan of Morristown; great-grandchildren, Braden and Emmalee Sutton of Florida, Landen Hartsoe of Mississippi, Tyrus and Grayson Cowan of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be today, April 18, 1999 at Westside Chapel at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Garland James officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today prior to services at the Westside Chapel. FLEENOR, AILEEN FRANSISCO, age 84, of Morristown, passed away on April 16, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sumptor Fleenor; parents, Garnett and Susan Bell Francisco; sister, Juanita Carter. Mrs. Fleenor was educated in the public schools of Hamblen County and city of Morristown and was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College of Athens. She was retired from Parks-Belk in Morristown and was a life-time member of the Panther Springs United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Sue Hardy Bain of Powder Springs, Ga. and Ann Rhea of Talbott; grandchildren, Randy Hardy, Sandy Hardy Sobotka of Marietta, Ga., Amie Rhea Blanchard of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Jon Rhea of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Jake and Sam Hardy, Collin Blanchard. Funeral services for Mrs. Fleenor will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. today at Mayes Mortuary. The Rev. Garland E. James will officiate. Interment will be in the Jarnagin Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Fleenor will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. today prior to the services at Mayes. LANGFORD, CLEO, age 70 of Webster Valley Rd. in Rogersville, passed away Saturday morning at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was a member of Kepler Missionary Baptist Church and was employed as a teacher at Kepler Elementery School in the Hawkins County School System for 47 years. She graduated from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kelley and Liza Mowl Langford; 1 brother, Kelley Langford, Jr.; 1 nephew, Warren Langford. She is survived by 1 sister-in-law, Anna Ruth Langford of Rogersville; 1 niece, Pamela Langford of Gray. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Colboch-Price Chapel with Rev. Maurice Lay officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery. MOUNTS, EVA WAVOLENE, age 73, of Rutledge, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain, Ohio. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene where she was active in the missionary society of the church and taught Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Grace Styers; brother, Dick Styers. Survivors include her husband Dewey, to whom she was married 48 years; son, Dale Truit of Vermilion, Ohio; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chalmer Styers of Newark, Ohio, Rev. Bob Styers of Circleville, Ohio; sister, Ernestine Stoffer of Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Westside Chapel with Rev. Scott Leadford officiating. NICHOLS, ANNIE B., age 90, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 1999 at her home. She was born on February 19, 1909 and was a former teacher at in Hamblen County. Mrs. Nichols taught at Judson S. Hill and West Elementary School for 42 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by husband, Frank Burnett Nichols. Survivors include her children, one daughter, Jewell N. Seals Nichols of Morristown; brothers, Claude (Jack) Bewley of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Benjamin and Jacquetta Seals of Memphis; uncle, Cass Bewley of Philadelphia; brother-in-law, James A. Nichols of Morristown; three sisters-in-law, Delora Bewley of Missouri, Ollie N. Mackey of Ind., Ruth C. Nichols of N.J.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church on 601 W. Main St. Funeral Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Monday at 8:00 p.m. April 19, 1999. Interment will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Morristown City Cemetery. He was employed with the Park Ranger Service, Panther Creek State Park Maintenance Department and a veteran with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ida Manning Parker and 3 brothers, Herbert, Wendell and Virch Parker. Survivors include his daughter, Shona Hill; grandson, Jason Hill of White Pine; brothers, Willis Parker, Jr. of Morristown, George Parker of Bean Station and Lewis Parker of West Carrollton, Ohio; sisters, Stella Wolfe of Morristown, Hazel Alexander of Johnson City, Grace Davis of Miamisburg, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
