BELLS, DOROTHEA BARNES, age 77, of Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at Holston Valley Hospital, following a brief illness, She retired from BellSouth with over 35 years of service. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Hasson Lodge No. 179, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was preceded in death by her husband, V.M. Sells; father, William Barnes; mother, Grace Barnes Dickey; sister, Billie Barnes. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Margaret Sells of Rogersville and Frank Eugene and Joyce Martin of Murphy, N.C.; sister, Mrs. James (Sue) Hubbard of Murphy, N.C.,; step-brother, Edward Dickey of Murphy, N.C.,; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. BACHE, HELEN, 83, passed away Monday evening at her home following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. BULL, MRS. ANNA MAE, age 67, of Tazewell, TN., was born October 11, 1931 and passed away quietly on April 20, 1999 at her home after a long illness surrounded by her family and loved ones. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her letter to Seals Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. She was a life member of The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary; member of the American Legion Auxiliary; and an avid hobbist and teacher in ceramics. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus (Chuck) and Rebekah Ramsey Collingsworth; infant sister, Mollie Jane Collingsworth; and brother, Edd Collingsworth. LONG, JAMES FREDRICK “FREDDY,” 28, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday morning, April 20, 1999, at his home. He professed faith in God at an early age. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Hazel Long, and Homer Long. SCOTT, DR. CHARLES SEALE, age 75, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, April 17, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Charles Sidney and Lonora Katherine Seale Scott. Dr. Scott attended Lincoln Memorial University and Carson Newman College, where he was with the Navy V12 program. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1947. He was an intern at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Scott was in general practice in Middlesboro, Ky. from 1948 to 1952. Dr. Scott served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany, Saudi Arabia and North Africa from 1952-1954. He completed his residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1958. Dr. Scott began his East Tennessee OB-GYN practice in 1958 in Morristown. He was active in the Lakeway Medical Society, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and had been the Chief of Staff several times at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Survivors include: wife, Billie Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Carol yn and Dale Allen of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Cathy Scott of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Danny Stapleton of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Doug Hamilton, Sevierville; step son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Patty Bireley, Walla Walla,WA.; sister, Edith Harber, Harrogate, TN.; sister, Lenora Scott Jones, Lexington, KY.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty S. and Lloyd Riggsbee, Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Norma Scott, San Antonio, TX.; grandchildren, Brian F.S. Allen, Adam M. Allen, Julianne S. Edwards, Holly A.
