HAAG, HARVEY, age 61, of 638 Collinson Ford Road, Morristown, passed away Monday, March 15, 1999 at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. He was a native of Mascot, TN. He was the manager at Sky City for 23 years and presently owned and operated the E-Z Pawn shop on Lincoln Ave., and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He attended Alpha Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Oma Haag and brother, Charles Haag. Survivors include his wife, Janice Haag; sons, Randy Haag, Eric and wife, Missie Haag, Wesley and wife, Stephanie Haag, daughter, Kelly Giles and fiancee, Gary Sherfey; grandchildren, Tiffany Dearing, Tia Dearing, Lucas Giles, Nicholas Haag and Ericka Haag, all of Morristown; brothers, Jim Haag of Morristown and David Haag of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Marjorie and husband, Carroll Shockely of Morristown, Louise Chapman of Pendleton, S,C, Funeral services will be Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tom James officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. in the Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. HURST, ATHLYNE SPOONE, age 90, of Morristown, TN., passed away Tuesday, March 16, 1999. She was born July 31, 1908. She was the daughter of the late Dr. William B. and Anna Spoone and the wife of the late William A. Hurst. She was preceded in death by her brothers, W. Frank , Richard A. and Howard S. Spoone. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Robert Neblett of Morristown; son, William P. Hurst of Alexandria, VA.; grandchildren, Nancy N. Seal of Morristown, William V. Neblett of Talbott; great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Joshua Seal, Jessica and Emily Neblett; great-great-grandchild, Telisa Seal; special friend and neighbor, Aileen Wice of Morristown. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mayes Mortuary with Revs. Doug Smith and T.W. Singleton officiating. Interment will be in Hamblen Memory Gardens. LEE, ROGER LYNN, of Morristown, passed away on March 15, 1999 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. following an extended illness. He was a member of Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church; an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed by Lakeway Container, Inc., for 23 years. Preceded in death by his father, William R. Lee and sister, Bobbie Ann Lee. Survivors; wife, Kim Lee of Morristown; daughter, Morgan Lee of Colorado; mother, Mary W. Lee of Morristown; brother, Bill D. Lee of Morristown; sisters, Glenda Cowan of Morristown, Susie Starnes of Knoxville; special cousin, Ruby Lee Heck of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Mortuary with Dr. Howard Shipley officiating. Private graveside service will be Friday. MCBRIDE, JAMES H., age 67, of Morristown, passed away Monday morning at his residence. He was a retired machinist; a native of Dayton, Ohio and a Navy veteran. He was a life time member of V.F.W. Post 8312 in Beaver Creek, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert C. and Helen Gibson McBride and 2 brothers, Eugene and Mark McBride. Survivors: wife, Mae Truett McBride; son, Mark Anthony McBride, Milwaukee, Wisc.; daughter, Sherry Allen and husband, Marvin of Emerson, Neb.; grandchildren, Michael Dean Allen and Sarah Allen. She was a retired crane operator for Alcoa Aluminum Company. She was a member of Morrisett Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Price; five brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Greene of Ocala, Florida; son, Jake Price of Planfield, IN.; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
