PRUITT, NORMAN, age 89, of Sneedville, passed away Thursday, March 4, 1999 at his home. He was a member of Fox Branch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Albert Pruitt; parents, James G., and Elizabeth Pruitt; two sisters and three brothers. STONE, ADA MITCHELL, age 86, of Joe Thornton Rd., (Chestnut Hill Community), Dandridge, passed away Friday morning, March 5, 1999 at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Stone was born, Oct. 8, 1912 in Grainger County, TN., and was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Byerly Mitchell. Preceded in death by husband, Edd Stone. He was a faithful member of the Mouth of Highland Baptist Church since 1939, and a retired farmer. Survived by wife of 42 years, Betty Mitchell Vineyard of Blaine; daughter, Amy Vineyard of Pasadena, California; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Teresa Vineyard and Carl Vineyard of Morristown; grandchildren, Phillip and Julia Vineyard. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was Executive Housekeeper for Morristown-Hamblen Hospital for 30 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Davis; daughter, Velma Grace Davis; son, Rev. L.C. Davis and grandson, James Paul Haag. FRYE, MARY FRANCES, age 73, of Wardensville, WV., died Monday, March 8, 1999 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Mrs. Frye, born on September 7, 1925 in Greenville, S.C., a daughter of the late William Sr., and Carla Phillips Schwiers. She was a retired school teacher for Wardensville High School and East Hardy High School. She taught history, Driver’s Education, and was a cheerleading sponsor. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1942 and Furman College, both located in Greenville. She was also a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Wardensville. She was married to James Edward Frye on August 23, 1947 in Greenville. Mr. Frye passed away on July 19, 1995. Surviving are three sons, James E. Fye Jr., and Joshua S. Frye, both of Wardensville, Joe Bill Frye of Morristown, TN.; and 6 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son, F. Henry Frye and one brother, William Schwiers Jr. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 12, 1999, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Richard Mull. Interment will be in the Wardensville Cemetery in Wardensville, WV. HORNER, CECIL PATRICK, 81, formerly of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 1999 in Laughlin Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. He was a graduate of Bulls Gap High School and a lifelong farmer in Hawkins County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Ramey Horner Legg; father, Jessie Horner; 2 brothers, Glenn and Wendell Horner; and a half-brother, Gene Legg. He is survived by his sister, Gladys Stanley of Sierra Vista, Arizona; one brother, Paul Horner of Whitesburg; and a half-brother, Wayne Legg of Whitesburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, at 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Arnott and Rev. Gary Marshall officiating. KEEBLER, MRS., ADA “ADDIE,” of Jefferson City, formerly of Lenoir City, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in Chattanooga Hospital. She was 96. Mrs. Keebler was born in Loudon County and was a long-time resident of Lenoir City, Tennessee. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Lenoir City and served as church hostess for 30 years. In 1978, she and her late husband, Mr. Charles E. Keebler, moved to Jefferson City, Tennessee to be near her daughter, the late Mrs. Roy (Colleen) Harmon. Upon moving to Jefferson City in 1978, Mr. and Mrs. Keebler became members of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City where they remained active until their health declined. Her son, Bobby Keebler of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died in March of 1997. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. William Huston Lebow; her mother, Ms. Agnes Malonee Lebow; sisters, Mrs. Ida Louise Hicks, Mrs. Lena Mitchell, Mrs. Nellie Robinson, Mrs. Carrie Watt, and Mrs. Nola Jane Cecil; and one brother, Mr. Lester Lebow. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Donna Keebler of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brad Harmon of Knoxville, Ralph Harmon of Hiram, Georgia, Tom Harmon of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Harry Harmon of Aiken, South Carolina, and Angela Duchinsky of Rock Hill, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Sandy Spence of Aiken, South Carolina, Alan Harmon of Iowa City, Iowa, Becky Harmon of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Leigh Anne Newcomb of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Brian Harmon of Blacksburg, Virginia, Doug Harmon and Cliff Harmon, both of Hiram, Georgia and Tyler Duchinksy of Rock Hill, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 1999, from the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City with Dr. William Johnson, and Reverend Joe Nickell officiating.
