WHITT, STELLA M., age 88, of Ruteldge, passed away on March 2, 1999 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Central Point Baptist Church. Ms. Whitt was preceded in death by husband, Claude R. Whitt; brother, Howard Kidwell; sisters, Pauline Dalton and Irene Hancock. She is survived by a beloved son, J. Kenneth Whitt and sisters, Zelma Whitt and Rosalee Greenlee. WINSTEAD, WILLIE WAYNE, age 53, of Clarkston, Michigan, formerly of Washburn, Tennessee, passed away February 27, 1999, at his home. He has been employed for the past 33 years with General Motors. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Winstead. Survivors include his former wife, Sandy Winstead; son, Todd Winstead; daughters, Carol Davis and Lisa Beaushell of Michigan; six grandchildren; mother, Helen Winstead of Washburn; sisters, Charlotte Needham of Washburn, Brenda Coffman of Bean Station; brothers, Raymond Winstead of Thorn Hill, Vanoye Winstead, Steve Winstead of Rutledge, Vernon Winstead of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jody Winstead officiating. Burial in Lake View Cemetery. He was a member of Mooresburg Baptist Church; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of V.F.W. Post 5266 and retired from Morristown Lincoln Mercury. The son of the late James and Fannie Parris Davis and was preceded in death by sisters, Lizzie, Jessie, Cynthia and brothers, Will, John and Harve.
