PIERCE, RUBY L., born February 1, 1924, of Morristown, died at her home Monday morning after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ruby was a caring, loving person who, until her own illness began to take its toll, was there to care for and support her loved ones in any way possible. An avid, accomplished quilter and excellent self-taught seamstress, she was happiest when sharing the fruits of her labor with those she loved. Marrying young and living through difficult times, she managed to somehow meet everyone’s needs and provided her family with a stable, safe, and loving environment. To those who knew her, it often seemed there was nothing she couldn’t do. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; three brothers; four sisters and two grandchildren. She is survived by Bob, her devoted husband of sixty years; and her loving children, Bob (Betty) of Charlotte, N.C., Clara Roach of Morristown, Jody Frambach, also of Charlotte, Jessie Aldridge of Countryside, IL. and Vickie (Michael) Fulton of Litchfield, OH; dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nathan (Diane) Frambach and Garrett, Leigh (Pat) Stevens and Shannon, Steve (Maryann) Frambach, Greg (Jennifer) Roach, Lindsey and Will, and Rachel and Joshua Fulton,. She is also survived by three sisters. Funeral services Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at Westside Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday night at Westside Chapel. TAYLOR, MRS. BERNICE T., retired Hamblen Co. school teacher, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999. Mrs. Taylor taught for over 40 years. HENDRICKS, BEULAH ETTA, was born February 7, 1903, in Powell, Tennessee to the proud parents of Reverend and Mrs. Charles and Lucinda Willis. She was the only girl and the oldest of five children. Beulah accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour at an early age and entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 7, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. Beulah was married to the late Reverend Charles Albany Hendricks, and to this union thirteen (13) children were born. She was a member of the Martha Davis Church in Jefferson City where she worked faithfully until she was physically unable to do so. Mrs. Hendricks received her formal education in the Powell Public School system. We rejoice and thank the Lord for allowing “Momma” to share ninety-six years of her life with us. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Hendricks Sr.; sons,Charles Jr., Bartee, Steve, and Daniel; daughters, Lee Ella and Ella Mae; mother, Lucinda Willis and father, Reverend Charles Willis; brothers, Reverend Orville Willis, Reverend Raymond Willis and Reverend Vernon Willis. Eddie was a graduate of Maury High School Class of 1973 and was also a graduate of the University of Tennessee. HOLT, BOMAN, 82, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Newport, passed away Thursday at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Bowman was employed by General Motors in Cleveland. He was a veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents Porter and Thulia Holt. He is survived by sisters, Sadie Crumbly and Nannie Gibson of Cleveland, Ohio, Mae Stenson of Newport; several nieces and nephews.
