WEST, KATHY DIANE, age 27, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, December 17, 1998, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Delphia (Buge) and Zora Calfee Reed, Forrest and Ruby Mae Burchell Watts. CAMPBELL, MISS EVA D., age 88, of Jefferson City, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Friday morning, December 18, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City following an extended illness. Miss Campbell was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, having served as a Sunday School teacher and “GA’s” leader for more than 40 years. “Miss Eva” was owner/operator of Eva’s Beauty Shop for 64 years, having operated shops in New Market and Jefferson City prior to her retirement in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Nancy Weidner Campbell; brothers, Wayne Farris, and Edgar Campbell; and sister, Delta Farris. LANGSTON, LEE, 63, of Russellville, died Friday evening, December 18, 1998, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Adkins Langston. Mr. Langston was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and attended Morristown Wesleyan Church. He was an employee of Cemco Inc., and has many friends there that he never forgot. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Della Mayes Langston; sons, Mike Langston, and Roger Langston and wife Joy, all of Russellville; brother, Kenneth Langston of Garden Grove, CA.; sister, Sue Henman of San Jose, CA.; grandchildren, Amy, Roger, Miranda, and Tabitha Langston of Russellville, and Pam Langston of Bulls Gap; several nieces and nephews. TREADWAY, MR. JAMES EUGENE, 614 Opie Arnold Rd., Limestone, TN. died Monday December 14, 1998 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Mo. following a short illness. He was the son of Abe Eugene and Bertha Maude McCracken Treadway. He attended Mt. Bethel Christian Church and was a graduate of East Tennessee State University. He retired in 1990 from Walters State Community College. In his earlier career, he served as coach of winning basketball teams at Washington College Academy and Limestone Elementary School, Territorial Manager for “Save the Children Federation,” Wesson Oil, and Snowdrift Co., and Cox and Rich Wholesale. He served as counselor at an Easter Seal Crippled Children’s Camp, President of the Limestone Ruritan Club, District Lt. Governor for Ruritan National, Chairman of the Washington County Cancer Crusade, member of the Washington County School Board, and was a Red Cross Disaster Services Volunteer. Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Cleo Carson Treadway, Limestone, TN.; one son, Dr. Jon Treadway, Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Cherie Matthews, Gray, TN., and Connie Dewald, Morristown, TN.; one brother, Bob Treadway, Johnson City, TN.; six grandchildren; one niece; and six nephews. Services of celebration and fellowship will be held Jan. 3, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Christian Church, 361 Clear Springs Rd., Limestone, TN. 37681.
