PARKEY, MR. CLEOPHUS, 65, of Henry Manor Apts., Morristown, TN., was born to the late Ed and Ethel Parkey on Feb. 16, 1933, and entered eternal rest on Jan. 27, 1999 at home. He attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. He was retired. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Amanda Parkey Blevins and Cliva Parkey Nance, and one brother, Loony Parkey. Cleophus leaves to cherish his memories, sister, Frances (James) Hampton of Morristown; and brothers, Johnny (Loretta) Parkey and A.R. (Gladys) Parkey of Morristown and Charlie Ray Parkey of Motdesto, CA.; and special friend, Silvia Parkey of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the home of A.R. Parkey, 547 Callaway Dr., Morristown, TN. ROBINSON, MRS. LILLIE FUGATE PARKEY, age 94, of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Tazewell, passed away Saturday in Tallahassee. NOE, IRENE BALES, age 79, a native of Hamblen County, passed away Thursday, January 28, 1999 at her residence in Strawberry Plains. She formerly owned the Arrow Motel in the Carter Community and other businesses, including a Dairy farm in the Kodak Community. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star of Morristown. Mrs. Noe had a very special love for children. Preceded in death by her husband, William Carroll Noe; parents, Jesse and Kate Pratt Bales; sister, Elva Hux; brothers, L.M., Albert, Lawton and Jack Bales. Survivors include her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Kathy Noe and grandchildren, John and Daniel Noe of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Betty Bales of Morristown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Belle Hodge of Talbott, Faye and Wallace Mills of Morristown, June and J.W. BOATMAN, ELVIA GLADYS, age 89, of 7918 Country Scene Road, Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Jesus, Sunday, January 24, 1999. Mrs. Boatman was of the Baptist faith and was currently a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church at Halls Crossroads. She was formerly a member of the McCoy Memorial Baptist Church in Elkhart, Indiana, Pueblo West Baptist Church in Pueblo West Colorado, the McCalla Avenue Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee and the First Baptist Church of Morristown, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Boatman and daughter, Betty Jo Boatman. Mrs. Boatman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dana and Joan Boatman of Knoxville; four grandchildren, Christine Dadisman of Merced, California, Dana Boatman III of Dallas, Texas, Jeffrey Boatman (Stephanie) of Alvaton, Kentucky, Caryn Trout (Tim) of Harlan, Kentucky. She also has six great-grandchildren; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. CARROLL, WILLIAM RALPH “BUD,” age 63, of Morristown, passed away at his home January 23, 1999. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Tamzy Carroll and sister, Barbara Miley. CROUCH, TIMOTHY MARK, age 38, of Morristown, TN., departed this life January 24, 1999 at UT Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Timothy professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined Montvue Baptist Church in 1968 and later attended Oak Grove Primitive Church of Bulls Gap, TN. Timothy will be sorely missed by his family. Timothy was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Bill and Vesta Futrell and Ethel and Elmer Crouch of Paducah, KY. HARDISON, CAROL JEAN CLICK, age 76, of Landmark Drive, Morristown, died Sunday, January 24, 1999 at Baptist Hospital of Knoxville. She was born December 19, 1922 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Mildred Norris Miller and John Cluck. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Henry Alexander Hardison. Mrs. Hardison was a member of Hamblen Chapter No. 31 Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson City, and First United Methodist Church L.B.C. Organization. Survivors include sons, Henry A. Hardison Jr., of Dayton, Ohio, Philip I. Hardison of Knoxville, James A. Hardison of Knoxville, and Thomas D. Hardison of Morristown; daughters, Ruth C. Hardison Barhite of West Palm Beach, Florida, Alice T. Hardison, Showalter of Danville, Kentucky, Susan M. Hardison Hensley of Dalton, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; brother, John Robert Click of Ironton, Ohio. WOOD, LUCILLE M., age 68, of Jefferson City, passed away 4:30 a.m. January 24, 1999 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Retired from Carson-Newman College food service with 35 years of service. Survived by husband, Charles L. STAPLETON, RICKY L., age 41, of Morristown, went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, January 12, 1999. He was a member and deacon of Light House Church. Preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Jimmy Stapleton. Survivors: parents, Albert and Dollie Stapleton; sisters, Joyce Kerns and Mary Ruth Bartley; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Christina and Jessica Stapleton. ROBINSON, LINDA TREECE, passed away on January 9, 1999. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville, where she was a faithful choir member. She diligently gave of her time and service at The Love Kitchen in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was her request that, in lieu of flowers, a memorial be made to The Love Kitchen. BAILEY, JOE THOMAS, of Church Hill, TN., passed away Monday (Jan. 11,1999) at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. Mr. Bailey served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was active in the Experimental Aircraft Association. He served for several years as a Major in the Civil Air Patrol, and was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Bailey received a Master’s Degree in Education from East Tennessee State University and retired from the Hawkins County School System with more than 30 years of service, He was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church, Kingsport, TN. He was the son of the late Dorsey and Mabel Buck Bailey. Survivors are numerous cousins and many friends.
