Goley, Frances Ann age 80, of Lenoir City, Went home to be with the Lord Wednesday night, June 18, 2003 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by parents, Ben (Slick) and Nina Howard; husband, William H. (June) Goley; daughter, Thelma Bernice Goley (infant); and ten other brothers and sisters. Frances was a member of Huntsville Church of God. She was an active usher in her church and ushered funerals and other church/religious functions whenever she was called upon. Survivors: children, Jannie Goley Brown and husband, Cecil Jr., William A. (Tony) Goley, Benny H. Goley and wife, Jeannie, all of Lenoir City; sister, Agnes Doggett of Knoxville; brother, Joe Howard of Loudon; brother-in-law, William (Bill) Hackler of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jones; mother, Katherine Jones; step-mother, Velma Jones. Johannisson, James R., age 61, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN formerly of Newbury, Ohio died suddenly Thursday, June 19, 2003. He was retired from L.T.V. Steel. Jim was a graduate of The Ohio State University. He was a member of Tellico Village Community Church. Preceded in death by parents, Sven and Kay Johannisson. Survived by his wife of 13 years, Anne L. Shires, Franklin Walter (Frank), age 82, of Farragut, formerly of Obion, TN, passed away early Friday morning, June 20, 2003 at Park West Hospital. Frank was retired from T. V. A. hydro power production. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy as a fighter pilot aboard the aircraft carrier USS Franklin in the Pacific. Frank directed the Sheffield, AL, High School Band and Glee Club. He was a former Lions' Club member. He was a 35 year member of the National Speleological Society. He enjoyed ham radio (his call letters were W4FWS) and was a grateful Friend of Bill. Williams, Brandon Leslie age 25, of Lenoir City, departed this life, Friday, June 20, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident and now is wrapped in the arms of his Saviour. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. Brandon was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Knoxville. He enjoyed playing football and started playing at age 5 until his graduation from Farragut High School. He attended Pellissippi and U. T. Chattanooga. Brandon never met a stranger. He captured the hearts of everyone he met instantly. He had a passion for living. Brandon was a special father, son, brother and best friend. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Teddy A. Williams and Gene Field. Hargis, John Edmund, age 91, of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, June 20, 2003. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as elder and Sunday school teacher. He retired from Union Carbide Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge after thirty years. He loved to write, enjoyed photography and was an excellent carpenter. Clabough, Edna Inez, age 77, 77 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2003 at her home with the family beside her. She was a member of West Hills Baptist Church of Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her parents Casto and Willie Edna Campbell; sisters Oneida Harbin, Shirley Wolfe, brothers Jack Campbell and Allen Campbell. Langley, David age 50 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Monday, June 23, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center after a short illness. David was an employee for many years at Metro West Ford. He attended First Baptist Church, Concord. David was an avid golfer and enjoyed his Wednesday golf group at Egwani Farms. Bivens, Freddie Lee, age 82, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday evening, June 23, 2003, at the Windwood Health and Rehab Center where he had been a resident since 1998. He was a member of Kingston Pike Baptist Church. Freddie was a disabled W. W. II veteran serving with the U. S. Army. While serving in the Army he received a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with One Bronze Star and an AP Service Ribbon and Four Bronze Service Stars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Bivens; parents, Andrew James and Deed Bivens; twin brother, Eddie Bivens, brothers, Harm Bivens, Kenneth Bivens, and Andy Bivens; sister, Irene Smallen. Hurst, Joe F., age 71, of Farragut, formerly of Rockville, MD, passed away suddenly June 27, 2003. Joe was born on August 23, 1931 in Savannah, TN. After serving in the US Navy, he earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Joe retired from Vitro Corporation in Silver Spring, MD, as vice-president after 25 years. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Knoxville, TN to enjoy the mountains, the lakes and the UT Vols. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luanne Harden Hurst, whom he dearly loved; parents, William and Mamie Hurst. Callaham, Kenneth Hubbard, age 68, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday evening, June 29. Ken was born on November 21, 1934. He was a member of Fellowship Church in Knoxville, TN. Ken was employed by Liberty Check Printing Inc. of Knoxville. He was a retired pastor and evangelist with the United Methodist Conference. His present ministry, The Shepherd's Friend, was a part of a prayer network of Knoxville area pastors and leaders. Ken was pastor at the Methodist Children's Home in Columbia, SC, Porters Chapel, Tabor, Mount Bethel, and Bethlehem Methodist Churches in Pickens, S.C. He was pastor of Walnut Grove and Cornelius Methodist Churches and director and founder of Spartanburg Inner City Ministry in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Basil Hallum Jr. and Edna G. Hubbard Callaham of Seneca, SC., his brother, Basil, and one grandchild, Hope Lovette Mount.
