O’Domirok, Samuel (Sam), age 84, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday March 10, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Loudon Hospital. Sam was retired as General Foreman from Scovill in Lenoir City. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II he was honored with the Bronze Star and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5150. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Garvey O’Domirok and son James O’Domirok. Sam is survived by this wife, Katherine Foley O’Domirok; son, Thomas (Tommy) O’Domirok and wife Kathy; daughter-in-law, Maxine O’Domirok all of Lenoir City; step-children, Katherine McGhee and husband Wayne of Roanoke, Va; Michael Foley and wife Karen of Lenoir City; Grand Children, Michael O’Domirok and wife Lori, Daryl O’Domirok and wife Brenda, Jordan Foley, Thomas J. Nelson, William Glen, age 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Glen was retired from Scovill and was a former employee of Lenoir City Car Work’s. He served in the U. S. Army during W. W. II with the 238th Engineers Division where he was awarded 5 bronze stars. Preceded in death by parents, Lant and Laura Collins Nelson; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Cliff Melton, sister, Lennis Nelson Glass; and brother-in-law, James Hair, Jr. Survived by wife of 62 years, Rachel Babb Nelson; son, Bill Nelson and wife, Sammye Nelle; beloved grandsons, Burke Nelson and wife, Sharon and Wayne Nelson all of Lenoir City; sister, Ruth Hair of Lenoir City; brother, Lynn Nelson and wife, Jo Ann of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. McNabb, Thomas Arthur, age 70, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at his home. Tommy had 18 years of military service. He began his service in 1949 in the U. S. Army in the Company "B" Infantry. He then served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force in the 1734th Air Evacuation Squadron. The remainder of his service was with the Air National Guard at McGhee Tyson. He was retired from McNutt Oil Co. in Maryville. He served on the City Council in Lenoir City for 25 years. He was the present Police Commissioner and sat on the Lenoir City Utilities Board. Tommy was a member of Silver Ridge Baptist Church. A member of Avery Lodge #593 F & AM. and the Scottish Rite. Preceded in death by father, Lewis (Deacon) McNabb; mother, Gladys Mincey McNabb; brother, Robert (Penny) McNabb. Brown, Harry J., age 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday Morning, March 23, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was of the Baptist Faith. Harry was retired from Union Carbide in Oak Ridge having served over 35 years as an accountant. He was a lifetime member and past president of National Accountants Association. Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jo McCarroll Brown. Bud was a retired electrician and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, J. F. and Elsie Pickell Weatherly; son, Wayne Eugene Weatherly; half brother, W. P. Weatherly; half sister, Dee Weatherly. Martin, Donna Sue, age 63, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She worked in the Foster Care Program (Omni Visions) for the State of Tennessee. She loved wood working and making arts and crafts. Survived by daughter, Diana Gagnon and husband, Mark of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Casey McGraw and husband, Jeff of Englewood, OH, Nicholas Hudson and Matthew Hudson of Middletown, OH; great grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter McGraw of Englewood, OH; mother, Bea Moore of Arizona; sisters, Sherry Eilerman and Barbara Gonzales of Loudon; brother, Garry Moore of Arizona; niece, Kristin; nephew, Daniel; and special friend, Shirley Brewster. Merckson, Chief Petty Officer Maury Maurice, age 37, of Bethesda, Maryland, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the Parkwest Medical Center. Maury was a member of the United States Navy serving during Desert Storm on the U. S. S. Nassau, and was a Naval Corpsman for 17 years. He received the National Commendation Medal on 2 different occasions. He was a graduate of the Bethesda Naval Academy. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, Beth and Doyce Hodge and Marjorie and B. L. Merckson. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Lenoir McFall Merckson; daughters, Meagan Lenoir, Sarah Elizabeth, Katie Ann and Audrey Hope; parents, Fred and Ann Merckson of Florida; sisters, Tena Merckson of Florida and Sheryl Merckson of Pennsylvania; nephew, Justin McFall; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Steve and Margie McFall; brothers-in-law, Jason McFall and wife, Amy and Chris McFall. Murphy, Mr. Gayle Douglas, age 74, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the Parkwest Medical Center. born in Joplin, MO on September 11, 1928. Mr. Murphy was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Orville and Mona Murphy; sisters, Ima Lou Timmons, Norma Cunningham; brothers, Keith, Melvin and Aubrey; and a grandson. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Dorka Murphy; son, Mike Murphy of Bishop, CA; daughters, Kay Marie Murphy, Bishop, CA and Diane Murphy of Beaverton, Oregon; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Bill Murphy and wife, Diane of Lenoir City, Edward Murphy and wife, Barbara of California; sisters, Frances Timmons and Willa Dean Stewart both of California; several nieces, nephews; extended family and friends. Helen Lucille Gibbs (nee Newcombe) of Concord, died Tuesday, March 25th, in Palm Coast, Florida where she had resided the past five years. She was born in Concord and lived most of her life in the Knoxville area, except for several years spent in Ohio and Nashville. She was a 1932 graduate of Farragut High School, having attended all 12 grades there. She was a member of the girls' basketball team. Mrs. Gibbs was a long time employee of the Greyhound Gift Shop in Knoxville.She enjoyed cooking, working cross word puzzles and keeping in touch with friends, many she had known since grade school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Monroe Gibbs in 1960; father and mother, George and Rosa Belle (Starkey) Newcombe; brothers, Howard and Don Newcombe; sisters Ruth Smith and Dorothy Kelley; nephews,Gary Boswell and Ronnie Kelley. Survivors include her children, Charles of Lima, Ohio, Jo Ann Gleason and husband Ben of Vermilion, Ohio, Larry Gibbs and wife Shirley of Palm CoastFlorida; her beloved grandson, Monte, with whom she shared many wonderful moments, her step-grandsons, John Payne and wife Clarissa of Snellville, Georgia,Chris Knoell of Richmond, Virginia; eight step-great grandchildren; brothers G.W. Seguin, Nancy Clanci, age 72, died March 24, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born May 6, 1930 in Bronx, New York. She is survived by daughters, Laura Katona of Ohio, Julia Shop and Carol Seguin of Nevada; son, Rich Seguin of Tennessee; grandchildren, Andrew and Neil Shop of Ohio, Amy and Jill Katona of Ohio, Alex Posa of Nevada; great-granddaughter, Adia Shop of Ohio; her mother, Jessica Clanci and brother, Salvatore Clanci both of Maryland; and sister, Virginia Torchetti of Florida. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A service will be held Saturday, March 29th, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, with visitation prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family asks that memorial donations be given to Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Nancy Clanci Seguin.

Vineyard, Calvin C., age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Retired from Teamsters Local #519. Calvin was a disabled Army veteran serving in W. W. II. Preceded in death by parents, James and Nellie Trout Vineyard; great grandson, Logan Matthew Vineyard; brothers, Troy Vineyard, Halbert (Bud) Vineyard and H. E. Vineyard. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Josie Davidson Vineyard; children, Clayton Vineyard and wife, Gail, and Jerry Vineyard and wife, Loretta; grandchildren, Chip Vineyard, Kevin Vineyard and wife, Jodi, Travis Vineyard and wife, Jennifer, Brent Vineyard, Wendy Moses and husband, Trent; great grandchildren: Colby and Corbin Moses, Lane and Hayden Vineyard all of Lenoir City; brother, Coy Vineyard of Lenoir City; sister, Mildred Houser and husband, James of Greenback; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Click Funeral Home with Mr. Kent Bailey officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Calvin C. Vineyard.
