Ruth Hardin Felty, age 86, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday morning, May 4, 2006 at the Park West Hospital. She was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ruth was proud to be a Guardette at Oak Ridge during W. W. II. She loved gardening and working in her flowers. Preceded in death by parents, Rev. William Homer Bailey, age 83, of Kingston, passed away Thursday May 4, 2006 at the Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church. He was retired from Rockwood Chamberlain Memorial Hospital and was a lifetime farmer. Charles Thom Mackay Jr.age 86 of Farragut, TN, formerly of Warren, New Jersey, passed away Friday afternoon, May 5, 2006 at Baptist Hospital West in Farragut. Charlie was a graduate of the U S Maritime Academy and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He retired in 1985 as Maintenance Superintendent from Premium Plastics in East Brunswick, NJ. He moved to Tennnessee in 1988 and served on the board of trustees of Admiral Bend Homeowners Association in Farragut. Charlie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Charles Michael Whitt, age 54, of Lenoir City, TN, formerly of Valrico, FL and Huntsville, AL, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, May 6, 2006. Mike was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He was a former member of Union Grove Church of Christ in Huntsville and Highland Church of Christ in Valrico. Mike worked with H.T. Hackney Company in Florida. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and EAA. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Whitt and his son, Charlie Whitt. Survived by his wife, Jackie Tripp Whitt; children: Michael Whitt, Kathreen Lau, Samantha and Alex Whitt; brother, James Whitt; sisters: Margaret, Mary and Rosie along with several nieces and nephews. Johnson, Edith Marie (Kitty) - born July 6, 1930 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Mary Elizabeth) Johnson of Lenoir City, TN, made her transition from earth to heaven on May 8, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Sterling Johnson. She was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church. Gerald W. Keilholtz, age 93, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Baptist Health Care Center. He was born August 7, 1912 in West Chester, PA to Watson H. and Bessie Wollens Keilholtz. Gerald was a graduate of Oxford High, Class of 1931. He graduated from Lincoln University in 1935 with a B. A. Degree. He had teaching fellowships both at the University of Utah for a M. A. Degree and Oregon State University with a PhD. in Chemistry and Physics in 1935, and acted as an Assistant Professor. Gerald did Post Graduate work at Columbia University, Brooklyn Poly-Tech and the University of Tennessee. He was Visiting Professor for night classes at the University of Tennessee and Knoxville College for Graduate students. He did professional work at General Chemical Co. in New York in Fluorine Chemistry and Sylvania Electric Co. in Fluorescent Lighting. Gerald transferred to Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, TN in 1948 where he became a Senior Scientist with 30 years experience. He consulted for 4 years at the Information Center at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He had projects with ORNL which included Isotope Analysis, Radiation Testing of high temperature materials, Environmental Statements, Storage and Retrieval of Technical Information. He had done 65 reports and publications, plus 3 patents in fluorescent lighting and gas analysis. Gerald married Barbara Jackson in Swamscott, Massachusetts on June 22, 1946. He is survived by three daughters, Candace K. Ence, Carol K. Michel and Michelle K. Brown; grandson, Devan Keilholtz Ence and granddaughters, Katherine Keil McGee, Kristen R. White, Buddy Joe, age 46, (5/31/59) of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at home. Preceded in death by his father, James (Jim) White; and mother, Bobbie Sue White. Survived by his wife, Linda White; son, Billy (Scooter) White of Florida; and daughter, Chantelle Seguin of Lenoir City; survived by brothers and sisters, Sue (Glen) McCurry of Loudon, Jimmy (Janice) White of Decatur, Robert White of Knoxville, Jane Donovan of Florida, Kathy (James) Nobles of North Carolina, Ann (Bruner) Akins of Unitia, Lynn (Misti) White of Lenoir City; his beloved nephew R. L. McCurry and many more nephews & nieces. He is also survived by his best friend Ronnie Arwood of Loudon. Although Joe struggled with heart problems since his teens he loved working as a roofer. Joe loved children and would often be found right down on the floor playing along with them. Joe was avid collector of knives, toys & R. C. cars. He enjoyed a good day of fishing, was always willing to help and fix things, loved volunteering at Goodwill and was an Andy Griffith fan. Kenneth E. "Robbie" Robinson, age 75, of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Robbie served in law enforcement for a total of 44 years with 14 years as bailiff in the Knox County Court System and retired as a Lieutenant with the Knoxville City Police Department with 31 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church Concord. Robbie was a member of the Knoxville City FOP. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Maude Robinson; brothers, Paul, Claude and Herbert Robinson. Survivors: wife of 47 years, Frances Easterday Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mark Scott; grandchildren, Brittany, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Cameron and Hudson Scott; brother, Eugene and James Robinson all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Armin Hadrovic, age 20 of Knoxville, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday May 9, 2006 after a fatal car accident. Armin was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Hercegovina. He was a graduate of West High School Class of 2005. He loved to play soccer and basket ball. Armin worked at PBR in the Northwest Industrial Park. He was of the Muslim faith. Armin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Asima Ajdinovic and Nezaheta Muharemovic of Bosnia. Bill loved horses and was very active in the Walking Horse Association. Julia "Gram" McLean, age 79, of Knoxville went home to be with her Heavenly Father the morning of May 13, 2006. Gram was a loving wife and mother who possessed a love for cooking, baking and gardening, that brought joy to the hearts and souls of family and friends. She unselfishly gave to everyone and expected nothing in return. Her absence will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. McLean and daughter, Susan P. McLean. Survived by daughter, Wendy A. McLean; only granddaughter, Amy P. Maynard; son, Robert L. McLean and wife, Robbie; all of Knoxville; sisters, Tillie Salitsky and husband George, Anna Terpak; brothers, Alex Boris and wife Anna, Paul Boris and wife Peggy all of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Monday at the Click Funeral Home Hardin Valley Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ray Watson officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to family friend, Lois Griffin (Angel #1), Covenant Home Health Care Providers, Kellie, Shannon and Lori, and also to Judy Page and Frankie Vandergriff of Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service.
