Wells, Dora Rose Davis, age 91, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 at Baptist West Hospital. She was born October 22, 1913 in the Laurel Bluff Community in Roane County. Dora accepted Jesus as her Savior early in life and was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God, Lenoir City. She is preceded in death by parents, Jim and Nora Moore Davis; infant daughter, Faye; sons, Dana (Jack), Joe and Bob; brothers, Robert, Arvis and Clyde Davis; sisters, Molly Brummitt and Maude Brewster. Breen, Willie Lee Kittrell - age 74, Sun Set on Earth is Sun Rise in Heaven, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004. Miami Beach, Florida was her home for 29 years. She was formerly from Loudon. Zabelka, Betty Elizabeth Martin, age 70, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2004 at Loudon Health Care Center. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Preceded in death by parents, Mitchell and Katie Martin; brother, Walter Martin; sister, Hazel Martin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Victor and Christine Zabelka. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Victor M. Zabelka Jr.; children, Victor Zabelka of Marengo, Ill and Debra Wakid of Danvers, Ill.; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Woody Martin of Lenoir City and Ronny Martin of Loudon; sister, Lois Edmonds of Chapin, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Jean Wood Stevens, 88, of Chattanooga, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 24, 2004. Widow of the late Reverend W. Earle Stevens, Jr., she was the daughter of the late Capt. Burris D. Wood and Mrs. Marguerite Cope Wood. Her surviving family members include her three children and their families: Mrs. Stephen Cook of Knoxville, Mrs. Des Harper of Halesowen, England, and Dr. David Earle Stevens of Portland, Oregon; seven living grandchildren and two deceased, Emily Cook and Jonathan Stevens; sister-in-law, Ethel Wood, and cousin, Marilyn Cope, both of Dallas Texas; several surviving nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Jean was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Judson College in Alabama, The University of California at Los Angeles, and The University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Master's degree in English Literature. For several years, she taught high school English and French, and was a school librarian. During her years as a pastor's wife, she served as a children's Sunday School teacher, and as a ladies' adult Bible study teacher. Grateful thanks is extended to Baptist Health Care Center, Lenoir City, for their excellent and loving care of Mrs. Stevens during the last several months of her life. Services will be held in Chattanooga on Tuesday, December 7, in the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hwy 153 North, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may gather for visitation at 10:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m., and burial at 12:00 noon. Metzelder, Klaus, age 68, of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, passed away Tuesday evening, November 1, 2005. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City. Klaus was the former co-owner and operator of Metz & Kerchner Salon in Knoxville. Survivors include his wife, Gisela; son, Richard Metzelder and wife, Amanda of Lenoir City; grandson, Hayden Metzelder. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Father David Boettner will officiate. Lee, Robert W. (Bob), age 77, of Lenoir City, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 2, 2005 at the Parkwest Medical Center. Bob was a member of Central United Methodist Church and retired after 35 years of service from the Lenoir City Utilities Board. He was a member of the Unitia Lodge 295 F & AM, was a 33 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Kerbela Shrine Temple where he served on the Directors Staff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Willie Selvidge Lee. Moss, Kenneth Riley (VOL KEN), age 73, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Greer SC, went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, November 4, 2005 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Ken was retired from the insurance industry and most recently from AFLAC. He was an avid Tennessee football fan, painter, gardener, and loved to cook. Ken was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U S Navy aboard the Heavy Cruiser USS St. Paul. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Frances Brockman Moss; parents, R E Moss and Myrtle Cornwell Moss; brother, Raymond Moss; sisters, Edith Brown, Mozelle Freeman and Inez Satterfield. Wiggins, Joseph Claude, age 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Friday afternoon, November 4, 2005 at Baptist Hospital West. He was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church. He was a former engineer, having retired from Modine in Clinton. He previously worked as an engineer for Maremont, North Electric, General Electric, Lockheed and many others. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Zadie Auline Wiggins; parents, Bryan and Maggie Wiggins; brother, Fred Wiggins. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force were he served for 22 years. Carl was currently employed as a Planner with JRTC at Fort Polk. Wolfe, Horace Brunner, Jr. (USN Ret.), age 86, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday morning, November 7, 2005, at his home. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Horace retired from the United States Navy as Chief Warrant Officer II after a 30 career including service in the World War II “Pacific Theater” and Korean War. He was a member of the Naval Retired Officer’s Association, V.F.W. Post 5150 and American Legion Post 120. Horace was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha M. Wolfe; parents, Horace B. Wolfe Sr. and Bertha Kerr Wolfe; sister, Nellie Rickman and brother, Tommy Wolfe. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Beverly Sirmans; daughter, Glenda Marie Sirmans; grandson, Christopher "Dalton" Loveday. Conte, Dorothy Jeanette, age 66, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away Friday November 11, 2005 at her home. Jeanette was a member of the Tellico Village Community Church and was active in the Make A Wish Foundation and the Child Advocacy Center of the Ninth Judicial District of Tennessee, Inc. She was retired from the Law Firm of Petree and Stockton in Winston-Salem, NC where she was the Manager of Bookkeeping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thadd and Rebecca Freeland. Jeanette is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ed Conte; children, Cynthia Garwood Mitchell of Long Island, Steven Garwood of North Carolina, Darren Garwood of Ft. Griffitts, Jerry D., age 69, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2005. Jerry served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was an avid Nascar Fan, Hunter and Fisherman. He was preceded in death by parents, J. B. Griffitts and Bonnie Morgan; nephews, Steve McCallister and Timothy Bunnell. Survived by foster son, Omer (Tooter) Porter of Minnesota; sisters, Gayle McCallister of Lenoir City who was also his caregiver, Pat Bunnell and husband, Dick of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Ann Cothran. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Monday at Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens for graveside services with Rev. Carl Robinson officiating. Military honors will be conferred by VFW Post 5150, American Legion Post 120, 70 and 256. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Jerry D. Griffitts.

Watts, Ruth, age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005. She was a member of Cave Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Key and her brother, Paul Tallent. Ruth is survived by her children: Rosie Thomas and husband, Elden of Kingston, Clara Fletcher of Dayton, OH, Alan Watts and wife, Missy of Cosby; grandchildren: Crystal Sexton and husband, Jeremy, John Thomas and wife, Alicia, Janie Bell and husband, Delbert, Lindsay Fletcher, Brad Fletcher, Victoria Henry and husband, Jordan, Carly S.F. Watts; great-grandchildren, Nikki Thomas and Dustin Branson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cave Creek Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday before the service at the church. Rev. Bo Selvage and Rev. Jeremy Sexton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cave Creek Cemetery with Rev. Gary Breazeale officiating. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is serving the family of Ruth Watts.
