Dennison B. (Slick) Felty, age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday evening, November 25, 2007 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. Slick was honorably discharged from the U. S. Navy in 1945 with the rank of Seaman Second Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Spears Felty; parents, Melvin and Flora Felty; brothers, Hastwell (Hack) Felty, Bill Felty and Roy Felty. Survived by his sisters-in-law, Kay Felty Nichols of Lenoir City and Elsie Felty of McMinnville, TN; niece, Cindy Lusk and nephew, Harry Felty both of McMinnville, TN. Clyde E. Dotson, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at his home. Clyde was saved at the age of 11 and lived his life as a devout Christian. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Loudon. Clyde was a longtime home builder owning and operating Dotson Construction Company. He was a decorated veteran serving in W. W. II with the U. S. Army Air Corp. He was awarded a Purple Heart, 5 Silver Stars, 2 Bronze Star, the Silver Cross and Distinguished Battle Ribbons. Clyde was a member of Chota Masonic Lodge #253. He was an avid coon hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by parents, Ike and Ludie Dotson; granddaughter, Shannon Dotson; sister, Verna Brady and an infant sister. William Eugene (Bill) Moran, age 72, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Rochester, NY, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, November 29, 2007 in Knoxville. Bill was retired from Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester after 34 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U S Navy with a total of 26 years of active and reserve service. Bill was a member of the Eagles Club and the Redmans Club in Rochester, NY. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and loved to travel and garden. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, who was killed in World War II, Eugene M. Moran, mother, Emma M.Moran, brother, Loyd A. Moran. Retired from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill after 51 ½ years as a knitter. In Jessie's earlier years, she lived on a farm. Her hobbies were gardening, raising flowers, sewing, quilt making, and making crafts of all kinds. She loved to please people with crafts she made. After retiring, she cared for her invalid sister for 13 years. After the death of her sister, Jessie traveled to many different places. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hawkins Chapel. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Grove Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Tony Brock and Rev. Tony Curtis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made the Gideons, P. O. Box 862, Lenoir City, TN 37771 Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be conferred by VFW Post 5150 and American Legions Posts 120 and 70. Hawkins Chapel, 102 B Street, Lenoir City is serving the family of Robert A. Curtis.
