Loposser, Mable Currier, age 87, of Kingston, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 31, 2007. She was a member of New Midway Baptist Church in Kingston. Preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Lydia Currier; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Paul Pickel; brothers, Roy, Fred and Onnie; sisters, Lou Rene, Ella Mae, Pearl, Laurie and Mary. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Andy B. Tammy Long, age 47, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 31, 2007 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was a member of West Park Baptist Church and active with the Youth and her Sunday school class. She was preceded by father, Hubert Gordon Mullins. Tammy is survived by her husband of 23 years Jeff Long; son, Chase Long and daughter, Marybeth Long; mother, Mary Elizabeth Mullins: brothers, John and Ken Mullins; sisters, Connie Stanley, Tina Frazier, Debbie Robinette; and several nieces and nephews, special friends Lynn Hollingsworth, Cindy Cook and many other special and dear friends too numerous to mention. Betty Frances Perkins Price, age 76, of Lenoir City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Betty was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and retired from Allied Chemicals. Betty was an avid gardener. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Carl J. Price; baby daughter, Betty Jane; father and mother, H.H. and Jessie Perkins; brothers and sisters, Judith, Willie Mae, Alice, Patsy, Earl, J. T., Harvey, Frank, Jimmy, Troy and Roy. Donnelly, John S., of Loudon and formerly of Mt. Clemens, Michigan died Monday, September 1, 2003 peacefully at home after a one year battle with cancer. He was born October, 19, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of James Patrick and Katherine Healy Donnelly. Mr. Donnelly was a WWII Army Veteran who was a POW in Germany before being liberated in 1945. He was employed by Sears Roebuck for 44 years before retiring in 1983. He was a founding member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon. Before moving to TN in 1994, he was an elder and 25 year member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Mt. Clemens, MI. He also was very active in the Fishers of Men evangelism program at St. Luke's. Mr. Donnelly loved doing yard work and barbecuing. On August 14, 1954, he married Betty Garzoni Brocco, who survives. Also surviving are his three children, David (Georganna) Brocco of Sterling Heights, MI, Lori (Raymond) Romanetti of McMurray, PA and James (Michele) Donnelly of Farragut; six grandchildren, Chris and Andrew Brocco, Hannah and Katherine Donnelly and Danielle and Michael Romanetti; two great-granddaughters, Bailey and Sage Brocco; and sister, Katherine Reesor of Florida. Wayman, Robert Hall, age 66, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003. He was preceded in death by parents, Maude and Austin Wayman; brother, Charles Wayman; infant son, Kenny; and nephew, Mike Glenn. He is survived by his companion and soul mate, Sharry Latham Fannin and her family; other surviving family members, Charlotte Dunkerly, Howard Wayman, Michal Snavely Wayman, Jerry Glenn and family; children, Cynthia, Scott, Sann and their families; several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him for to know him was to be touched by him and his zest for life. Longhurst, Joy E., age 73, of West Knoxville, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 2, 2003 at Park West Hospital. Joy was a retired RN and a master gardener. Survivors: husband of 51 years, Philip Longhurst Jr.; daughter Suzanne E. Wilson of Lewis, CO; son, Philip James Longhurst LMT of Knoxville; grandchildren, Alexandra Joy Wood, Kyle Philip Wood both of Knoxville, GA; brothers, Heyward S. Pullium of NC and Hal H. Pullium of TX; sisters, Faith P. Watts of GA and Hope Pullium of KY; numerous nieces and nephews. Sherwood, Frances Pauline Smith Lovelace age 84, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003 in Seminole, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Carl Abel and Lula Whitlock Smith of the Wheat Community in what is now Oak Ridge. Frances was a life long member of the Southern Baptist Church. She was presently a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church. Her varied experiences included attending Lincoln Memorial University at Harrogate where she obtained a Permanent Professional Teacher's Certificate in 1938. After teaching five years in Roane County, she joined the U. S. Navy as a WAVE Officer Candidate in 1943. At the time of her release to inactive duty in 1946, she had attained the rank of Lieutenant, Senior Grade. Upon her release from the service, she married William Lovelace. During the years just following her marriage she used the G. I. Bill of Rights, returned to the University of Tennessee where in 1952, she received her B. A. Degree with emphasis on Childhood Education. During her elementary education days, she became affectionately known as "Framework Frances" because of her skill in the art of diagramming sentences. Her marriage to William Lovelace lasted 41 years. During that time, a son, Joe David was born. Mr. Lovelace succumbed to cancer in 1978. Five years later, she married Rev. E. M. Sherwood, a retired Baptist minister whom she had known 55 years earlier. This marriage ended in March 2000 with the death of Rev. Sherwood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sherwood was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Carl Joe Smith, George W. Smith, Murrell Eugene Smith and Bobby Thurman Smith and one sister, Ruth Womack. She is survived by her son, Joe David Lovelace, his wife, Marie Palumbo Lovelace; and granddaughter, Ashley Marie Lovelace all of Seminole, Fl.;granddaughter, Angela Marie Lovelace of Washington, DC; and grandson, Michael David Lovelace of Hyattsville, MD; sisters, Peggy Curton of Knoxville, Mary Clyde Husky of Georgia; many nieces, nephews and cousins; stepchildren, Wilma Conder and her husband, Rev. Ernest Conder, Phyllis Cain, Everette M. Sherwood Jr. and his wife, Jan all of whom live in the Knoxville area and Stephen Sherwood and his wife, Audrey of Miami, Fl.; 5 step-grandchildren and spouses; 5 great step-grandchildren. Halgowich, Barbara Ann Moe, age 60, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003, at the Park West Hospital. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. Barbara was a professional driver, a wonderful homemaker, and a great listener to all. She was known as Nanny to all who knew her. Preceded in death by daughter, Donna Lynn; parents, Robert and Anne Wilmot; and sister, Debra Osbourne. She is survived by her husband, Paul Halgowich; sons, William Stephan Moe Jr. and wife, Lorraine of Wilmington, N.C. and Jonathan David Moe of Lenoir City; daughter, Diane Lynn and husband, Robert Gehrig of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Dustin Holt, Kimberly Yeoman and Kelly Moe; sister, Brenda Cibulis; brother, Charles Wilmot both of Connecticut; several nieces and nephews. Tipton, R. C., age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at N. H. C. Healthcare. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II. R. C. was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He retired from Scovill Manufacturing. He had worked at the K-25 and Y-12 Plants in Oak Ridge. R. C. had also worked at Ceil Heat. He was a founding member and served on the board of directors of The Good Samaritan Center in Lenoir City where he was a dedicated volunteer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ada Parsons Tipton and brother, Garnett Smith. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Tipton; daughters, Judy Monger and husband, Horace, Jeanne Tuck and husband, Mike; son, Jerry Tipton all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Tara Tuck,. Robbie Monger, Shawn Tuck, Mark Monger and Lisa Mainor; brother, Carlos Smith of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. Joyner, Harry Mitchell, Jr., age 74, of Concord passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Parkwest Hospital. Mitchell was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and the Special Studies Sunday School Class. He was a member and past master of Chota Lodge 253 F&AM. Mitchell was a retired stone mason. Survivors: children, Lynn Mitchell Joyner of Nashville, Doris Joyner of Knoxville, Harry Joyner and wife Patricia of Florida; grandchildren, Harry Mitchell Joyner III, Lillian Catherine Joyner McCullough, and special friend Nelle Strange of Knoxville. Clements, Carl R., age 70, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Carl was a veteran of the Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Carl owned and operated Trade Secret Stores in several Michigan Malls. He was a member of Gull Lake Country Club in Michigan and was an avid golfer. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Sally Clements; daughters, Cindy Clements, Colleen Kotarak and husband, Larry, Rene Burnett and husband, Charles, Meg Van Ravenswaay and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Gavin, Sebrina, and Morgan. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with Father David Boettner officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Broyles, Elzetta (Lettie) passed away on the morning of August 30, 2003 while residing at The Neighborhood in Tellico Village. A loving mother, she is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graduating from nurses training at Mount Carmel Hospital (under the supervision of Holy Cross nuns) in Columbus, Ohio in 1945, she served as a registered nurse for 40 years in Ohio, Missouri, California, and Pennsylvania. Her oldest son Michael, and his wife, Linda are residents of Tellico Village. Patrick lives in Manhattan, Kansas. Timothy and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Tamara Hall, the youngest and only daughter, lives with her husband, Ric in Gallup, New Mexico. A memorial service honoring Lettie will take place Friday, September 5th, 2003 at 11 a.m. in her church, The Christian Church of Loudon County at 12210 Martel Road in Lenoir City, Tennessee.

Patton, Mason Cash (Pat), age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Pat was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of VPI and was a veteran of the Army Air Corp in World War II. Pat was retired after 26 years of service with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. He enjoyed the water and spent many hours on Ft. Loudon Lake. Survivors: wife of 28 years, Patricia Patton; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jerry Whitus of Dallas, TX; son, James Patton of Tulsa, OK; step daughters and husbands, Cindy and Raymond Hughes, Donna and Steve Plumlee; grandson, Carl Ford; mother-in-law, Viola Sherlin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becki and Gibbs Hammond, all of Knoxville. LaMaster, Rickye Lynn, age 49, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday September 4, 2003 at her home after a lengthy illness. Rickye Lynn was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rick and Mary Hill. Selvidge, Sasha Marie Lovell - age 29 of the Karns Community in Knoxville, TN. passed away suddenly Friday evening, September, 5, 2003. She was a former employee of Solway Fruit Market. Sasha is survived by her husband, Wayne; her three children: Joshua, Jennifer and Jamie; father, Garney H. Lovell Jr. of Knoxville; mother, Gail Ann Inman of Claxton; brother, Garney H. Thomas, Barbara (Jewell), age 77, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, September 8, 2003 at the N H C Farragut Healthcare. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Jewell enjoyed painting at the Senior Citizen's Center in Loudon. She was an avid gardener and cook. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert E. Thomas; children: Charles Robert (Bob) Thomas and wife Lee of Cumming, Ga., Linda Scarbrough and husband, Neal of Lenoir City, David Thomas and wife, Wanda of Aiken, S.C. and J. R. Thomas and wife, Brenda of Lenoir City; grandchildren: Jennifer Switzer, Brian Thomas, Karen Hurst and Allison Scarbrough; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Bledsoe, Doris Augusta Swecker, age 81, of the Choto Community, Knoxville, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 9, 2003, at Baptist Hospital West. Doris was the last surviving Trustee that formed Chota Presbyterian Church, which is now known as Community Bible Church. She was a very loving and giving lady who was adored by her family and friends. Doris was always generous and gave back to the community as well as to religious charities. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, John F. and Tricia Bledsoe of Ten Mile, Woodrow P. and Marti Bledsoe of Townsend, Dale D. and Deborah Bledsoe of Knoxville; daughter, Gail E. She was preceded in death by parents, M. C. Miller Sr. and Annie Rose Miller; husband, J. W. Warren; special nephew, Jack Niles; and brother-in-law, Elmer Harrill. Moore, Gladys Virginia Fielder, age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the Loudon Hospital. She was born in Georgia, December 10, 1921 to Mary Lee and George Mosley Fielder. Gladys was of the Baptist faith. She loved to play the harmonica and go to flea markets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt E. Moore; parents; sisters, Pauline Baker, Margie Baker, Ruth Fincher and Billie White; brother, R. C. Fielder. Survived by children, Nancy Craig and husband, James of Lenoir City, Dennis E. Moore and wife, Diane of Gray, TN and Donald Moore and wife, Janice of Lenoir City; sister, Kitty Camp of Eastman, Ga.; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Family and friends will gather at Click Funeral Home by 10:30 a.m. Saturday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m.

Mark, Myrtle Martin, age 89, of Knoxville, formerly of Montgomery County, VA, went to be with Jesus on Friday morning, September 12, 2003 at Park West Hospital. Myrtle was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, Oscar and Folette Martin; sister, Iva Scott. Survivors: daughter, Jean Tavenner of Knoxville; 3 granddaughters; 2 great grandsons; sisters, Violet Jennings and Kluster Ronk both of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Allen Martin of Atwater, OH; several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 21 at 3 p.m. at the Woodlawn Christian Church with Mr. Charles Beckett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 900 East Hill Avenue, Suite 240, Knoxville, TN 37915.
