Johnston, Mary Elizabeth Nichols, age 85, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday evening, September 10, 2005. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was retired from Viskase in Loudon. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Hasson Johnston; parents, J.F. and Lillie Hanley Nichols; brothers: Hubert, Horace, Ralph, Jim and Boyd Nichols; sister, Nora Everette. Eilertsen, Peter Kenneth (Ken), age 67, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Ocala, FL and Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2005 after a short illness. Ken was a Flight Captain in the U S Air Force serving in the Vietnam War and was retired as pilot from TWA with 23 2 years of service. He was Treasurer of the Breathe Clean Air Action Team (BCAAT). Survivors: wife, Nellie R. Eilertsen; sister, Kirsten E. Liebhaber of McLean, VA; nephew, Richard L. Liebhaber of Alexandria, VA; 3 step-sons, William, Robert and Thomas Findlay; seven step-grandchildren. Branstetter, Roger, age 55, of Farragut went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Park West Hospital after a short illness. Roger was of the Baptist faith. He was an employee of Mag USA in Clinton. He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed wood working and took pride in all his endeavors. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving in Korea and Germany during the Vietnam War. Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearlie and Josie Branstetter, Sam and Sarah McCartt; a infant sister and 3 infant brothers; special friend, David Leath; father-in-law, James P. McFalls. Haden, Cerine Lee Thornton, age 51, of Farragut passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her sleep Thursday morning, September 22, 2005 at her home. Cerine was born in Sacramento, CA and was reared in Akron OH. She was a respected member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and was in training to be a Stephen Minister. She was a graduate of Barroness Erlanger School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse with Knox County Schools. She was a member of Chattanooga Lafayette Emmaus Community and an avid student of the mandolin and guitar. Cerine was a faithful wife and a loving mother. Her love of people made her a gifted care-giver and friend to so many. She was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Verine Nutter and grandfather, Lawrence Thornton, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ken Haden; daughters, Rachel Enika Haden and Stacey Ann Haden all of Farragut; father, Lawrence Thornton Jr.; mother, Irene Thornton; sisters, Mary Ann Tomasik all of Akron, OH and Brenda Hafley of Chattanooga; brothers, Richard Thornton, Lawrence Thornton III and wife Mary; grandmother, Opal Thornton; brother-in-law, Rod Nutter all of Akron, OH; sister-in-law, Judy Browner of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews. Haynes, Mary Matilda, age 85, of Farragut, formerly of Lisle, IL, went to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2005. Mary had attended Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church with her daughter Candace Evans. She was a wonderful wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary enjoyed sewing, painting, sketching and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lawrence Glenn Haynes. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City and the IBEW, AFL-CIO Local Union #760 in Knoxville. Jim was retired from the Lenoir City Utility Board after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Skidmore; son, Sammy (Jabber) Skidmore; parents, Charlie and Addie Skidmore along with several brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Cecila Jane Click Tilley. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Lakeshore Hospital after 27 years of service. Most of all, Annette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edith Baker; sisters, Jeanette Ensor and Phyllis Rose Breeden. Pickel, Peggy A. Loposser- age 62, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday September 26, 2005, at the Loudon Healthcare Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Peggy was a member of New Midway Baptist Church of Kingston where she kept the nursery for many years. She retired from Yale Security after 38 years of service and was a graduate of Roane County High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Paul Pickel; mother and father-in-law, Erma and Walter Pickel. Peggy is survived by her son, Donnie Pickel and his wife, Kathy of Knoxville; daughter, Nancy Wells and her husband, Jamie of Lenoir City; grandsons: Josh and Jeff Wells and Damon Pickel; parents, Andy and Mable Loposser of Kingston; brothers, Ben Loposser and wife, Sharon of Kingston and Jim Loposser and wife, Charlotte of Lenoir City, several nieces and nephews. Munsey, Jack Harley MSG. U. S. Army ret., age 75, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Jack served in the United States Army honorably for 25 years, with the 4th Armored Div. and the 8th Infantry Div. in Korean, Japan, Vietnam and Germany, receiving 2 Bronze Stars, one with a “V” for valor and the Army Commendation medal. He enjoyed for many years teaching his beloved Tanks and Engines to younger soldiers at the NCO Academy in Germany and then later at the Armored Div. School in Fort Knox, KY. MSG.
