Healey, Kevin Michael, age 44, of Knoxville, formerly of Melbourne, FL passed away Friday, February 2, at his home. Kevin was employed as a painter. He attended the Church of God Union Assembly. Moore, William Dyris, age 67, of 702 West 4th Avenue, Lenoir City passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at his home. Dyris was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. Phyllis was a member of Martel United Methodist Church and was an avid square dancer. Hyde, Ralph W., age 70, of Friendsville passed away Tuesday evening, February 6, 2001 at the V. A. Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was a retired truck driver. Ralph was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by his wife, Jackie June Hyde; father, Theodore Hyde; mother, Bertie Dillon Hyde; and step-mother, Helen Hyde. Frank was past commander and was active in the American Legion and the 40et8. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenna Stanley in 1983. Kerley, Lawrence Paul (Booge), age 84, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday morning, February 11, 2001 at the Park West Medical Center. Booge was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He was a retired custodian with Lenoir City schools. Booge was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army as a mechanical instructor. He was a member of Avery Lodge # 593 F&AM, Knoxville Shriners and a 32nd degree Mason. Booge was a member of the Associaton of Antique Cars. He and his dog Mutt participated in many area parades. Booge was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. D. C. Kerley and Lou Etta Bolt Kerley; brother, Buster Kerley; sisters, Agnes Butcher and Lucille Shubert. Williams, Elsie Dodson (Mamaw), age 87, of West Knoxville, passed away quietly at 2:15 p.m., Sunday afternoon, February 11, 2001, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Dennis Nabors, in Lenoir City. Mamaw was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on September 15, 1913 in Lancing Tennessee to Ed and Ethel Allison Dodson, and was the last of their 9 children. Mamaw was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church. Although Mamaw will be sadly missed by those she leaves behind, they know she is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord and awaiting loved ones. Mamaw was preceded in death by husbands, Clyde Haun and Davis (Papaw) Williams; daughters, Helen Haun Goscinski, and Reba Haun Carmine. Russell, Fred Freeman, age 84, of Loudon, passed away suddenly Saturday evening February 17, 2001 at his home. Freeman was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Loudon and had been attending Loudon United Methodist Church and the Mens Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II. A former guard with TVA and former sheriff of Loudon County serving during 1954-1958 and 1968-1974. He oversaw many famous cases and was often pictured in newspapers and written about in detective magazines. A member of Tennessee Masonic Lodge 204, York & Scottish Rites, Kerbela Temple, Lions Club, American Legion Post 120 and VFW Post 5150 and the Republican Party. He was preceded in death by his son, Freeman Ralphard Russell; parents, John M. and Sarah Rhynes Russell; grandson, Robert Russell Collins; brothers: John B. Russell, Nelce Russell, Clarence Russell, Ray Russell, Howard Russell, Malcolm Russell and Roya Russell; sister, Drothea Russell. Doug attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City, TN and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lancaster, CA. He was a graduate of Quartz Hill High School in Quartz Hill, CA. Doug served with the U.S. Army Airborne Division in Fort Bragg for four years. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America and the Auto Cross Racing Club. Doug loved water skiing, snow skiing and was interested in radio controlled cars. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annette Elizabeth Sefic; grandfather Paul V. Daley; grandmother, Virginia Koziol Sefic. Burrell, Ray David, Jr. age 25 of West Knoxville passed away Monday morning at Baptist Hospital. David was a member of Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Snodderly, Ruth Greenway, age 77, of Lenoir City passed away Monday evening, February 19, 2001 at the Loudon Health Care Center. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was a faithful pastor’s wife and was very active in the churches where her husband, Rev. Effert Snodderly pastored. Ruth led Acteens, G. A.’s and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a graduate of Carson Newman College. She had taught Fifth Grade in the North Carolina School System for 19 years. Ruth was very active in the Women’s Missionary Organization. Her interests were in her family and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lula Greenway; and sister, Marie Pickard. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rev. Effert Snodderly; sons, Norman Snodderly & wife, Belinda of Concord, N.C., and Michael E. Snodderly & wife, Patricia of Morristown, TN.; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; brother, Howard Greenway of New Ellington, S. C.; and several nieces & nephews. III Young, James Stewart, age 57 of Loudon, passed away February 20, 2001 at the Ft. Sanders Loudon Hospital. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Hurt, Gary, age 62, of Knoxville, formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at Ft. Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. Gary was a member of First Farragut United Methodist Church. He had recently retired from Aztex Enterprises. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Gary Jack and Lillian Hurt. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Judy O. Hurt; son, Charles M. Hurt of Cincinnati, Ohio; cousins, Amma Barnes, William C. Hurt, and Clayton Hurt.
