She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Grindstaff; step son, Dennis Wolever; Survivors: husband, Lynn Wallace; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Billy Hucklebee of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Pam Lewis of Loudon, Bobby King of the home; step daughters and son-in-law, Glenda and Randy Ogle of Walland, Tracy Wallace of Florida; several grandchildren and step grandchildren; mother, Leone Grindstaff; brother, C. DeArmond, Albert Curtis (Abb), age 84 of Farragut passed away Friday afternoon December 29, 2000 at Park West Hospital Abb was a member of the Dixie Lee Baptist Church, the Farragut Ruritan Club, and the First Families of Tennessee. He was an employee of Charles H. Bacon Co., Loudon, Tennessee from 1939 - 1959, self-employed businesses of Farragut Gulf and American Services Stations in Farragut and contract school bus services for Knox County school system until retirement in 1978. Preceded in death by parents, David Leander and Sarah Brown DeArmond. Sisters: Flora Blair, Ida Houston, Bess Hammonds, Ruby Bobbit Hendren; brothers: Luther David DeArmond and Bruce DeArmond. Survivors: wife, Nora Harbin DeArmond; daughter, Margaret Reynolds; son-in-law, Dr. C. Lentz Reynolds, Jr.; grand-daughter, Lisa Shanahan and husband, Daniel; all of Lookout Mountain, TN; grandson, Lentz Reynolds III of Chattanooga, TN; great-granddaughter, Tara Margaret; and great-grandson, Torin Daniel Shanahan, all of Lookout Mountain, TN; brothers and sisters-in laws: Lillian Harbin, Rockwood, TN; Anna Mary Harbin, Montgomery, AL; Ruby Taylor Harbin, Knoxville and numerous nieces and nephews, F. Wright, Gladys Fritts, age 79 of Roswell, Ga. Formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday December 31, 2000, in the North Fulton Hospital in Roswell. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Corbett and Effie Fritts; brothers, James L. and Kenneth L. Fritts. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Richard (Dick) Wright; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia W. and Steve C. Strawderman of Marietta; nephew, Stephen L. Mae was a member of Morganton Baptist Church in Greenback but attended Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Gordon Bivens. He was a former Lenoir City Policeman and Police Chief with 11 years of service. An employee of Ingles in Sweetwater. He also served with the Army. Donald Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Blanche Cavett Watkins. Survivors: Daughter, Donette Watkins of Kansas. Gray, Shirley Reed, age 74, of Lenoir City, formerly of Richville New York, passed away Thursday December 2, 1999 at the home of her son. Shirley was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut . She was born June 14, 1925 in Alexandria Bay New York to Walter and Frances MacDonald Reed. She graduated from Redwood High School class of 1942 in Red Wood New York and the A. Barton Hepburn Nursing School Class of 1945. She was married to Arthur Leonard Gray on November 10, 1945 and was preceded in death by him on January 9, 1990. Shirley was a private duty nurse for many years. She and her husband owned and operated A. Leonard Gray Auctioneering and Real Estate and the Gray Homestead Dairy Farm in Richville New York. She also worked as a social worker for the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services in the child protection unit from 1968 until 1982. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Lynn and Janice Gray of Lenoir City, Eric Leonard and Denise Gray of Acworth Georgia. Daughters and sons-in-law, Sonia Gail Davis of Pensacola Florida, Linda Jane and Charles Pecchio of Acworth Georgia. 17 grandchildren. 8 great grandchildren. Ellen was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was a member of the Ladies of Charity for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Kenny. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, F. Dennis and Betty Kenny of Memphis, B. Fegan and Dana Kenny of Knoxville, Patrick B. and Christy Kenny of Lenoir City. Edgemon, Kathleen Rowe (Kathy), age 56, of Concord passed away quietly Tuesday afternoon December 7, 1999 at Park West Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Kathy attended Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. A loyal member of the Park West Forty Club. Kathy was an interior decorator and owner of Sun Dance Interiors. She worked with many charitable events and especially loved, and was involved in, the Fort Loudon Special Kids Christmas Party. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Rowe. She leaves behind her loving family: Husband of 36 years, Randy C. Edgemon. Owen, Roderick E. (Pete), age 71, of Crossville, TN. passed away Tuesday evening, December 7, 1999 at U. T. Medical Center. Pete and Jean moved from New York State to Crossville in 1984. He was of the Methodist Faith. A retired meat cutter and he worked with the bridge division with New York State thruway. Pete was a veteran of U. S. Air Force serving in W. W. II. A lifetime D. A. V. member. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by his parents, Forrest E. Sr. and Lavina Chase Owen; brothers, Forrest E. Owen Jr. and Thomas Owen. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, B. Shipwash, Ambrose Jones, age 90, of 680 Pinecrest Circle Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday afternoon December 8, 1999 at Park West Hospital. Ambrose was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A veteran of World War II serving with the Army Airborne Divison as a glider pilot. Ambrose was an employee of Charles H. Bacon and Standard Knitting Mills for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Alma Linginfelter Shipwash,in March 17, 1991. Lanham, Ruby T., age 86, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday evening, December 9,1999, at the Baptist Health Care Center. Ruby was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Oliver A. Lanham. Son, Donald A. Lanham and sister, Evelyn Pemberton. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in- law; Paul and Dorothy Lanham of Lenoir City, Oliver and Phyllis Lanham of Raleigh, N.C., and Art and Donna Lanham of West Monroe, LA Twelve grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. .Sisters; Aileen Gilbert of Miamisburg, OH., Vera Ball of Lenoir City, and Ruth Asbury of Waynesville, OH. Dishner, Willis Lee (Fisher), age 80, of the Cave Creek Community passed away early Friday, December 10, 1999 at his home surrounded by his family. Willis was born October 23, 1919 in Loudon Co. He was a well known and respected member of the community. He worked on the railroad for forty years until his retirement. He had been self-employed until this past year. A member of New Providence Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grace (Ditmer) Dishner. Parents, Ernest and Pearl (Reynolds) Dishner. Three brother and four sisters. He is survived by his brother Mr. and Mrs. Freeman (Russ) Dishner of Lenoir City. Sisters, Josephine Denzel of Dayton Ohio, Mr. And Mrs. Jack (Sis) Lee of Lenoir City; Children; Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Dollena) Buckley of Peoria, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dishner of Logansport, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Karen) Martin of Lake Placid, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Nettie Mae) Bosworth of Loudon Co. Grandson Brandon Dishner who lived with him and fourteen other grandchildren. Sixteen great- grandchildren also survive. Willis loved his wife and family unconditionally as they were a very important part of his life. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Dogwood Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Caldwell Sr. officiating. Hartsook, David A., age 57, of Farragut passed away Wednesday morning December 15, 1999. David was a long time auctioneer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jesse Pickel Hartsook. Sister, Ruth Hartsook Smith. Brothers, Van, Jim, Ikey Tom, Lynn and Gene Hartsook. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Marti and Randy Fletcher of Farragut. Granddaughters, Lucinda and Natalie Fletcher. Several nieces and nephews. Special care givers, Mary Henry of Farragut, Pam Hartsook Graves, Ike Hartsook Jr., Harry Hartsook and Casey Hartsook. A private graveside service will be held Friday at the Loudon County Memorial Gardens Rev. Ernie Varner and Rev. Johnny Garner officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dream Connection % Ed Brantley, P.O. Box 11167, Knoxville, Tn. 37939.The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Johnston, James Stanley, age 50 of 2300 Blue Tick Lane, Lenoir City passed away early Thursday morning December 16, 1999 at U.T. Hospital. Stanley was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and the Oak Ridge Coon Hunting Club. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the Army 125th Infantry Division and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Johnston. Brothers, Don and Butch Johnston. Survivors: wife, Brenda Patty Johnston. Daughter, Amy Johnston. Mother and step father, Ina Mae and John Williams all of Lenoir City. Brothers and sister-in-law, Clyde and Geraldine Johnston, Darrell and Debbie Johnston all of Knoxville. Sisters and brother-in-law, Anita and Dude Crowder of Shelbyville, Robin Williams of Knoxville. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Magnolia Patty of Knoxville. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Connie and Chris Greene of Lenoir City. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services 2 P.M. Saturday Click Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Mark King and Rev. Royce Carlyle officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Brown, Andy Earl, age 90, of 708 A Street Lenoir City passed away Wednesday evening December 15, 1999. Earl was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God for over fifty years and the Mens Senoir Adult Sunday School Class. He was a Trustee, a bus driver and a faithful worker with the Junior Sunday School Department for many years. He was retired from Charles H. Bacon with over 45 years of service. Earl was an avid farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Pearl Brown. Son, Edward J. Brown. Parents, Henry and Laura Wallace Brown. Several brothers. Survivors: Son, Bobby L Brown with whom he made his home. Daughter-in-law, Betty Phelps Brown of Lenoir City. Grandchildren, L.Benjamin Brown and wife, Cynthia of Riverton Utah, Cynthia and Rev. Johnny Garren of Lenoir City. Great grandson, Jesse Garren. Sisters, Effie Lindner of LaPort Indiana and Martha Ladd of Cobb Georgia. Brother, Johnny Brown of La Port Indiana. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 P.M. Friday followed by funeral services at 8 P.M. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Ernie Varner and Rev. Johnson, Charlie, age 73, of Lenoir City, Tn., formerly of Floyd County Kentucky, passed away Friday moring December 17, 1999 at Park West Hospital in Knoxville Tn. Charlie was a member and deacon of Friendship Baptist Church in Lenoir City. A veteran of World War II serving with the Navy. He was preceded in death by father, Frank Johnson. Brothers, Robert and Bill Johnson. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Haywood Johnson. Daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Danny Myers, Lovella and David McKinnon all of Statham Ga. Mother, Cindy Sloan Johnson of Loudon Tn. Grandchildren, Jessica and Cody Myers, Marty Spruill and Tommy Spruill. Sisters, Alice Johnson Hicks, Pokie Johnson Vineyard, Della Johnson Ousley and twin sister, Goldie Johnson Flanery. Brothers, Alec Johnson of Ohio, Ruben Johnson of Lenoir City. Smith, Mary Jewell Lee, age 91, of Lenoir City, passed away early Sunday morning December 19, 1999 in Bedford Texas. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lloyd (Dick) Smith in 1981. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Katheryn and Gerald Maddex of Bedford Texas. Son, Robert Smith of Dayton Ohio. Grandchildren, Donnie, Bob, Don, Tony, Craig and Sekena. 7 great grandchildren. Flanagan, Glenn Earl, age 69, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday morning December 19, 1999 at his home. Glenn was a member of Hensleys Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and Loudon V F W # 5150. A veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the Army. He was retired from Maremont Corp. with 25 years of service. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Burton Flanagan and Nina Pearl Hobbs Flanagan. Survivors: wife of 43 years, Barbara (Bobbie) Wiggins Flanagan. Sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kay Flanagan of Loudon, Randy Flangan of Lenoir City. Grandchildren, Chris and Lori. Sisters and brother-in-law, Grace Flanagan Noce and Leon of Farragut, Bernice Flanagan Kelley of Lenoir City. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 P.M.
