Ivey, Sue Amanda Cox, age 93, of Farragut passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at Farragut Health Care Center. She was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A lifelong resident of the Farragut Community. She graduated from Farragut High School in 1928. Preceded in death by husband, James Luther Ivey; parents, J. J. Cox and Julia Hedgecock Cox; brother, Edward Cox; sister, Elizabeth Cox McGill. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Mary Ivey; granddaughters and husbands, Susan and Dr. Stephen Johnston, Lisa and Rodney Godwin, granddaughter, Diane Gregg; sister Minnie Cox Wilkerson; great granddaughter, Kristin Johnston; great grandsons, Andrew Godwin, Brian Godwin, Kirk Johnston, Russell Gregg, and Travis Gregg; several nieces and nephews. Hollingshead, Dorothy Jane Kirk of Lenoir City, September 19, 1924-April 5, 2002. On this day, our mother left us. She was preceded in death by her most wonderful husband, Ralph and a sister, Ruth. She leaves behind, her daughters, Judy Kriger and husband, Michael and Janet Hollingshead, we will miss her. We cry and grieve, but we also rejoice in knowing she’ll be with our Fathers- our birth father and our Heavenly Father. Also loving and missing her will be her 4 grandchildren, Scott with wife, Amanda, Jodi, Brandee and Jason. Her 3 great grandchildren will miss her too. Holman, Horace C. (Hoss) - age 78, a resident of the Loudon Health Care Center, Loudon, TN formerly of Robertson Co., TN passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002. He was a retired insurance salesman with Union Bankers Ins. Co. and a longtime farmer. Preceded in death by his parents, Langford and Beulah Holman. Survived by former wife, Joyce Holman of Knoxville; children, Wayne Holman, Charlotte Sharp and husband, Eddie all of Knoxville; grandsons, Keith and Kevin Sharp of Knoxville; sister, Melba Holman; brother, L. J. Holman both of Robertson Co.; special friend, Fay Bailey of Lenoir City. Bridges, Charles L., age 56, of the Hardin Valley Community, Knoxville, passed away Thursday evening April 4, 2002, at the Ft. Sanders Loudon Medical Center. Charles was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Lona Longmire Bridges; brothers, William (Earl) Bridges, Conard Bridges and Amos Lee Bridges. Survivors: son, Charles Wayne Bridges of Knoxville; step daughters, Lynn Mickels of Jefferson City and Tammy Otanic of Knoxville; grandchildren, Madison Bridges and Rodney Parton; brothers, Roy E. Bridges and Walter E. Pickell, Robert William (Bill), age 86, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, April 8, 2002 at the Park West Medical Center. Bill was a Christian. He was a longtime welder and mechanic. A veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy. Preceded in death by parents, Robert Victor and Kate Pickell; sister, Iva P. Ramsey; and brother, Clyde Pickell. Survived by children, B. Jean Pickell Helton of Lenoir City; Robert Lynn Pickell of Tipton, Ind. and Michael Joe Pickell of Loudon; grandchildren; Keith and Jeff McMillan of Lenoir City, Pamela Gangwer of Ohio, Mindi Everett of Maryville, Justin Pickell of Knoxville, Wayne Pickell of Georgia, Danny and Donny Pickell of Indiana; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Keith, Beatrice Easter, age 82, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002, at her home. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Elizabeth Easter; husband, Sam Keith; son, Gregg Keith. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Debbie Fox of Loudon; granddaughter, Lavender Kelley; grandson, Keith Fox and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Malone, Haskel Paul, age 81, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, April 8, 2002 at his home. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. A retired employee of Corum Lumber Co. after 21 years service. Paul was a supervisor of the Cabinet Shop at the University of Tennessee for 18 years. He was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the Purple Heart, 8 Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. Preceded in death by 4 brothers; 2 sisters, and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Knuckey Malone; children, John Paul Malone Sr. and wife, Barbara, Katie Ruth Malone Kutsera all of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Stephanie Arden and husband, Joe of Lenoir City and John Paul Malone Jr. of Farragut; great grandchildren, Olivia Arden and Rebekah Malone; sister, Jean of Texas; several nieces and nephews. Button, Lloyd A., age 75, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of Middlesex, NY, passed away Monday, April 8, 2002. Lloyd was former owner of Dudley Poultry. He was a member, supporter and former Chief of the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department. Lloyd was an honorary Deputy Sheriff in Yates County, NY. He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Waterman Button. Survivors: son, Lloyd A. Button of Freehold, NJ; sisters, Maxine Oppelt of Canandaigua, NY and Dorothy Meath of Rushville, NY; brother, Clair (M.C.) Button of CA; several nieces and nephews. Hagler, Eva Good, age 85, of Farragut passed away Thursday afternoon April 11, 2002 at the home of her granddaughter. Eva was of the Methodist faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hagler; daughter, Jean Hagler Lewis; brother, Charlie Good. Bainter, Edria Beatrice Myers Walters Flores, age 93, of West Knoxville, TN, passed away Friday Morning, April 12, 2002 at Hill Crest North Nursing Home. Mrs. Bainter was born October 11, 1908 in Coshocton, OH and moved to Canton, OH at the age of 3. She met and married Pedro Flores who introduced the trick Yo-Yo to the United States. They traveled for most their 32 years of marriage promoting the Yo-Yo through campaigns and contests mostly in the eastern half of the United States. She was a pianist and played in dance bands. In later years she worked in a dress shop until her retirement at age 73. She moved to West Knoxville in 1987 from New Philadelphia, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Daphne Stevenson Myers; sister, Leotta Shunk; two husbands, Pedro Flores and Atlee Bainter; son, Delmar Walters. Survivors: daughter-in-law, Kathryn Walters of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Shelly and Brian Mallon of Royal Oak, MI, Kevin Walters, Christy and David Newman all of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Alisha and Bre' Anne Mallon, Blake, Brandon and Benjamin Newman. Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Lenoir City High School and a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charlie and Mamie Hickey, Ollie Kate Durham; cousins, Ray Neal and Bill Garner. Bacon Hosiery Mill. Preceded in death by husbands, James Stout and Collie Oliver; parents, Samuel and Victoria Lawson Early; children, C. J. and Leon Oliver; June Oliver Talbott; brothers, Carl V. Early, Thomas M. Early, and Paul Early; sisters, Kate Early Emert and Mae Early Kesterson. Survived by son, James W. Luke was retired from the United States Navy serving as Chief Petty Officer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Luther was a retired welder from Union Carbide, K-25 plant. A member of Avery Masonic Lodge 593 F & AM. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Preceded in death by parents, Isaac and Bertha Grizzle; brothers, Alvin A., J. T. and Lemon; sisters, Irene, Audrey, Nellie and Catherine. Survived by wife, Sibyl Dysart Grizzle; children, Ronald W. Wright, Margaret Elizabeth Turpin, age 79, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2002. She was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. Margaret was a talented crafts person, she especially enjoyed quilting. She loved to bowl and garden. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clarence Wright; sister, Lily Whitaker; and brothers, Lloyd and Johnny Turpin. Survived by daughters, Vivian and Sandra; grandchildren, Tommy and Jason Shudan, Tricia Jenkins and Casey Poe; great grandchildren, Stetson Jenkins and Jarod Shudan; brother, Otis Turpin; several well loved nieces and nephews and their children and many wonderful caregivers at Maryville Health and Rehab Center. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m Monday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Lake View Cemetery for graveside services. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Margaret Wright.

Voiles, Dollie Hart, age 88, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Loudon Health Care Center. She was a member of Sixth Ave. Church of God. Dollie retired as a sewer from Charles H. Bacon Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Sarah Harvey; her first husband and father of her children, Hobart Hart Sr. and husband, Horace J. Voiles; brothers:Chester, Roe and Sherman Harvey; sister, Grace White. Dollie is survived by her sons: Hobart Hart Jr. and wife, Ileen of Selmer, TN, Tom Hart and wife Becky of Malvern, Ark., Johnny Hart and wife, Barbara of Lenoir City, Bill Hart and wife, Brenda of Loudon, Chet Hart and wife, Teresa of Maryville; daughter, Faye Burnette and husband, W.D. of Lenoir City; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren; sister, Sally Harvey of Lenoir City and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Sunday followed by funeral services at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ernie Varner and Rev. Fred Cook will officiate. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Monday in the Cave Creek Cemetery for Graveside services and intrerment. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is serving the family of Dollie Hart Voiles.

McNabb, James Don, age 73, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Lenoir City, TN, passed away April 19, 2002 in Arlington. Don retired from the United State Marine Corp. as Gunnery Sgt. after more than twenty years of service. After his retirement he worked with Loral Aircraft Co. in Arlington.He was a member of Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and a sister. Don is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marlene Byrd McNabb; son, Jay McNabb and wife, Linda of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters: Erin, Bree and Tia; brothers, Jack McNabb and wife, Marlene of Arlington and W.D.(Dub) McNabb and wife, Betty of Lenoir City; sisters-in-law, Amy Shubert of Kingston and Joyce Donahue of Lenoir City; brothers-in-law, Jim Byrd of Madisonville, KY and Ronnie Byrd of Alta Monte Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A Masonic Service will follow at 8 p.m. conducted by Avery Masonic Lodge. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Johnson and Rev. Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with full military honors being conferred by East Tennesse Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is serving the family of Don McNabb.
