Kuhn, Albert H., age 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Erie, Pa, passed away on Saturday evening, April 12, 2003 at the Baptist Health Care Center in Lenoir City, TN. Al was a member of Lakewood Methodist Church in Erie, Pa, for many years but had recently attended Faith Lutheran Church in Farragut. He was a veteran of World War II, America's greatest generation, serving with the army under General Patton in Europe. Al was an Assistant Brewmaster with Koehler's Brewing Co. in Erie, Pa. He was a member of the Lions Club in Erie for over 50 years. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Broker Kuhn; brothers, John and Bill McCarty; Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Jay Ahlgren of Farragut; grandchildren, Terri Ahlgren and her son Ryan Harvey, Cindy Early, husband, Daryl and their children, Ashley and Chase Early all of Greensboro, NC, Kris Gompert and husband John and her daughter, Lexi Martin both of Knoxville; sister, Mary Schultz of Erie, Pa; several nieces and nephews. Smith, Mark Edward, age 44, of Lenoir City formerly of Elizabethton, TN passed away Monday, April 14, 2003 at the St. Mary's Hospice. Mark was a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City. He was an employee of BWXT - Y-12 Plant where he was a computer analyst. He loved karate and running. Price, Pearl Jeanette Hayworth Swiney, age 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday morning, April 21, 2003 at the Loudon Healthcare Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Pearl retired from Yale & Towne factory and also worked in the Hosiery Mill. Preceded in death by parents, John Hayworth and Ida Spears Hayworth; brothers, Arthur, Herman and Vander Hayworth; sisters, Sudie Hayworth, Ethel Brown, Edna Strange, Juanita Hill and Maggie Hayworth. PAULINE HEATON EVANS, age 82 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, April 24, at home with her family after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, S. Hassel Evans, her parents, Samuel Bert Heaton and Nell Crumley Heaton of Roan Mountain, Tenn.; sisters, Lucy Nell Heaton and Virginia Heaton; brothers, Calvin Heaton and George Heaton. Mrs. Evans is survived by her children, Hasseline Evans Thompson and son-in-law, Dr. Arthur Thompson, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jeanne Evans Sellars and son -in-law, H. Wayne Sellars of Knoxville, Lisa Evans Caldwell and son-in-law, Mark Caldwell of Knoxville. Pauline Evans was born in Roan Mountain, Tenn. She lived in Erwin, Tenn., from 1942 to 1968 where she was active in the Parent-Teacher Association and many civic organizations. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she served as director of the Youth Sunday School Department and Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Evans has resided in Knoxville since 1968. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church for 35 years where she was active in the Rebecca Circle. She was a member of the Farragut Ruritan Club and the Volunteer Women of Knox County. She was also a loyal lifetime volunteer for the local, state, and national Republican Party. She was a member of the Farragut North Republican Precinct Committee and a charter member of the Concord Farragut Area Republican Club. A member of Forgiveness Baptist Church and the Loudon County DAV.He was a retired carpenter and metal worker. Isaac was a veteran of the Army serving in the Pacific theater during World War II. He was a member of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church, Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F&AM, and a Knoxville Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason. Ed retired from Yale Security and worked part time as a barber at Wilburn's Barber Shop in Lenoir City. He served in the Local Unit of the Tennessee National Guard. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Smull. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Judith Smull of Farragut; grandsons, Kevin and Steven Smull both of St. Louis, MO. Manning, Luther Ray (Buck) Sr. -, age 59, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday April 7, 2004 at the Parkwest Medical Center. He served with the Tennessee Army National Guard for 20 years. A retired employee of Wampler's and Elm Hill Meat's. Buck was a member of Trinity Chapel Church. Preceded in death by parents, Luther Alger and Vivian Gertrude Manning and sister, Genive Sherwood. Survived by wife, Anna Sue Justice Manning; daughters, Sonya Lynn Manning of Harriman, Anita Feezell and husband, Greg of Calhoun; son, Luther Ray Manning Jr. and wife Angie of Harriman; step children, Roger Justice of Clinton and Jeanie Jesson of Virginia; grandchildren, Rebecca, Tyler, Hannah, Alexis, Josh, Derrick and Courtney; sisters, Shirley Johnson and Dixie Heape; several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband, Ben Ritchey, Jr., Daughters And Sons-in-laws, Judy and Steve Musser of Morristown, Jackie and Claude Finger of Lenoir City; grandchildren, John Musser, Marissa and Alana Finger, brother, Ray Allan Parks; sister, Judy Mincey and Dot Everhart; several nieces and nephews and close friends. Escott, Michael, age 56, of Farragut. TN, formerly of Sacramento, CA, left this world April 8, 2004 as the result of a car accident. Michael was a loving husband and soul mate.
