Weiler, Carole Yvonne, age 71, of the Tellico Village Community in Loudon, TN, passed away Saturday morning, April 29, 2006, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She attended Tellico Village Community Church. Carole retired from Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan after nearly 25 years service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Edna Hart Wagner, Survived by her husband of 50 years, Ken Weiler; sons and daughters-in-law: Eric and Diana Weiler of Colleyville, TX, Kevin and Pam Weiler of Bonita, CA, Scott and Lara Weiler of Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren: Danielle (Ellie) Weiler, Jack Weiler and Maison Weiler; sister, Donna (Wagner) Aebi and husband, Jim of Elwood, IN; step-mother, Sadie Coy Wagner of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-law, Jane Weiler Barbieri of Findlay, OH. A celebration of Carole’s life will be held at 11 a.m Tuesday, May 2, at Tellico Village Community Church. Rev. Martin Singley will officiate. James William (Jim) Prag, age 69, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Waukesha, WI, passed away early Friday morning, April 28, 2006 at his home, after a long battle with cancer. Jim was member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha, WI. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U S Navy. Jim was retired from Cooper Power Systems after 22 years of service. Survivors: wife of 45 years, Margaret Prag; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Thomas Trapp of Salem CT, Amy and Brad Wilkerson of Kingston, TN; grandchildren, Amelia, David, Michaela, Lydia, Sarah, Daniel, Maria, Hannah Joy and Joseph Trapp; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Sherry Prag of Kissimmee, FL; several nieces and nephews. Avery L. Lee, age 78, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, April 2, 2007. Avery served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Frances Powell Harrison, age 73, of Farragut, loving wife and mother, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Mrs. Harrison was a member of First Baptist Church Concord and the Action Sunday School Class. Mrs. Harrison, was born in Fitzgerald, GA, was a teacher in Macon, GA and was a former employee of the Knox County Teacher Center. Previously she was a volunteer a Park West for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working cross word puzzles, crocheting, knitting, walking and gardening. Frankie is survived by her husband of 53 years, William H. (Pete) Harrison; children, William F. George K. (Ken) Rodgers, age 73, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Ken was a former employee of Wise Iron Works in Knoxville and retired from Pips Iron Works. He served in the U. S. Army. Ken was preceded in death by parents, George F. Nora Mae Keener, age 79, of Lenoir City, passed away early Sunday morning, April 8, 2007 at her home. Nora was a member of Beal's Chapel Baptist Church. She was retired from Yale Security Company. Cockrell, James M., age 69, of Tellico Village, Loudon, Tennesse, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2007 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer which he fought with grace and dignity as he did with three other types of cancer and many other health issues throughout his life. Jim was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tellico Village. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 14, 1937 to Donald and Jeanne Cockrell. He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in chemical engineering. Jim was an employee of Union Carbide for 27 years. He was the plant manager at the Starr facility in Taft, Louisiana. He retired there due to recurring ill health. He and his wife later moved to Tellico Village to fish and hike. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Judge Vernon C. Field. He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Jean; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Joey Valore of Houston, Texas, Deborah and Don Hingle, Melissa and Robert Suadi; six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Donald F. Cockrell, Jr., of Alabama and a sister, Tempe Brown, of South Carolina. In all Jim did, he strived for excellence and integrity. He was a kind, gentle and loving man who loved his family and his Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 14, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Tellico Village at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Charlie Barnard and Rev. Jim Bishop officiating. Ronald Avery Brown, age 59, died suddenly Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Metairie, Louisiana. He was born October 22, 1947 to Avery and Imogene Brown in Loudon. He was trained in the electrical field and worked as a construction site manager for many years. His employment took him to job sites throughout the United States. He was proudest of his work from 1974 through 1979 on construction of the Alaskan Pipeline. He was the loving and devoted father of Dustan Thomas Brown, age 22 of Metairie, Louisiana; and Savanna Lauren Brown, age 18 of Farragut. He was an avid golfer and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lenoir City. He had served in the National Guard of Loudon County. He is also survived by aunt, Elsie Monger of Lenoir City; sister and brother-in-law, Avery and Beverly Collins of Townsend; nephews, Mark and Michael Collins; Jeff Collins and wife, Becky all of Maryville; lifetime friend, Bill Henley of Lenoir City. Nelle Nana Courtley, age 87, of the Neighborhood in Tellico Village passed away Monday, April 9, 2007. She was a member of First Baptist Church Tellico Village. She was born in Pennsylvania to parents, Anthony and Mary Zingle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Courtley along with her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. Survived by sons, Donald Courtley and wife Barbara, Melvyn Courtley and wife Judy all of Tellico Village; grandchildren,: Kim and Mike Singletary, Mary-Kathryn Goldsmith, Kerry and Victor Peltola, Donald Courtley III and fiancée, Wendy Nienstedt, Ronald Courtley, Lisa and Eric Johnson, Scott and Kerri Courtley; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mary W. (Nana) Christiansen, of Kingston and Oak Ridge passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, April 11, 2007. Nana was a member of First Baptist Church in Kingston and Oak Ridge. She was retired from Oak Ridge High School. Nana was a lovely lady who was an exceptionally talented artist and also loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence (Papa) Christiansen. She leaves to mourn her passing: children: Eric Christiansen and wife Tina of Greeneville; Mary Lynn Boyd and husband Al of Maryville; and Karen Van Hoesen and husband Dirk of Kingston; grandchildren, Alyson Cutshall and husband Stephen of Greeneville; Justin Dunaway and fiancee Dawn of Knoxville; and one great grandchild, Sydney Dunaway. Molter, Helen Louise - age 94, born Elene Louise Balma in Chicago, Il., died Monday, April 9, 2007, at her home in Deland, Fl. The daughter of immigrant Italian parents, she and her husband and children moved to Lenoir City, Tenn., in 1952, where she worked for ten years, teaching monthly Bible lessons in each of the elementary schools of Loudon County. She and her husband, the late Henry Molter, Sr., retired to Florida in 1985. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marge and Paul Westcott of Deland, Fl.; her son, Henry Jr. of Lenoir City; sister, Catherine Allshouse; brother, John Balma; two grandchildren, Thelma Foster and Vincent Vermillion; great and great-great grandchildren. David K. (Dave) Fricke, age 76, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, April 11, 2007. Dave was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Clemson University. Dave was a 1st Lt. with the U S Army serving in Korea. He retired from Ecolab in St. Paul MN after 35 years of service. Roy S. Price, age 88, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Early Saturday morning, April 14, 2007 at Park West Hospital. Roy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from the University of Tennessee as Maintenance Superintendent. Roy was a former employee of Lenoir Car Works. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U S Army. Roy was a member of Charles H. McKinney Lodge #0433 F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies and was a 32 degree Mason. He enjoyed his family and traveling. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary D. Price; twin brother, Ray Price, four other brothers and a sister. Sean M. Gibbons, age 53, of Farragut, TN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Sean was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and was an avid sports fan. Sean was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. Gibbons. He is survived by his wife, Carol Gibbons; daughter, Kathleen Gibbons; son, Timothy Gibbons all of Farragut; mother, Kathleen T. Brennan, William E., age 80, of West Knoxville, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, April 19, 2007 at his home. born in north New Jersey, he joined the Navy after graduating from high school in 1944. Bill served his country proudly during World War II as a signalman aboard the USS Rolette and USS Fiske. After leaving the Navy he attended Southwestern at Memphis, which is now Rhodes College, where he met his wife Marge. A member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, he graduated from Rhodes College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. After his marriage to Marge, Bill enjoyed a 33 year marketing career with Exxon. He was an active member of the Exxon Annuitants Club and took great pleasure in working outdoors tending his yard and rose garden. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marge Brennan; daughters, Judy Cross and husband Royce of Wartburg and Grace Brennan of Nashville; grandchildren, Bryan Cross of Rockwood, Kevin Cross and wife Amanda of Nashville, Michael Cross and fianceé Holly Brown of Wartburg; great grandchild, Tyler Cross of Nashville. VanHecke, Joseph Michael - age 26 of Sweetwater formerly of Loudon, passed away suddenly Friday, April 20, 2007. He was a 1999 graduate of Loudon High School and relocated to Sweetwater in 2002 where they bought a house. Joe enjoyed playing basketball and fishing. Preceded in death by father, Robert Michael VanHecke; grandfather, Ned Ward; sisters, Wanda and Amanda Lane. Survived by wife, Amy Pond VanHecke; parents, Linda and Kenny Lane of Loudon; sister, Wendy Borland of Ft. Campbell, KY; grandparents, Helen (Mimi) Ward, Bob and Joanie VanHecke; aunt, Shirley Watkinson all of Davenport, IA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Edel J. White, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, formerly of the Southern Pines Community, Bonita Springs, FL passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Tennessee. Edel was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Naples. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter White. Edle is survived by her children, Eileen Hambrecht and husband, Robert of Loudon, TN, Jack Barton and wife, Carol of Levittown, NY; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Carolyn, Douglas, Jonathan and Robert; great grandchildren, Paul, Maxwell, Benjamin, Marc and Gregory. Margaret C. Wilkerson, of Lenoir City, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Charles H. Bacon Company. Margaret enjoyed quilting with her friends at Central United Methodist Church, spending time with her family and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by mother and father, Sudie (Smith) and Walter Chaney, Sr.; brothers, Walter Chaney, Jr. and Don Chaney; sister, Kathleen Chaney; special friend, Dorothy Stewart.
