Harrison DuVaughn Jenkins, age 56, of Lenoir City, went home to be with the Lord December 15, 2007 at his home. DuVaughn was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy as a Gunner's mate aboard the USS Seattle. DuVaughn owned and operated Jenkins Electric and Plumbing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison John Jenkins and Mildred Dyer Jenkins; brother, Robert A. Jenkins. DuVaughn is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Johnson Jenkins; daughters: Mrs. Freddie (Gina LuVaughn) Seavers, Mrs. Robert (Tonya Denise) Audette, Miss Tanyia Dianne Jenkins, Miss Cynthia Renee Jenkins; son, Allen DuVaughn Jenkins; grandchildren: Kristin LuVaughn Smith, Alexandria, Albrianna, Angelika, Anastasia, and Andrew Jenkins; sisters: Carmelita Brannon, Elma Lee Holloway, Teresa Berry, Tammy Bolt, Sharon McCloud, Karen Jenkins, Misti Brown, Lisa Sampson; many nieces and nephews; uncle, Charlie M. Boyd Raymond Littleton, age 65, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007. Raymond was of the Baptist faith. He was a former Lenoir City Police Officer. He was a truck driver and was recently retired from Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge. Raymond served in the Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Ruth Littleton. Raymond is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra E. Littleton; step children, Tammy McCrary and Chris McCrary; step grandchildren, Cody and Brandon McCrary. Robert G. (Bob) Myers, age 85, of Kingston, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007. Bob was of the Catholic faith. He was a former Wal-Mart greeter in Oak Ridge. He was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Navy. Bob was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Schmidtgoesling and Claire Stengl. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria Myers; children: Frank Myers of Kingston, Michael Koeder of Powell, Carol Violante of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Richard Myers of Loxahatchee, FL, B. J. Smith of West Palm Beach, FL and Jack Smith of Lantana, FL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Frieda Taylo of Kingston. Callahan, Lucille "Sissy", age 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 at her home. She was a member of Lenoir City First Church of Nazarene. Sissy was a retired L.P.N. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lawrence F. "Frank" Callahan; son, Danny Fontaine; parents, Lon and Belle (Davis) Jenkins; brothers, Curtis and "Buddy" Jenkins; sisters, Imogene Crisp and Mildred Hines; nephew, Tommy Robinson and nieces, Faye Mayo and Iralene Herron. Alvin L. Wallace, age 75, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, January 18, 2007 at Parkwest Medical Center. Allan Franklin Washburn, age 78, of Knoxville, formerly of Rockingham, NC, died peacefully at home on Wednesday afternoon, December 19, 2007. Allan was retired from Conoco Oil Company. He was veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the 11th Airborne Division of the U S Army. Allan played four years with the New York Yankees organization and was a member of the 1945 American Legion Baseball National Championship team. He was also an avid golfer. Allan was born in Shelby, North Carolina to Charles and Leila Washburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Washburn Reinhardt. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cona Fite Washburn; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Larry Noble of Alabaster, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Denise Washburn of Knoxville; grandchildren, Seth Washburn and wife Wendy, Kyle Washburn and wife Rachel, Allan Neal and Laura Neal; great granddaughter, Bailey Keen; sister, Virginia Hope of Spartanburg, SC; several nieces and nephews. Charles F. Luckhardt, age 88, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Covington, KY, passed away Thursday evening, December 20, 2007. Charles was retired from International Printing Ink and the U.S. Postal Service. He was of the Catholic faith. Charles was a veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Army and was a purple heart recipient. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Florence Luckhardt. Alexis Shrader Cantrell, age 30, of Knoxville, formerly of Memphis, joined her Savior Friday evening, December 21, 2007 after an automobile accident. Alexis was a member of Cornerstone Church of Knoxville, sang with the Children’s Worship Team and was a member of the Hill Care Group. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and the perfect wife. Alexis is survived by her husband of 6 years, Tim Cantrell; children, Mason age 4 and Evan age 2; parents, Danny and Toni Shrader of Memphis; brother, Noah Shrader and fiancee Christy. Faye Nevelyn Goode, age 85, of Lenoir City, formerly of Cumberland, KY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, December 22, 2007. Faye was a member of the Cumberland Church of God and attended First Farragut United Methodist Church. She was active in the Cumberland Homemakers' Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel J. Goode. Daniel Boone Estep Jr., age 80, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday evening. December 23, 2007 at his home. Daniel was of the Baptist faith and had recently attended Liberty Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Coca-Cola in Michigan. Daniel was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Michigan and the National Rifle Association. He had an avid interest in cars and he was blessed with a large and supportive family as well as his wife's family. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Nona Estep; son, Danny Joe Estep and his parents, Daniel Boone Estep, Sr. and Mary Harris Estep. Daniel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Bohanan Estep; son, Freddie Dale Estep and wife, Janice of Maryville; 9 grandchildren: Danielle, Dawn, Daniel J. and David all of Roseville, Michigan; Daniel Estep of the United States Navy in Illinois; Amy, Josh and Tyler Inman all of Maryville; 4 great grandchildren: Josephine, Alyxa, Sawyer and Alexander; daughter-in-law, Linda Estep all of Roseville, Michigan. Georgia Underwood Hildreth, age 97, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007. She was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God for 63 years where she organized and taught the Ladies Mission Class for many years. She was very active with the World Wide Prayer Partners. Sister Hildreth supported church missions and helped build two memorial churches in Brazil and Africa. She was elected as Woman of the Year in the state of Tennessee for Senior Citizens. She and her husband operated a grocery store in Lenoir City for many years. Preceded in death by her husband, H.E. (Everett) Hildreth; son, Will A. (Bill) Hildreth; daughter, Margaret Hamilton; granddaughter, Diane Hamilton Belisle; great grandson, John Thomason; brothers and sisters: Grady Underwood, Toy Underwood, Charles Underwood, Houston Underwood, Cora Hall, Elsie Certain, Rachel Underwood and Mabel Eubanks. Enos (Boney) Johnson, age 84, of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007. Boney was the son of the late Joseph M. and Mary Sherwood Johnson from the Jones Road and the Clinch River area. He was born, lived and died in the same family homestead. Boney was a descendent of Revolutionary War veteran James Matthew who fought at Kings Mountain under the command of John Sevier. He was also the grandson of Marquis D. Layfatte Johnson who was a veteran of the Civil War and fought for the Union with the 1st Tennessee Infantry. Preceded in death by his by his parents: brothers, Mark, Earnest, Sherman, Dennis, Carl and Glyn; sisters, Lynnis Keeble, Maude Cole, Joyce Johnson, and Evelyn Vineyard; several nieces and nephews. Enos was retired from Raytheon and TVA and was also a longtime farmer. He is survived by his wife, Velma; sons, William J. (Bailey) Johnson and wife, Lynne, Steve R. Johnson and wife, Boomnee all of Lenoir City; grandchildren: Robert E. Johnson and wife, Tracy, Kathy Harper and husband, Josh, and Zachary Johnson; great grandchildren, Ty and Marley Harper; sisters, Katherine Bright of Lenoir City and Ruth Hood of Broomfield, CO; brother-in-law, W. Joan Alberta Oppegard, age 73, of Knoxville, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 23rd. Beloved wife, mother and Mamaw, Joan dedicated her life to loving and guiding her large family. Left to mourn her passing is Galen Keith Oppegard, her husband of 50 years, her 8 children, and 30 grandchildren. Joan was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on October 3rd, 1934. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1956 from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN. An important part of her life was living and sharing her faith. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to always attend church and grow in the love of Christ. Joan was a founding member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church where she remained an active and fervent member the rest of her life. From large candle-lit dinners for the Holidays to garden parties for the grandchildren, Joan created special memories for all. She loved crafts and cooking. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed and smocked beautiful heirloom garments for her grandchildren. In addition to being a teacher, Girl Scout leader, and career counselor, Joan's hobbies included analyzing the Stock Market. She established a women's investment group and taught classes in stock selection throughout Knoxville. Joan combined her loved for travel and education with a trip to New York City and a meeting with the President of the New York Stock Exchange. Joan believed in being an achiever and encouraged her loved ones to do the same. One of her proudest moments came when her son Peter Oppegard earned an Olympic Medal in Pairs Figure Skating in Calgary Canada in 1988. Joan, our: Beloved Wife, Bride, Mother, Grandmother, Coach, Tour Guide, Counselor, Musician, Disciplinarian, Story Teller, Listener, World Traveler, Teacher, Friend, Manager, Mother-In-Law, Mamaw, Nurse, Servant of the Lord. You are loved and sadly missed, but you are in our hearts forever. Joan was preceded in death by parents: Theodore and Loretta McAfee. Gene G. Hughes Jr., age 70, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his home. Gene was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He was retired from the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge and was a member of IBEW Local #760. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene G. Hughes Sr. and Emma Lou Hughes; niece, Melody Duff Kavanagh. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Duff Hughes; daughter, Gwendolyn R. Franklin, Bobby Roy, age 65, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Parkwest Medical Center. He attended Bell Avenue Baptist Church and was retired from Viscase. Preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Franklin; parents, Henry Franklin and Lucy Watts; sister, Agnes Spears. Survived by brother, Barney Franklin and wife, Thelma of Loudon; special friends, Rita and Jasmine Biddick; aunt, Jane Lane of Lenoir City; nephews and niece, Billy Spears, Greg Spears and Tammy Dunlap; 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. George Seay and Rev. Frank Weaver officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday and proceed to Lakeview Mausoleum for entombment services at 2 p.m. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.

Elmer E. (Bill) Kilby, age 58, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007. Bill was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Maremont in Loudon. Bill was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Gladys Kilby; infant son, Billy Kilby; step daughter, Robin Linginfelter; step son, David Kennedy and sister, Frances Kilby. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Frances Dyer Kilby; sons, Scotty Kilby and Shane Kilby; grandchildren, Dwana Littleton, Martha Stevens and Bobby Stratton; 5 great grandchildren: special granddaughter, Jessica Cheyenne, Ashley Nicole, Kaitlyn, Alexis and Austin; sisters, Helen Swing and husband, Bobby of Crossville, Joyce Elmore of Crab Orchard; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Robert Jenkins, Lily Seay and Ted Ellison. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Luther Massengale officiating.
