Martha Sue Baldwin
Martha Sue Baldwin, 80, of Cross Plains, died on Monday, April 16, 2001, at Elmhurst Nursing Home.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednes-day, April 18, at Cross Plains Cemetery with Dennis Metts officiating.
Interment was in Cross Plains Cemetery.
Miss Baldwin was born in Robertson County on Dec. 12, 1920, to Gilbert and Laura Knight Baldwin.
She was a retired machinist at Aerostructures and was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Oather Baldwin.
Survivors include three sisters, Bessie Wimpy, Pembroke, Ky., Agnes Webb, Clarksville and Bea Covington, Cross Plains.

Paul Edward Farmer
Paul Edward Farmer, 49, of Pleasant View, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Nashville.
Memorial services were conducted Monday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Walker, Dr. Farris Moore, and Rev. Ed McClellan officiating.
Mr. Farmer’s remains were cremated.
Burial followed in the Pleasant View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Springfield on Dec. 9, 1951, the son of Mary Elizabeth Kelly Farmer, Pleasant View and the late James Robert Farmer.
Mr. Farmer was a United States Navy veteran and was a medical service technician.
He attended the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Gloria Lavon Farmer.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a son, Scott Evan Farmer, Killen, Ala.; a brother, James Kelly “Jim” Farmer; grandchildren, Alexandra and Kyle Farmer, both of Killen, Ala.

Robert H. Malugin
Robert Hayes Malugin, 84, died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, at Austin & Bell in White House, at 11 a.m. with Mike Shrum officiating.
Friends and relatives served as pallbearers.
Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Malugin was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Malugin.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Gary Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda Malugin, all of Cottontown; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Nell Nichel, Emma Jean Bratton, and Ellen Amacher; and a brother, Glen Malugin.

Anziel (Andy) Kirby
Anziel (Andy) Kirby, 40, died Thursday, July 18, 2002.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home, White House with Bro. Delwin Fryer officiating.
Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Dori Nash Kirby; sons, Seth, Jon and Ethan Kirby; parents, Joe and Betsy Kirby; grandfather, Wilkins Kirby.

Dallas Keith Smith
Dallas Keith Smith, 51, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services were held at White House Church of Christ Monday, July 22, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Keith Barnett officiating.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Neal, Howard Quillen, Ron Melton, George Reed, Bill Adcock and George Kuhn.
Interment followed at White House Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Smith of Cottontown; sons, Jason Smith of Cottontown, and Nathan (Tonya) Smith of White House; grandsons, Trent and Ethan Smith; sisters, Anna Mower, Celina, Janet Whiteside of Florence, Ala., and Carol Ford, Indianapolis; a brother, Carl Smith of Erwin.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Helen Hill Lempka
Helen Hill Lempka, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, died June 10, 2002, in Heber City, Utah.
A funeral mass was offered by Rev. James Flynn at St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was the oldest member of the congregation.
Mrs. Lempka was born March 18, 1912, in Waynesboro, Pa. She has spent the last 12 years with her daughter and son-in-law in Heber City, Utah.
She lived in Lakeland, Fla., for a long time and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was employed at the rectory as a secretary and bookkeeper.
She was also employed by Catholic Social Services for many years. Much of her life was devoted to taking care of others and donating her life to acts of charity. She was a devoted and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Hill of Springfield, and William Lempka of Lakeland, Fla., and a son, Robert Hill of Lakeland, Fla.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Fletcher (Harley) of Adams; a brother, Roy Manns (Kate) of Lakeland, Fla.; three daughters, Joanne Kren (Edward) of Heber City, Utah, Carol Ann Vorholzer (William) of Lakeland, Fla., and Marjorie Caccamisi of Lakeland, Fla; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Juanita Law Bassell
Juanita Law Bassell, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Maryville, died July 17, 2002, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 20, in Maryville at McCammons-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bassell was born Feb. 11, 1913, in Maryville to the late Jackson Oliver and Margaret Wells Law.
Mrs. Bassell was a science teacher for 35 years prior to retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Burr Bassell, and her daughter, Dorothy Law Bassell.
She is survived by her son, Dr. John Burr Bassell Jr. of Springfield; two sisters, Dorothy Morgan and Margaret Burns, both of Statesville, N.C.; six grandchildren, John Burr Bassell III, Thomas Louis Bassell, David Patrick Bassell, Mary Letitia Bassell, Ashley Nation Bassell and Angela Nation Bassell.
