Wanda Petty
Wanda Gail Petty, 48, of Greenbrier, died Saturday, July 13, 2002.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 15 at 3 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor John McCarty and Tim Harris officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
She was born Oct. 12, 1953, in Davidson County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles James Brindley.
She is survived by daughters, Tammy Reason of Humboldt and Olivia White of Milan; mother, Mildred Drake Brindley of Greenbrier; an aunt, Brenda Haynes of Springfield; a dear friend, Linda Carter of Springfield; grandchildren, Zachary, Allie, James and Emma.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

J.W. Johnson
J.W. Johnson, 78, of Cedar Hill, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare Center.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lay, Rev. Andrew Jones and Rev. Ken Gillespie officiating.
The interment followed in the Bellwood Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Robertson County, to the late John W. and Mary James Johnson. He was a retired truck driver for Elk Valley Freight Line.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John Edward, William Foster, Bob H. and Curtis Johnson, sisters, Gladys Byrns, Ann Ellis and Bess Chestnut.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eve Richards Johnson of Cedar Hill; a brother, Charles R. Johnson of Springfield; a sister, Geneva J. Kennedy of Springfield; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Otha Mae Dunbar Lucus
Otha Mae Dunbar Lucus, 73, of Springfield, died July 5, 2002.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Edgefield Baptist Church with Rev. W. L. Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Pembrook Cemetery, Pembrook, Ky.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Lucas of New York; four sons, John Henry Lighting of Chicago, Ill., James Gyunn of Clarksville, Seymour Lighting of Guthrie, Ky.; four daughters, Alesia Hudon and Francis Scharkley, both of Springfield, Nora Lighting of Trenton, Ky., and Rosetta Morrow of Guthrie, Ky.; four brothers, James Bush, Charles Bush, Tommy Wade Bush, and Bobby Bush, all of Clarksville; three sisters, Nera Gyunn of Elkton, Ky., Alice Bell West of Clarksville, and Mary Ann Lacey of Elkton, Ky.; 22 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Parham Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

John L. “Uncle Billy” Ross
John L. “Uncle Billy” Ross, 70, of Springfield, died July 6, 2002, at Elm Hurst Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held July 10, a 7 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. George Wells officiating.
Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
He is survived by a brother Robert L. Ross of Springfield; and a sister, Amanda Cole of Jeffersonville, Ind.
Parham Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Holden
Mrs. Virginia Holden, 84, of Springfield, died July 11, 2002.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, at 7 p.m at First Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Martin Winslow officiating.
Burial followed in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Davis of Springfield; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of other devoted relatives and friends.
Parham Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.

Nancy Pinson Curl
Nancy Pinson Curl, 59, died July 11, 2002.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, from Alexander Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Binford and Rev. Felix Snell officiating.
Pallbearers were David Pinson, Steve Pinson, Mark Kolemba, Robert Langford, Mark Raymond and Ron Morey.
Interment followed at Cross Plains Cemetery.
Mrs. Curl was survived by her husband, Andrew Ray Curl of Gallatin; a daughter, Janet Raymond (Mark), of Carmel, Ind.; brothers, Freddy Pinson (Linda) of Cross Plains, and Joe Pinson (Teresa) of White House.
Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin was in charge of arrangements.
