Myrtle May VanMarter, 100, formerly of Groton, N.Y., died Friday May 23, 2003, at Alive Hospice Residence, Nashville.
Graveside services will be held at Groton Cemetery Wednesday, May 27.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford VanMarter.
Survivors include daughters, Sadie Brown of White House, and Barbara Bonham; a sister, Helen Freese; five grandchildren six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild.

Zera Charles McPeak
Zera Charles McPeak, 76, died May 15, 2003, at Skyline Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Rev. Bobby Swift officiating.
Mr. McPeak was born on Jan. 12, 1927, in Vance County, N.C., to the late Zera Covelia and Beulah Angeline Horton McPeak.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita McPeak of Springfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and David Sloan III of Nashville and Susan and Bob Singler of Vail, Ariz.; a sister, Irene Adcox of Henderson, N.C.; three grandchildren, Nathan Womack, Shancy Sloan and David Sloan IV.

Sandrus Darden Brown
Sandrus Darden Brown, 58, of Durham, N.C., formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, May 15, 2003.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at St. John A.M.E. in Springfield with Rev. Wanda Payne officiating.
Burial followed at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Sandrus Darden Brown was born in Springfield on Oct. 14, 1944, to Homer and Essie Lee Darden Jr.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include a daughter, Jamie Brown of Durham, N.C.; sister, Barbara (Doyle) Stewart of Springfield; brother, Paul (Elizabeth) Darden of Goodlettsville; two grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Cassie H. Medley
Cassie H. Medley, 89, died April 28, 2003.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 30 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solon Medley, daughters, Bobbye Mason and Bettye Harrison.
Survivors inlclude a son, John (Lori) Medley; in-laws, Ken (Carolyn) Mason; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Nannie Lucile Carter
Nannie Lucile Carter, 83, died May 25, 2003.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 27, from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. in the Madison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Timothy Jones and Bro. Billy Shipman officiating.
Interment to follow in Robertson County Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by her husband, Enis A. Carter Sr.
Survivors include Enis A. (Betty) Carter Jr., Raymond (Rose) Carter and Thomas Carter; daughters, Annie Lou (James) McCarty, Mary R. (Billy) Hall and Elaine (Phillip) Johnson; sister, Margaret Christopher; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

Opal Wetton Anthony
Opal Wetton Anthony, 81, of Adams, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 8 at Austin and Bell Funeral in Springfield with Rev. Ken Gillespie and Rev. Doug Downing officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Anthony was born in Big Rock on Aug. 29, 1920 to the late John Erick and Idella Griffin Wetton.
She graduated from Austin Peay University and received her masters from Western Kentucky University.
Mrs. Anthony taught school in Kentucky for 36 years, 33 of those in Elkton Middle School.
She was a member of Adams United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. Her husband was the late Angelo “Bubbie” Anthony.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-laws, Edwin A. and Anita Anthony, Jimmy W. and Gloria Anthony, John Paul and Susan Anthony; daughters and sons-in-laws, Patsy and Ronnie Morris, Jean and Tom Lawrence, all of Adams; brothers, Harold Wetto, of Tampa, Fla., John Doug Wetton of Chicago, Ill., and Bruce Wetton of Franklin, Ky.; sisters, Dorothy Allen of Hopkinsville, Ky., Margaret Henderson of Elkton, Ky., and Alice Stamper of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Elizabeth Buchanan
Dorothy Elizabeth Buchanan, 73, of Greenbrier, died on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001 at her home.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Austin and Bell Chapel in Greenbrier with Brother Wayne Cummley officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Buchanan was born in Springfield on May 28, 1918 to the late Thomas and Effie Lee Wilkerson Porter.
She was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods and a Primitive Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Joe Buchanan; sons, John Robert Hart and Calvin Ray Hart, both of Greenbrier; Joseph Michael Buchanan, Roger Dale Buchanan, Kevin Ray Buchanan, all of Nashville; daughters, Pamela Jean Adams and Patricia Bell Blade, both of Nashville; brother Hulan Thomas Porter of Springfield; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

May Stanley Frazier
May Stanley Frazier, 76, died Dec. 7, 2001.
Remains are at Austin and Bell Chapel where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Stanley, a World War II bride from Great Britain, was a minister and teacher of the Gospel.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherree Joy Frazier Lassiter; a grandson, Kenneth Eugene Whitaker; and her parents in Great Britain.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Thomas Frazier; sons, Robert C. Frazier and Vernon L. Frazier; daughters, Ann Young and Juliana Ray; two brothers and three sisters in Great Britain; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Frazier, Vernon Frazier, Charles Young, Paul Young, Wesley Frazier and Kenneth Whitaker.
