Mary E. Jones, 87, of Springfield, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, at New Wells Grove Church at Barren Plains with Pastor George Clemons Sr. officiating.
Burial followed at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cedar Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Ester Hart Jones.
Survivors include three brothers, William Jones of White House and Luke and Joe Jones, of Springfield; two sisters, Alice Jones of Springfield and Sarah Wells of Nashville; a host of other relatives and friends.

Ruby L. Thomas
Ruby L. Thomas, 78, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Springfield, died March 29, at Dayton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3 (today) at 7 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, Springfield with Pastor Bill Townsend officiating.
Burial will follow Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Nezzie V. Thomas, two brothers, James H. Thomas and Percy Thomas, and a daughter, Sheila Walton.
Ms. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Janice M. Calhoun and Janis Jones, both of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Mattie P. Thomas and Ruth Thomas, both of Springfield; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Margaret L. Hank
Margaret L. “Louise” Hank, formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002.
Funeral services were held at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, Mo., on Saturday, March 30 at 5 p.m.
Graveside services and interment were held at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto, Calif., on Tuesday, April 2.
Mrs. Hank was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick H. Hank.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Rosanne (Greg) Ulrich; grandchildren, Kimberly, Robert, Melissa, Christine and Jill Ulrich; a sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.
The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Edna Ruth Gregory Orlich
Edna Ruth Gregory Orlich, 64, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at her home in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 21, in Fernandina Beach at the Bosque Bello Cemetery.
Mrs. Orlich was a native of Robertson County where she worked at Bolen Leather Company.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Wilson Jones.
Mrs. Orlich had lived in Nassau County, Fla., since 1985. Until her retirement, she was a seamstress at American Body Armor and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Lee (Trish) Gregory Jr. of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Tony (Angie) Gregory of Springfield; three daughters, Bonnie June (Mark) Wood of Lexington, Sherry Lee (Jimmy) Gregory of Springfield, and Juanita J. (Michael) Johnson of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Orlich.

Homer E. Smith
Homer E. Smith, 70, of Cedar Hill, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Centennial Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor David Harper.
Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, Ky.
Mr. Smith was born Oct. 17, 1931 in Robertson County to the late Frank and Vertie Goodwin Smith.
His wife, Frances Brown Smith, and a sister, Eunice Smith Frazier, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith was a long-time employee of Atwood Company and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Smith is survived by three brothers, Gossett Smith of Springfield, David Smith of Russellville, Ky., and Phillip Smith of Cedar Hill, and a sister, Artie Smith of Springfield.

Charles David Markham
Charles David Markham, 64, of Greenbrier, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 27, 2002 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jodi McCullah.
Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville.
Mr. Markham was in the construction business and a member of Wartrace United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary Johnson Markham Jr., and a grandson, Michael Pitt.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Keeton Markham; daughter and sons-in-law, Melanie and Jeff Randolph, and Darlene and Lanny Little, both of Russellville, Ky., Pam and Bryan Crow of Louisville, Ky., Amanda and Stewart Smith of Hawaii, Vickie Davis of Gallatin, and Stacy and John Goforth of Rainbow City, Ala.; sons, Gary Yates of Auburn, Ky., and Barry Yates of Cadiz, Ky.; brother, John Markham of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Kitty Nedderman of Vashon Island, Wash., Louise Gimalva of Baton Rouge, La., Christine Johnson of Russellville, Ky., and Mary Long Judy of Freemont, Wisc.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Russell Greer
Russell Greer, 62, of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002.
Graveside services were held Thursday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in Greenbrier Cemetery.
Mr. Greer was born on March 24, 1940, in London, Ky., to the late John R. and Ola Mae Holcomb Greer.
Mr. Greer was a member of Greenbrier Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Greer of Springfield; brothers, John Earl Greer of Springfield, and James Robert Greer of Florida; a sister, Ruth A. Hoskins of Springfield; a nephew, Ricky Brown of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
