Joel T. Lamberth
Joel T. Lamberth, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services were held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Sunday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Roy Lamberth officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Ron Harper, Jerry Meadows, members of the White House Lodge No. 700, members of Al Menah Shrine.
Active pallbearer were nephews.
Interment followed at White House Memorial Gardens.
A Masonic service was conducted by White House Masonic Lodge No. 700, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
Mr. Lamberth was retired from BellSouth and was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Scott Lamberth; a daughter, Mitzi Lamberth; stepdaughters, Bethany Davis and Laurie Hunt; a stepson, Brad Davis; sisters, Libby Lucas, Catherine Harrison and Ruth Escue; and brothers, Paul, Jesse, Wesley and Roy Lamberth.
Austin & Bell White House was in charge of arrangements.
Ernest Eugene Wilson
Ernest Eugene Wilson, 78, of Springfield, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Elder Walter George officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Perry, Fla., to the late Frank William and Emma Johnson Wilson.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator from Metro Public Works.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church of Christ.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in World War II.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his sons, John Edward and Richard Wilson and by his daughter, Charlotte Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Woodson Wilson of Springfield; a son, Jerry D. Wilson of Hendersonville; a daughter, Carolyn Brown of Nashville; an adopted daughter, Tonya Wilson of Springfield; step-daughters, Bertha Lynn Robinson of Springfield and Mary Ann Chambers of Pulaski; a brother, Homer Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mabel Baggett of Palatka, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren, and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

Louis Sampson
Dr. Louis Sampson, 83, formerly of Nashville, died Nov. 12, 2002, in Chicago.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at Temple Sholom of Chicago.
Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery in Chicago.
A memorial service will be held at Congregation Micah, 2001 Old Hickory Blvd., Brentwood, Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m.
He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School Class of 1956.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sylvia, who was also his best friend; daughters, Elaine (Fred) Hamburg, Sherri (Dennis) Workman, Karen (Arnold) Weingart, and Vicki (Erik) Wegweiser; grandchildren, Keith and Brian Hamburg and Zoe Weingart; great-grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Rachel and Aaron Hamburg.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Brones Dock Hardcastle, 93, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Sherrill, Rev. Lowell Harris, and Rev. John Christian officiating.
Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Steve Harris, Phillip Harris, Stan Hardcastle, Loy Hardcastle Jr., Pat Stidham and Bill Stidham.
Mr. Hardcastle was preceded in death by his parents, Cora Alice Hardcastle and Thomas Luther Hardcastle and by his first wife, Odell Page Hardcastle.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Wilks Hardcastle; a daughter, Ruth Ann (John) Harris; three grandchildren, Steven Harris, Matthew Harris, Chris Crane, and Ashley Harris.

Glynda Jernigan Hodges
Glynda Sue Jernigan Hodges, 65, of Bowling Green, Ky., died Nov. 27, 2002, at the home of her niece, Donna Saad, from a sudden heart attack.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Brown officiating.
She was born to Gerald Jernigan and Elizabeth Randolph Jernigan of Portland.
Survivors include her mother; a brother, Billy B. Jernigan of Portland; aunts, Francis Duncan of Lexington, Ky., and Louise Randolph of Franklin, Ky.; nieces, Lisa Hudson and Donna Saad; a nephew, James R. Jernigan; and several great-nieces and nephews

Richard Earl Thaxton
Richard Earl Thaxton, 71, of Springfield, died at his home Monday, Dec. 2, 2002.
Remains are at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, where services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 4 (today) at 10 a.m. with Bro. Vernon Barker and Bro. Roger Thaxton officiating.
A Masonic service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Steven Mann, Dr. Anthony A. Meluch, Dr. David Billhearts and Dr. Charles Ecstein. Active pallbearers were nephews and friends.

He was born July 21, 1931, in Robertson County. He was the son of the late Robert Craig and Effie Earl Traughber Thaxton.
He was a member of the Machinist Union Local No. 735, and retired from Avco in 1992 .
Survivors include his wife, Dean Rediker Thaxton of Springfield; daughters, Pamela (David) Simpkins, Beverly Hunter, Shelia (Mark) Evans, Lisa Mann, and Christy Hunter; a son, Earl Wayne (Sherry) Thaxton; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Russell Glen Byrum
Russell Glen Byrum, 83, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Sharpe officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Byrum was born July 24, 1919, in Simpson County, Ky., to the late Buford Logan and Leonora Gertrude Herndon Byrum.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Alma Louise Walker Byrum, a granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Roberts, and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include sons, Butch Byrum of Springfield and Benny Byrum of Hendersonville; daughters, Nancy Byrum of Springfield and Linda Watkins of Swansea, S.C.; a sister, Evelyn Wilson of Russellville, Ky.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim White and Rayburn Watson.
