Nina Estell Seeley
Nina Estell Seeley, 82, died early Friday morning, Jan. 31, 2003, as a result of injuries sustained in a fire at her home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 2 at Red River Cemetery in Adams with Bro. Chuck Cato and Bro. Doug Downey officiating.
Mrs. Seeley was a life-long resident of the Adams Community and the former owner of the Bell Witch Opry in Adams.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carol Seeley, and a brother.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie and Jane Seeley, of Clarksville, and James and Judy Seeley, of Smyrna; a sister, Elizabeth Ferguson of LaMarque, Texas; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for her service are Dan Seeley, Wayne Seeley, Joe Seeley, Billy Seeley and Scott Atkins.

Altha Mae Carney Nichols
Altha Mae Carney Nichols, 85, died Feb. 1, 2003, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
Funeral services were held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield Tuesday, Feb. 4 with Bro. Hubert Cunningham and Bro. Cowan officiating.
The interment followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Nichols was born April 29, 1917, in Robertson County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Hiram and Vera Shearon Carney, her step-mother, Bessie Head, a brother, Phineas Carney and her husband, Henry Nichols.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Sammy Bryant; grandchildren, Christopher and Melissa Nichols, William Samuel and Mandy Nichols and a great-grandchild, Ashlen Nichols, all of Adams.

Marvin Douglas Hunt
Marvin Douglas Hunt, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at Imperial Manor.
Funeral services were held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Bro. Bob Carroll officiating.
Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery.
He was retired from Dupont Company in Old Hickory.
He was born in Stewart County Oct. 20, 1910, to the late Jared Fort and Goldie Smith Hunt. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Darnell Hunt.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Joe and Linda Hunt, and Cecil and Elsie Hunt, all of Greenbrier; a daughter and son-in-law, Mildred and Wayne Fitts of Cross Plains; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Edward Wiley Swinea
Edward Wiley Swinea, 57, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at his home in Greenbrier.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Ray Mayo officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Swinea was born in Lawrence County May 28, 1945, to the late Wiley Edward and Letha Hill Swinea.
He is survived by four brothers and their wives, Roy and Judy Swinea of Greenbrier, Charlie and Louise Swinea of Dearborn, Mich., Robert and Dora Swinea of Garden City, Mich., Arthur and Polly Swinea of Stow, Ohio; three sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Hodges of Greenbrier, Betty and Willie C. Stamps of Iron City, Tenn., and Connie Peden of Florence, Ala.; a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mark Hudgen, Jayson Parker, Billy Hodges, Darryl Stamps, Terry Swinea and Jerry Swinea.

Shirley L. Fisher
Shirley L. Fisher, 66, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Norman Slate officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were 1997 White House High School state championship football team.
Active pallbearers were T.W. Fisher, Chad and Joey Rogers, Todd Stephens, Bill Burnett, and Andy Rippy.
Interment followed in White House Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Morris Fisher; a daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Johnny Simpkins; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sherry Fisher; grandchildren, Chad and Leann Rogers, Joey and Jessica Rogers, Stephanie Fisher, T. W. Fisher; great-grandchild, Kaylee Rogers; mother, Mary Goodwin; a brother, Paul Goodwin; sisters, Betty Gibson and Linda Osteen Setser.
The family requests donations be made to Alive Hospice.

Harlon E. Stinson, 68, a resident of White House, died Jan. 31, 2003, at Imperial Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Andre Dugger officiating.
Active pallbearers were Rick and Tyler Davis, Bobby Wright, Michael Dowlen, Tom Slagle, and Dean Shelton.
Interment followed at Mt. Sharon Cemetery.
Mr. Stinson is survived by his wife, Clara Stinson, and her two daughters, Beverly Davis of Goodlettsville and Julie Wright of White House; a son, Steve Young of Goodlettsville; two sons-in-law, Rick Davis and Bobby Wright; a grandson, Tyler Davis; three granddaughters, Victoria and Megan Wright, Beth Davis Akers and spouse, Wayne Akers.; a sister, Velma Turman of Fairview; daughters, Nancy Moore and Vicky Runk; sons, Harlon and Jimmy Stinson; six grandsons, John B. Moore, Adam, Christopher, Noah and Lee Stinson, Kenneth and Barry Runk; great-granddaughters, Charity and Jasmine Runk.

William Allen Gregory
William Allen “Bill” Gregory, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. with Joey Rogers officiating.
Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Shirley Gregory; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sonya Gregory of Peachtree City, Ga.; a granddaughter, Courtnie Gregory, and a sister, Pauline Hayes of Nashville.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hardee’s Morning Coffee Club. Active pallbearers were family and friends.
