Ronald Glenn Smith, 63, died at NorthCrest Medical Center Friday, Aug. 6, 2004.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Kyle Slater and Bro. Joe Hinkle officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
He was a retired mechanic for the City of Springfield where he worked 17 years.
He was born in Springfield Nov. 26, 1940, to the late James Smith and Dorothy Smith of Springfield.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 40 years, Joan Perdue Smith of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Tisha Smith of Springfield; daughters and son-in-law, Traci Hutchison of Ashland City, and Tonya and Jimbo Webb of Springfield; brothers, Gordon Smith, Jimmy Smith, Barry Smith, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Brad Hutchison, Bert Hutchison, Bruce Hutchison, Heather White, Meghan White, Tyler Smith, Dalton Webb and great-grandson, James Lee Hutchison.
Pallbearers for the service were Jarrod Simpson, Matthew Simpson, Nick Simpson, Jim Smith, Michael Smith, Jason Smith, Chris Smith and Greg Smith.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Barbara Anderson
Barbara Anderson, 77, of Springfield, died Monday, July 26, 2004, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, July 28 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 18, 1927, in Robertson County.
She was retired from Nasco and was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Felix Moon, mother, Eura Ellis Robertson, husband, Roy B. Anderson.
Survivors include a son, Roy B. Anderson Jr. of Crescent City, Calif.; daughters, Dotsy Haley, and Shirley Whitley, both of Springfield, Gayle Jager and Mary Choate, both of Greenbrier, Carolyn Evans of Madison and Martha Grimes of Nashville; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

G. Wayne Harris, 62, of Goodlettsville, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at his home.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday, July 24 at 3 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. David Royalty officiating.
Mr. Harris was born April 16, 1942, in Robertson County.
He was an engineer with Dupont.
He is preceded in death by his father, Grady Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Nan Foust Harris of Goodlettsville; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Rosa Harris of Coral Springs, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Lewis “Beau” Walling of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Joy, Adam and Keith Harris, Emily and Katie Walling; mother, Marie Smith Harris of Goodlettsville.

James Howard Moorefield
James Howard Moorefield, 81, of Springfield died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 24 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Evans officiating.
Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Moorefield was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Montgomery County, to the late Jack and Laura Davis Moorefield.
He was retired from the City of Springfield Sanitation Department.
He worked many years at Springfield High School in the athletic department.
He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, American Legion Post 45, and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy West Moorefield of Springfield; sons, Jimmy, Jackie, John, Jerry and Joe Moorefield, all of Springfield; daughter, Jennifer Scruggs of Springfield; sister, Lucy Brown of Frankfort, Ky.; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Sydney Vincent Fyke
Sydney Vincent Fyke, 54, of Goodlettsville, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at Skyline Medical Center.
His remains were cremated.
Mr. Fyke was born June 12, 1950, in Davidson County, to the late Herbert Draughon and Hester Louise Law Fyke.
He was a film librarian and a member of Page Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy Morris Fyke of Goodlettsville; a son, Jonathon Taylor Fyke of Goodlettsville; daughter, Jessica Susanne Marie Fyke of Goodlettsville; brothers, Leon Fyke of Goodlettsville and David Brian Fyke of Johnson City.

Susie West Reynolds
Susie West Reynolds, 89, of Springfield, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 26 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Reynolds was born June 25, 1915, in Simpson County, Ky., to the late John Wesley and Ellie Mandrell Graves. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reynolds, daughter, Billie Sue Shutt, brothers, Nergie, Amon and Herbert Graves, sisters, Louise McAlister, Mac Knight, Nolie Minnis and Mamie Hulsey.
Survivors include a daughter, Freda Holt of Springfield; grandchildren, Tonia Walker, Brandi, Nikki and Jennifer Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Brian Walker, Kimberly Traughber, Logan Birdwell; great-great-grandchild, Austin Clay Walker.

Ruth Carter, 50, of Nashville, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 24 at 10 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Eldon Spivey officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Carter was born Nov. 7, 1953, in Ashville, N.C., a daughter of Bernice Morgan and Alberta Crawford Carter.
She worked in housekeeping in hotels.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include special friends, Rick Brown of Nashville, Mark Manasco of Nashville, Randy and Sharon Clinard of Springfield, Bill and Karen Anderson of Nashville, and Greg Boling of Nashville.
