Maxene Rea Goodfellow
Maxene Rea Goodfellow, 87, of Springfield, died at her home Monday, July 26, 2004.
Funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.
She was born in Dawn, Mo., to the late Russell and Easter Harmon Rea.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Goodfellow, a daughter, Beverly Jean Wells, a brother, Victor Rea, a sister Allene Sprague and a grandson, Stan Garrett.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Terry Thompson of Springfield, Carla and David Howard of Billings, Mont.; a brother, Reo Rea of Rogersville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Edward Leo Gray
Edward Leo Gary, 90, of Greenbrier, died at Beverly Healthcare Sunday, July 25, 2004.
Graveside services were held in the Greenbrier Cemetery Tuesday, July 27 with Bro. Jack Martin officiating.
Mr. Gray was retired as a dispatcher for TVA.
He was born in Aberdeen, Miss., July 25, 1914, to the late John William and Ruth Davis Gray.
He is also preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Sue Reid Gray and sons-in-law, Gene Polen and Charles William “Chip” Zimmerle.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Polen Zimmerle of Ridgetop; two grandsons and their wives, Troy and Beth Polen of Greenbrier, Shannon and Ginger Polen of Ridgetop; great-grandchildren, Megan Polen, Dallas Polen, Breanna Polen and Hunter Eden; a nephew and his wife, Gray and Burton Prewitt.
Pallbearers were Mike Brown, Al Garcia, Darrell Denton, Shannon Polen, Troy Polen and Andy Griffin.

Ammon Thomas Brooks Sr.
Ammon Thomas Brooks Sr., 58, of Nashville, formerly of Cross Plains, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24 at 1 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Cross Plains with Pastor Keith Jackson officiating.
Burial followed at Friendship Church Cemetery in Cross Plains.
Mr. Brooks was born Sept. 9, 1945 to Thomas Junior Brooks and Bertha Lee Brooks in Sumner County.
Mr. Brooks accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Oak Grove Baptist Church. In 1977 he united with Friendship Baptist Church in Cross Plains.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966, and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal.
As a faithful and active member of the Friendship Baptist Church he served on the Usher Board, sang in the Male Chorus and until his passing he held the office of Secretary and Treasurer.
He was self-employed as a barber with Reed & Sons Barber shop in Nashville.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his loving wife, Frankie Brooks; son, Ammon Thomas Brooks Jr.; daughters Stacy Y. (Rico) Moore and Ashley T. Brooks; beloved mother, Bertha L. Bell of Cross Plains; grandchildren, Ecacia and Erriyana Moore; three sisters, Evelyn “E.J.” (Cleophus) Payne, Linda (A. Eugene) Colliers, Denise (Samson) Williams; two brothers-in-law, Billy (Lillian) Richmond, and Jeffery Lynn Richmond; three aunts, Minnie (Leroy) Coleman, Emma (Jim Thomas) Groves, Ruthie Mae (Jessie) Britton; a devoted friend, Carl Reed and family; God-children, Alonzo and Deborah Moore; nieces, nephews; and other numerous relatives and friends and Friendship Baptist Church family.

Shirley Lavon Gardner Bradley
Shirley Lavon Gardner Bradley died Thursday, July 22, 2004.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 26 at 2 p.m. at Greater South Baptist Church, Springfield with Rev. Silas P. Gardner officiating.
Mrs. Bradley was born Sept. 24, 1951 to Richard and Lovie Mae Gardner.
On Oct. 12, 1974, she married Bennie Bradley.
She was a faithful member of True Vine Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir.
She is preceded in death by a son, Bryant D. Bradley.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie Bradley; daughter, Latoya M. Bradley; brothers and sisters, Beverly (Edward) Bradley, Brenda (Donald) Hicks, Kimberly (David) Johnson, Willie Richard (Carlene) Gardner, Jeffrey (Candy) Gardner, Kenneth (Marjovel) Gardner, Reginald (Yvonne) Gardner; aunts, Gracie Gardner, Jean Pettus, Marrie (Ronald) Tucker and Marjorie Gardner; uncles, P.J. Jerry Kennedy Lam, 43, of Springfield, died Friday, March 5, 2004.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Steve Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lam was born Nov. 4, 1960, in Robertson County.
He was the owner and operator of Lam’s Auto Sales in Springfield.
Mr. Lam was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Kincloc Lam.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Eden Lam of Springfield; sons, Bronson and Trinity Lam, both of Springfield; mother and step-father, Ethel and Billy Groves of Springfield; brothers, Doug Lam of Springfield, Harold Lam of Illinois and Timmy Groves of Springfield; sisters, Sharon Mantlo, Diane Casey, Cindy Groves, all of Springfield, and Terri Hansen of Iowa and Sue Lam of Kentucky.

Don Frey “Donnie” Wilks Jr., 43, died Friday, March 5, 2004.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. David Harper, Bro. Billy Traughber, and Steve Perry officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wilks was born Dec. 20, 1960, in Robertson County.
He was a pipeliner and a member of New Life General Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilks was preceded in death by his father, Don F. Wilks Sr., a brother, Rodney Wilks, grandparents, Hobert and Ethel Ramsey.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Wilks Brown of Springfield; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Ralph Leftrick of Springfield; a niece Samantha Leftrick of Springfield; grandparents, William Curtis “Pete” and Muriel Wilks of Springfield.

Marie L. Ruth, 67, of Ocoee, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 in Ocoee, Fla.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Ocoee Chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home with Dr. Walt Fowler officiating.
Interment followed in Ocoee Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lila Davis, her sisters, Inez Aultman and Ella F. Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Sherwood “Babe” Ruth; a daughter, Judy Hawkins, sisters, Ilene Kelly, Opal Strange of Adams and Jean Fuller; brothers, Willie and Woodrow Davis; grandsons, Derrick Howard and Benny Hawkins.
