Cecile Mildred Farmer
Cecile Mildred Farmer, 95, of Franklin, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Hopkins Nursing Facility in Woodburn, Ky.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
She was a native of Simpson County, Ky., and the daughter of the late John Leslie Finn and the late Annie Virginia Sadler Finn.
Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a schoolteacher and also worked at the shirt factory.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie T. Farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Leslie Farmer and wife, Jenene of Franklin, Ky., and Bobby Farmer and wife, Ann of Orlinda; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.

Phyllis Ruth Chunn
Phyllis Ruth Chunn of Ashland City died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. John Maltais Jr. officiating..
Burial followed in Wilson Cemetery in Pleasant View.
Serving as pallbearers were Robert Hand, Larry Lee, Tony Collier, Tim Binkley, Wayne Yates, and Larry McCoy. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Daryl Yates, Wilson McCoy, Adam McCoy, Kevin Yates and AaronYates.
She was a member of Pleasant View Church of Christ and was employed by H.G. Hill Grocery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, K.G. Chunn.
Survivors include her sons, Phillip “Buddy” and daughter-in-law, Pam Chunn, Karl (Lisa) Chunn of Austin, Texas; daughters, Glenda (Larry) McCoy of Clarksville, Lisa (Wayne) Yates of Adams; brothers, Charles (June) McCoy of Pleasant “View, Samuel “Shorty” Jones of Pleasant View; a sister, Clara Morrison of Hendersonville; nine grandchildren, Elisah and Wilson McCoy, Jennifer Chunn, Daryl, Kevin, Aaron, and Ashley Yates, Adam and Ariel Chunn.

Aaron J. Freeman
Aaron J. Freeman, 37, a resident of Los Lunash, N.M., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services were held Thursday, Dec. 11.
Mr. Freeman was a veteran having served three years in the U.S. Army, and was also a National Guardsman for 10 years.
Survivors include his loving family, children, Ilene M. Daniel, A. J. Steven and Adam L. Freeman, all of Los Lunas, N.M.; parents, John A. Freeman of Greenbrier and Nei-Nei Freeman of Los Lunas, N.M.; his maternal grandparents, Otis and Faye Edwards of Hobbs, N.M.; many close relatives in Tennessee; and many friends in the Valencia County area of New Mexico.

Barry Dell Smith
Barry Dell Smith, 52, of Slidell, La., and formerly of Robertson County, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Robertson County Funeral Home at 11 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel with Tim Harris officiating.
The interment followed in Mt. Sharon Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born Sept. 22, 1951, in Robertson County, to the late Odell and Annie Margaret Shelton Smith.
He was a sales manager for an automotive dealership.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Terry L. Smith.
Survivors include a son, Barry Dell Smith II of Slidell, La.; sisters, Sherry S. Robertson and Melissa S. Wilson, both of Springfield; three nieces; one nephew.

James Walter Dillard
James Walter Dillard, 62, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Springfield with Bro. Othor Johnson and Bro. Chester Morrison officiating.
Interment followed in Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Ind.
He was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Jefferson County, N.C. to the late Ned and Nancy Miller Dillard.
Mr. Dillard was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Dillard, Russell Dillard and Joseph Dillard, all of Knox, Ind., and Mike Dillard of Clarksville; brothers, Bruce Dillard of West Jefferson, N.C., and Clarence Dillard of Mocksville, N.C.; sisters, Nellie Vannoy of Winston-Salem, N.C., Dorris Lakey of Mocksville, N.C., Betty Bledsoe of Fleetwood, N.C., Hazel Smith of Harmony, N.C., Georgie Hartvog of Newport News, Va.; stepsisters, Pansy Wilkins of Danville, Va., Evelyn Holt of Richmond, Va. And Libby Alheim of Marion, Ohio; 11 grandchildren.

James V. “Jimmy” Arms
James V. “Jimmy” Arms, 66, of Clarksville, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Standifer Place Health Center in Chattanooga.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Guthrie, Ky.
Interment followed in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Arms was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Montgomery County to the late Larry and Ruby Mae Bellar Arms.
He was a retired construction supervisor and farmer.
Mr. Arms was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Sarah Arms.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and T.C. Arms of Guthrie, Ky., David Michael Arms of Clarksville, Christopher and Jacqueline Arms of Clarksville, and Brandon Arms of Cunningham; brothers, Roy Albert Arms of Clarksville, Marshall “Pee Wee” Arms of Woodlawn, Danny Ray Arms of Greer, S.C.; grandchildren, Stephanie Arms and Nathan Arms.

Horace Hawkins Dunn
Horace Hawkins Dunn, 90, of Springfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at NHC Healthcare Center.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Claudia Carls, Dr. Joe Bragg, and Rev. Roger Spivey officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dunn was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Robertson County to the late J.V. and Betty Dammons Dunn Sr.
He was a farmer and a member of Central Christian Church.
Mr. Dunn was a graduate of Cedar Hill High School.
He was preceded in death by his brother, J.V. Dunn Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Parrish, Jane Murphey, Mildred Fentress, Flora Fuqua, Sara Harris, and Myrtle Head.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jeannette Dozier Dunn of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Jack R. and Cheryl Dunn of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Robert Myracle of Decaturville; grandchildren, Glen Dunn of Chicago, Ill., Amanda Barber and Sarah Myracle, both of Decaturville.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Central Christian Church Memorial Fund.
