Felix Ray Riggins
Felix Ray Riggins, 56, of Greenbrier, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Donnie Bryant officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Riggins was born July 10, 1947, in Robertson County to the late Felix Ewing and Elizabeth Louise Grubbs Riggins.
He was a plumber and a member of North Springfield Baptist Church.
Mr. Riggins was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wilson Riggins of Greenbrier; daughters, Jana Michelle Riggins, Chastity Suzanne Malugen and Destiny Rae Riggins, all of Greenbrier; and one grandchild, Payton Nicholette Keith.

Allie B. Garrett
Allie B. Garrett, 79, of Greenbrier, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Skyline Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Jodi McCullah, Rev. Jack Evans and Rev. Dan Yoder officiating.
The entombment followed in Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mrs. Garrett was born May 1, 1924, in Robertson County to the late Milton F. and Lorene Woodard Cohea.
She was a retired substitute teacher for Greenbrier Elementary School, with 32 years of service.
Mrs. Garrett was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she taught the Beginner’s Sunday School and led Vacation Bible School for many years.
Due to ill health the last several years of her life, she faithfully attended the church she grew up in, Wartrace United Methodist Church.
On Sunday and Wednesday evenings she attended Oakland Baptist Church with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Otto, Woodard, Raymond and Wallace Cohea, and by her sisters, Estelle Dotson and Maxine Bloodworth.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra J. Garrett of Greenbrier; sisters, Peggy Bloodworth of Springfield, Joyce Mayo of Greenbrier and Faye Federman of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Betty Cohea and Bonnie Cohea; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or to the Holton Children’s Home.

William Doyle Hughes
William Doyle Hughes, 69, of Orlinda, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Milldale Chapel with Rev. Bill Vance officiating.
The interment followed in Orlinda Cemetery.
Mr. Hughes was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Robertson County, to the late William Herschel and Eunice Wilson Hughes.
He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Hughes was a member of Orlinda Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Pinkston Hughes of Orlinda; and a cousin, Dolly Clinard of Nashville.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Milldale Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Thomas Russell Bush
Thomas Russell Bush, 78, of Springfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Whitehaven Residential Home in Adams.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.
The interment followed in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Bush was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Robertson County, to the late William Boyd and Sara Selena Carver Bush.
He was a retired salesman from Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
Mr. Bush was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Osborne Bush.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Regina Bush of Cedar Hill; a sister, Virgie Mac Jernigan of Indiana; grandsons, Shannon Bush and wife, Rachel, Chris Bush and wife, Kellie; great-grandchild, Morgan Bush.

Phillip Vaughn Hackney Sr.
Phillip Vaughn Hackney Sr., 61, of Lafayette, and formerly of Robertson County, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at the Macon County General Hospital.
His remains were cremated.
Mr. Hackney was born April 4, 1942, in Robertson County to the late William Cecil and Goldie Jewell Bedwell Hackney.
He was a truck driver and a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Hackney is preceded in death by his brother, Hilliard Hackney, and by his sister, Evelyn Hackney Gower.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Vaughn Hackney Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter, Utonah Ruiz of Antioch; a brother, Larry Hackney of Greenbrier; sisters, Betty Hackney Brothers of Greenbrier, and Barbara Apple of Ashland City; grandchildren, Alexis Mae Hackney, Phillip Vaughn Hackney III and Sebastian Cole Ruiz.

Julia Gunn
Julia Gunn, 96, of Springfield, died at NorthCrest Medical Center Monday, Nov. 10, 2003.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield, on Thursday, Nov. 13 with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating.
Burial followed in the Gunn Family Cemetery.
Miss Gunn was born in Robertson County March 2, 1907, to the late John Edmond and Lena Orndorff Gunn.
She is also preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Ellett Gunn, John Webb Gunn and Henry David Gunn.
Survivors include nephews and nieces, David E. and Melanie Gunn of Springfield, Chris Gunn of Auburn, Ky., Shirley Gunn (Mike) Rothermich of Gilbert, Ariz., Betty Ruth Gunn Ditmore of Franklin, Ky.; great nieces and nephews, Ginger and Joe Igou, Josh and Kathy Gunn, Johnathan Gunn; great-great niece, Morgan Eve Gunn; and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gunn of Franklin, Ky., and Ruth King Gunn of Springfield.

Jesus Rodriguez Martinez
Jesus Rodriguez Martinez, 65, of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Mr. Martinez was visiting his daughter in White House at the time of his sudden death of an apparent heart attack.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Nancy (Tom) Kelly of White House and Debbie N.M. Reyna of San Antonio; a son, Richard R. Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Remains are being forwarded to Mission South Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas for services and interment.
