Tyson Larone Groves
Tyson Larone “Traughber” Groves, 47, died Nov. 9, 2003, at Centennial Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at St. Matthew Holy Missionary Baptist Church, Springfield Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ben Williams officiating.
Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cedar Hill.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957, two months premature.
He found God as his savior early in life at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and just last year united with St. Matthew Holy Missionary Baptist Church.
He loved farming and was a truck driver. He served his country as a member of the Tennessee National Guard where he drove tanks.
He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Nona Lean Groves Traughber and James William Traughber.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kay Groves; two step daughters, Kelly Miller (who he fondly called “Shorty”) of Nashville and Andrel (he called “Pumpkin”) (Early) Johnson of Nashville; sisters, Wilma D. Traughber of Clarksville, Suvenia Anderson of Clarksville, Nigolda Dewberry of Georgia, Gwendolyn Groves of Clarksville, Doris Pearson of Clarksville, Tammy Lipscomb of Nashville, Lisa Groves of Clarksville, Mary B. Traughber of Indianapolis, and Janet T. Carney (Vester L. Carney) of Clarksville; brothers, James William Traughber II of Indiana, Clayton Groves of Indiana, Cleo Patterson of Clarksville, Antone Groves of Clarksville, Troy Groves of Indiana, Michael Groves of Indiana, Saad Yazid of Indiana; another mother, Dorothy Groves of Springfield; foster children, Clarence Ray Farmer, William Thomas Farmer; mother-in-law, Annie Myrtle (Michael) Senter; a host of sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; dear friends, Robert C. Wright, and Sedrick Traughber.

Richard Jones
Richard Jones, 75, of Russellville, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 21, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Northcut officiating.
Burial with Masonic rites was in Pumpkin Bend Cemetery, near McCrory, Ark.
Mr. Jones was born Sept. 29, 1927, at McCrory, Ark., to the late Elmer and Etta Elizabeth Browning Jones.
He was a graduate of McCrory High School and worked for Arkansas-Louisville Gas Co. from 1958 until 1985, in McCrory, Newport, Russellville, and Little Rock, Ark.
At the time of his retirement, he was manager of distribution for the Arkansas Division.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, a 32nd degree Mason with the Colony Lodge of McCrory, Ark., and a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, McCrory Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Pangburn Baptist Church.
Following retirement he moved with his wife, Eloise, from Little Rock to their home on Little Red River where they lived for 16 years. They returned to Russellville in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Jones; two daughters, Paula Jones of Russellville, Ark., and Elisa Jones Crunk of Springfield; two granddaughters, Jennifer Crunk Wetzel and her husband, Ross, of Brentwood, and Anne-Elizabeth Crunk of Springfield; a sister, Irene Taylor of Valparaiso, Ind.; a chosen sister, Dorthel Marlin of Brandon, Fla.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Ronald P. Bozza
Ronald P. Bozza, 58, died Nov. 11, 2003.
Memorial services were held Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Green Ridge Church of Christ in Greenbrier.
Burial followed in the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Bellevue.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of Green Ridge Church of Christ.
Mr. Bozza is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Sadie Bell Bozza, and a sister, Betty Ann McDole.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hewitt-Bozza; a son, Timothy (Veronica) Bozza of Nashville; a daughter, Tammie (Shane) Hackett of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Ashton and Sebasten Hackett and Benjamin Bozza; a sister, Tommie Bruce of Waverly; brothers, George (Geneva) Bozza Waverly and Bill (Betty) Bozza of Jackson.
The family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Juanita Herrmann
Juanita Herrmann, 95, formerly of Miami, died Oct. 25, 2003.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel in Florida.
Interment followed at Woodlawn Park North.
Mrs. Herrmann had been a Boynton Beach, Fla., resident since 1993, moving from Miami after Hurricane Andrew.
She was born June 5, 1908, in Greenbrier to the late Dusky and Kizzie Kenton.
After graduating from Hume-Fogg High School she arrived in Miami by train on Jan. 1, 1926, to enroll at the Jackson Memorial School of Nursing.
After graduating in 1928, she remained at the hospital for many years in various positions.
At the age of 73 she retired from Palmetto Extended Care Center, after serving 15 years.
She returned to nursing as a volunteer at the Brighton Gardens A.L.F. in Boynton Beach at the age of 85.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erich Otto, in November 1960.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Miami for more than 60 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha H. Supworth and Barbara H. Bailey, both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a son, Erich of Ft. Lauderdale; and one grandson, Mark Daniel of Miami Lakes.

Deborah Lynn Matthews
Deborah Lynn Matthews, 53, of Springfield, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Hap Hewgley officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Matthews was born May 9, 1950, in Davidson County.
She was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Matthews.
Survivors include her mother, Reba Dorris Matthews of Springfield; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests memorials be made to Greenbrier United Methodist Church.

Harriet Villines
Harriet Anna Lucille Clements Villines, 87, of Springfield died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. in Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating.
She was born June 12, 1916, in Granville to Ronald Bruce and Bertha Smith Clements. She grew up in Nashville.
She was a retired first grade teacher with the Robertson County Board of Education.
She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ and was a graduate of David Lipscomb College.
Mrs. Villines is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ronald Jr. and Harry Bartlett Clements, and by a grandson, Don Bruce Winters.
Survived by the father of her children, Robert Villines; sons, Bob (Debi) Villines, Van Villines; daughters, Loretta (Jerry) Winters, Lynne Hooper, all of Springfield; a brother, David Clements of Dalton, Ga.; sister-in-law, Loretta Clements of Hickory, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her loving niece, Mimi (Richard) Shepherd of Nashville.
